So yeah, didn't expect to be getting back into Overpower some twenty years later, but here we are. Went with the four starter decks initially on the Kickstarter, then decided the hero pledge made the most sense with the power station and two boosters. Pulled out and organized the old cards, built the starters and have played a couple rounds with friends. I can really appreciate the strategy better these days. Anyone else getting in on it?

The sending spell appeared to you out of the blue, not the accustomed face of Kreighton Shaine or Sorrina Westyr, but the masked face of a member of the Ten. ”Report to the Decemvirate meeting hall beneath Skyreach as soon as possible. Your assistance is required for a critical mission in defense of the Society.” A direct summons from the Ten is a rare event, indicating a task of the highest importance. Arriving at the designated room deep below the lodge, you find it richly appointed with seating for far more than your small group. Please go ahead and introduce your characters and make sure to fill out the sign in sheet on the slide deck.

Thread is open for final party selections and coordination. I would like to keep the gameplay thread mostly free of OOC comments, so if a discussion is raised that is more than a quick single sentence, go ahead and bring it over here. I will get gameplay up probably closer to the weekend, so there's no pressure on time.
Quote: This is an experiment to see if the community can handle this feedback without using it as an invitation for debate, or as ammunition against our designers, editors and writers. Would you prefer us keeping discussion about Society legality to a minimum to prevent this? I've talked to a few people about it but haven't posted it to the forums here. About Oneiro ManceBackground:
Dreams are strange and powerful things for Oneiro Mance. They are the only reason he knows about Agartha after all. You see, when Oneiro goes to sleep in his reality he wakes up in Agartha and the reverse also true. He's hasn't known anything else since he was five. He doesn't want to.
Unfortunately, the last thing he can remember from his world is a terrible accident. The screams, the fire, the blackness in his vision making the world fade away. He woke up in his Agarthan home, screaming, and has tried to fall asleep ever since. For him, this insomnia is more terrible than the memories of the accident because he doesn't know if he's dead in his world or not. So he's gone to Avalon, hoping he can find a way to fall asleep again, or even just learn what happened over in his reality. His insomnia has had one beneficial element. He never tires, and has started studying his paper magic more intensely, even managing to master the extreme basics of cardcasting. Description:
Oneiro wears the school uniform almost exclusively, and seems preoccupied all the time. His eyes have dark circles under them, and his hair tends to be just shy of neat. He's average in height and looks like he could use a few more meals. Books of Power:
Oneiro needs the following books to be able to go back to his home reality/word.
The Book of the Forlorn Blood The Book of the Pulsing Flesh The Book of the Power-Filled Arms The Book of the Trotting Legs The Book of the Rising Intellect The Book of the Supporting Bones The Book of the All-Seeing Eyes Origami Familiars:
