Hey folks! Quick question about this order. Part of it has shipped and is, in fact, in my possession.... but for some reason, the payment method has been declined, apparently because you guys are attempting to charge me for both the items shipped already AND the stuff that hasn't. I've got a pending charge for the correct amount to you for those items that have not shipped already hovering in my account, as well as a seperate transaction for what's already shipped. I assume that this is just an ordering glitch, but I figured I'd best ask. TJB
Just wanted to publically mention what I annoyed the group I went with to Free RPG Day all day saying to them: the 3PP Free RPG Day offerings were pretty spectacular. I'd put Temple of Orcus as one of the nicest products I'd gotten ever, actually, and LPJs NeoExodus adventure was equally awesome. I'd gladly have paid for either of them, and think they might have actually been better to run and have fun than the OFFICIAL Pathfinder module! The Gaming Paper product was pretty neat as well, although I'd have loved a smaller-scale copy of the map as well. I'd also mention that I'm fairly certain these did their job as marketing tools as well. I may be dying inside slowly from the sheer agony of waiting for Shadowsfall now after reading the preview materials in Temple of Orcus (Wanderers!), and, while I actually have the stuff from the NeoExodus stuff, I can see how it would whet the appetites for it from that module... and the one or two that I didn't have are high on my acquisition list now! You guys should be proud of yourselves! And the rest of you lot? If you missed one of these products, you should go find one ASAP!
Hey folks! It was my understanding that the print orders for the .pdf were to switch to a print/.pdf combo for the same price when that option became available. It apparently hasn't for me, and I would definitely like to get the combo. Also, this order's been lingering at "Pending" for some time now... is there a problem I need to be aware of? Thanks!
So after a fellow poster mentioned Frog God Games Black Monastery, I've learned to my shock and horror that there are some 3PP products that exist in print that I haven't bought yet. This... needs to be corrected. So, I figured I'd ask you great bunch of guys to tell us what's out there in print, so I can go snap some more of it up. Stuff doesn't have to be for sale just at Paizo either... I'm willing to go elsewhere to spend my gold if I have to! So let's hear it! Even if I have already tossed them some cash, maybe it'll inspire someone else to add it to their shelves.
Is there any chance we can convince some of you that publish either truly sizable .pdf files, like the recent Mega-Feats Revisited, or lots of smaller .pdf products around a similar theme, like the Undefeatable line, the Remarkable Races line, or Adamant's Fell Beasts, to publish the product in softcover form someday, or collect all the smaller .pdfs into a collected edition in softcover? (This could be as simple as putting them up on lulu.com's print-on-demand service for my purposes.) I'm seeing a LOT of good products out there, but am less able to use them in an actual game because of their electronic nature and the fact that I do most of my gaming here in the grand wilderness, where it's harder to find a place to tuck a laptop. Plus, I just really love to have an actual hardcopy of things to haul around with me from place to place. (I'm that kind of guy.) Price increases are totally expected and OK with me, even disproportionate ones... I'd just like to see this stuff made available that way someday soon, and done so in a way that rewards you folks for all of your hard work financially as well. I'd say I'm not the only gamer out there that feels this way. At any rate, it's something to consider, and I'd love to hear from you fine publishers about the chances. Thanks.
One of the things about 3rd Edition in general that really aggravated me was the elimination of recharging to magic items with a set number of charges. (The other was level adjustments for nonstandard PC races instead of a slow progression of racial abilities to keep them at par with their colleagues, but that's neither here nor there.) I've tried the following method to fix this. (I fully realize that this is such a minor rule it won't affect 90% of all campaigns, but I've seen too many people get really emotionally attached to their wands and such to want them to be TOTALLY expendable.) Repairing items. Using the repairing magic items rules to restore charges to an item for 1/10th the cost keeps every charge as counting against the total treasure value each character has, but doesn't totally make a trusted item die after losing its last charge. It's like buying ammo, which I kind of like. Thoughts? TJB
