About T.K.4.2.1.

Originally an SRO (sentient robotic organism), Technological Knowledge Retrieval & Storage Unit model 421 (TK421) was created some centuries ago when robotic engineering and artificial intelligence was in its infancy. When exactly it was built and for what purpose TK421 was constructed is unknown, but it appears it was decommissioned for obsolescence sometime during/before the Gap. Other than the model markings there were no indications of its past as the de-energizing process damaged its memory files. As a result, it is unknown how long it remained dormant.

Two years ago he* was recovered and recommissioned by an engineer of the Datafiles faction of the Starfinder Society. His neural network was realigned and reprogrammed which included a wipe of his damaged memory circuits. He received a number of hardware and software upgrades which brought him into more common compliance with the current evolution of androids. Initially he was merely used as a mobile archive computer and data storage device to allow him time to adapt to his new condition and environment. Through his own, self-initiated program upgrades and those provided by the Datafiles, he eventually became a sanctioned agent of the Starfinder Society.

The combination of his cybernetically enhanced reflexes and high-speed positronic brain provide TK421 with heightened piloting skills (he "brags" he can drive anything in the galaxy) as well as excellent proficiency in both the computer and engineering fields. By continuously adding to his extensive library of "ability" programs, he has performed excellently on missions requiring stealth, scouting, infiltration, and data recovery, as well as precision piloting of the Pegasus in to and out of dangerous situations. If there is one area where he struggles its with social and interpersonal relationships. His original design did not include an emotion chip and his hardware did not contain a point to integrate one. As a result he really does not understand emotion, humor, etc. which can negatively affect negotiations.

When not performing specific missions for Hystoria-7 on behalf of the Society, TK421 can be found splits time serving as an archivist at Lorespire Complex.

*TK421 does not recognize a gender as it is irrelevant to his existence. However, he has found that most "living" races have difficulty with the concept, so he uses he/him/his pronouns for their convenience.
