Tagrum was born in a regular dwarf society. He was happy there until he grew old enough to know he wanted something different.
Nobody really knows what really made Tagrum so different. Tagrum claims that when he was little there was a cave in near his home. His mother was killed in it and this left a mark on Tagrum. As he grew older, there was always something different about him.
When he turned 15 he decided that he no longer wanted to worship the dwarf god Torag, and changed his faith to Gozreh, god of nature. He was bullied relentlessly about this and his poor father received plenty of grief as well. But besides all of this pressure Tagrum never changed his beliefs.
When Tagrum turned 34 the dwarves decided they no longer wanted Tagrum around. They went to his house and attacked. They killed Tagrum's old father mercilessly, and chased Tagrum far away.
Alone in the wilderness, Tagrum was desperate. He traveled for months, trying to find someplace where he could stay and fit in.
Finally, after years and years of traveling, Tagrum found a spot where he belonged. He joined a large group of druids, and there underwent many years of training. It was there that he found his best friend, Mirrok, a wolf.
After his training Tagrum left and began traveling again. For another few years he traveled before deciding he wanted something more exciting in his life, so he headed off to the first tavern he came to, looking for a job.
