Huzzah!

Sounds Great.....but last time they made a commentment to PF2 it fell short. I own a bunch of stuff on roll20 for PF2 and PF1...ran a 4 year PF2 campaign on roll20 but some of it was never really finished. Here is hoping the make good on everything stated above :)

I'm really glad more platforms support PF2E, my favourite system, but honestly, it's hard to recommend Roll20 when FoundryVTT is out there, also officially supported by Paizo, the difference is night and day.

TBF, this competition is probably what pushed them to do this big push... that and some of WotC "recent" moves. :O

Wait isn't gold golem a 1st ed monster, the gold defender in 2e is huge so I assume its not meant to be that. Why have 1e battle scene but show 2e monster stats on the side bar.

What ability is that gold golem using? Nether gold golem(1e) or gold defender(2e) have 15ft cones on their stat block. Also the cone looks a little thin and shouldn't it originate from an edge or corner?

Seems stretch to say they have a "Commitment to Pathfinder Core" when they 1 Use a monster from a previous edition and 2 don't follow the rules for cone placement. It looks like they just threw some of their assets on one of the prebuilt maps and then drops some dice and markers down to make it look mid play without any care for the context of the game they are showing.

Cone rule for context.
"When you aim a cone, the first square of that cone must share an edge with your space if you're aiming orthogonally, or it must touch a corner of your space if you're aiming diagonally. If you're Large or larger, the first square can run along the edge of any square of your space. You can't aim a cone so that it overlaps your space."

Probably because they are playing the 1E AP using 2E rules? And it's just a mockup image for advertising the many different things in the blog anyway?

Homebrewing 1e to 2e is a fair augment but that cone placement is still wrong. It is originating form the centre of a square. If they can't even take the time to get the rules right then thats not a good sign.

Feel free to use it correctly when you purchase it yourself! :D

You'd have to pay me to try Roll20 again. I'm very happy with Fantasy Grounds, and I don't mind the odd PFS game on Foundry.

This is nice. I love that we finally can buy the full Return of the Runelords on there. Do you have any plans for further PF1 APs?

I totally get your focus is on PF2, but there are still many who plays PF1 on Roll20, so I would be great.

Ah Roll20 must be panicking now that WoTC is making their own VTT (and tried/is trying to force people to use only it).

It's saddening that paizo is backing roll20 and not foundry, when I left roll20 for foundry specifically for the features and integration that foundry already has. I'm not going back to roll20.

Why can't they back both?

They are actively backing Foundry more than Roll20 right now. xD Considering that Foundry is the only platform that they have proactively hired teams to convert their adventures... xD
The only thing they did to "back" Roll20 here is posting their PR on their blog, and selling them a license.

(And Foundry do deserve it more IMHO. :P )

Competition is always a good thing. You WANT more than one VTT out there, pushing each other forward. Having just one leads to one providing the bare minimum in improvements and customer service.

I've used both roll20 and foundry. Roll20 in my buddy's age of extinction campaign and foundry for the outlaws of alkenstar campaign I ran. Foundry is a much more feature heavy product, lots to like there, but getting everything going the way I wanted and getting the right version of the adventure to be compatible, getting everyone to my house bc I didn't want to pay for a server, getting encounters running smoothly with all the ambient features, properly loading in bestiary assets, walking the newbies through all the features *I WAS STILL LEARNING*.......cheese and crackers, I really just ended up wanting something simple to accommodate maps and tokens....it's all i really want/need/desire to run. All that to say, I'm very down for more Roll20 support for 2E.
