Background:
Sylvara is the youngest daughter of a very influential family in Kyonin. Her mother is a high-ranking official in the court of Queen Telandia, and her father is a wealthy merchant. Blessed with natural talent and beauty, Sylvara excelled at almost all of her studies. Her mother had high hopes that she would one day become a highly prestigious wizard, and a prominent member of high society, but Sylvara found her true aspirations in history and the arts. At a very young age, she fell in love with the stories of adventures from the past, and those of her eldest brother Eldebran.

Sylvara tolerated her mother's attempts at directing her life un til a fateful day. Eldebran was killed in the battle against Treerazor's forces. The lack of an heir prompted Sylvara' mother to arrange a marriage between her daughter and the son of another influential family. This was the absolute last straw for Sylvara. Gathering some supplies, she fled from home to Hymbria. In Hymbria was Mirasiel Greenleaf, a ranger who mentored Eldebran years ago and featured prominently in his stories. They had met only once before, but the older elf made a lasting impression on the girl.

Having been sheltered in Kyonin all her life, Sylvara had difficulty adjusting to the rough life of an adventurer. The stories she had read certainly left out a lot of the daily pains! However, she finally made it close to Mimere when she was ambushed by River pirates. Fortunately, a half-elf ranger was scouting the area and came to her aid. Together, they defeated the pirates and escaped with their lives. However, the boy named Kaellin somehow took offense of Sylvara's graciousness and responded with absolute rudeness. The two bickered all the way back to Mimere where she learned to her dismay that the boy was her hero's son.

Despite their initial bickering relationship, Sylvara and Kaellin became partners, bonding over their mutual love of adventures and amazing tales. Over the years, the bickering between the two never lessened, but was now couched in familiarity and good humour. Together, they ventured into several lands, engaging in many exploits, before ending up in Brevoy currently for the past several months.

Appearance and Personality:
Sylvara started out very naive, sheltered, and haughty. She was quickly disabused of those attitudes from her first experiences of being on her own in a dangerous land. Her initial foray into the adventurer's life was a far cry different from having her attendants wait on her hand and foot. She had to learn fast not be accustomed to getting everything she wanted.

Still, Sylvara maintains her pride as a member of the Amalur family, and their importance in Kyonin. She still expects proper manners from everyone, and has little patience for rudeness or stupidity. However, past that, she is very sincere and courteous with other people.

She has a kind heart, and feels that her influence should be used to help other people. She has a love for stories and tales, and is excited to live new experiences. She hopes to one day have her own stories shared with the world and be remembered in history.
