Ok, I've got two things that I need help with. One I wouldn't normally come to a forum to get help with, the other I most definitely would.

So, let's get the easy one out of the way first. As a Paladin of Iomedae, would it be worth it for me to drop my Spellcasting and Divine Bond for a 1st level Domain Power and a Minor and Major Boon? Personally, the access to spellcasting is useful for wands and Divine Bond seems to be a very powerful tool for Archer Paladins. Am I missing something that would otherwise be very powerful in the Temple Champion's abilities?

The other is my character's backstory. The campaign I'm taking part in is a Pathfinderization of Expeditions to the Ruins of Greyhawk. Despite Greyhawk having been the official setting for 3.5, I know absolutely nothing about its history. My character is a middle-aged Aasimar who I want to have a backstory very similar, just without the entire being an assassin thing, to Kenshin's from Rurouni Kenshin. This fuels his ideals of wanting to protect what he can, even if it is only his party members and attempting to change the world one good deed at a time. Are there any events in Greyhawk's history that would work with this, and have happened in the past ~80 years? Or is this something I'll just have to insert into the world?

Ok, I did a quick search about this and the only thing that it brought up on the forum was someone asking if it was compatible with the Sorcerer's Arcane Bloodline.

My question comes down to its effect.

It says that when used as a Wizard's bonded object it "allows a Wizard to prepare an additional 3 levels of spells per day".

Exactly what does this mean?
