Hello! Crusaderwolf here with my completed* submission! The asterisk is because neither Pathbuilder doesn't have the Gatewalker campaign feats added in yet. Since I'll be taking Total Power the Warrior background feat gets me very close, only missing the Legal Lore training.

--------------------------------

Born and raised in Iadara, Taerialas was raised in the center of elven power in the Inner Sea region, steeped in his people's long history and surrounded by their great works--and received numerous reminders of their decline in the world, from the ruins of fallen cities to the blasted heaths of Tanglebriar, to the loss of friends and loved ones to senseless violence against demons, masked Razmirans, or other dnagers. Like many in Kyonin, he was trained in the fighting arts and served in his people's militia, though he was spared the horrors of a posting along Tanglebriar.

Instead, he settled in Cordelon, a River Kingdom slowly coming under the influence of Kyonin to its south, and the elven colony of Hymbria to its east. The elves have ambitions to eventually reclaim Sevenarches but don't wish violence with the human druids there--it was to this goal that Taerialas devoted himself whole-heartedly. But this was not a work of conquest--it was a work of friendship and assimilation, and so he set about making a life for himself. He fell in love with a half-elven woman named Niria, and joined her family's business raising domesticated crag drakes native to the rugged terrain of Cordelon. He and Niria spent thirty-four happy years together until she passed in 4711AR. Taerialas has not sought to remarry, content with fond memories of his late wife and the company of his riding drakes.

He might have continued like this for decades more, if he had not had is own fateful Missing Moment. While training a handful of drakes, a local archway, overgrown and barely visible in the foliage, glimmered to life and its visions drew him in--a New Kyonin, ascendant and safe from her many enemies, his people no long under siege. He was gone for three months. When he returned, he found his drakes gone--broken out of their pens and scattered into the wilderness, half-feral. All but one: loyal old Malachite, the first crag drake Taerialas has raised from an egg, a wedding present from Niria.

Taking the collapse of the last pillar of his old life as a sign, Taerialas was unsurprised when a stranger calling himself "Doctor Ritalson" contacted him, offering the potential to unravel the mystery and take a large stride towards his destiny. Filled with a certainty of purpose, he saddled Malachite and set out trying to determine the source and meaning of his vision, certain that he is being called to help revitalize his people's nation.

The only crack in his narrative of glorious destiny is a secret deep down in his bones--quite literally. Taerialas can now exercise limited control over his own skeleton, extending and withdrawing blades and spikes, though it is taxing to do so. This development disturbs him; it does not strike him as a likely gift of the elven pantheon, and so he does is best to ignore it and does not readily admit to having such powers. In the back of his mind, he suspects the this Ritalson person already knows about the change, and that suspicion disturbs him further.
