    About Srillik:

Step 1: Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile…whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum…more elements are encouraged!

  • Srilik is a Nagaji, born to a cult under the city of Korvosa. He lived much his young life as a pick pocket working the less than savory parts of town. His “boss” never allowed him in the upper districts where all of his favorties worked. One day he decided to try his luck out and try to become one of the favorites. But he was extremely unsuccessful since everybody stayed away from a boy covered in scales. That night he was horribly beaten for disobeying the rules. He vowed vengeance upon his boss one day.

  • Srilik was double traumatized by the pickpocketing experience. He didn’t realize that people not living in the slums were prejudice against his type. Whenever he goes out he makes sure to cover up fully, head to toe, usually in his armor – full body splint mail helmet and all. When he isn’t wearing his armor, he dons at least two layers of heavy cloaks and large hoods. When the light shines in the wrong direction you can see that his eyes aren’t entirely human.

  • Srilik Now works for the Korvosa guard and follows Abadar. He realizes law has the potential to prevent may of the nasty things that can happen in the world and strives to achieve that. He also knows that the law can corrupt and is sometimes weary about what is going on around him and has downright refused an order if he deems it morally wrong. Sometimes he gets conflicted between the government protocols and Abadar’s teachings.

  • Srilik is very big and very scary, he always looks angry. He doesn’t have very good fine motor control but hits like a giant. He isn’t the dumbest around, but he does make a few terrible suggestions, with a golden one thrown in there from time to time. Though some of his ideas are fairly obviously bad a few people follow through with them because he has a very forceful personality and a deep commanding voice.

  • Srilik is down to Earth and pragmatic. He likes the simple things in life and loves to see others smile. But is afraid of when people will find out what he truly is.
  • Srilik's Goals:

Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.

  • Srilik wants to see the underground criminal community abolished as well as stricter punishments for the nonviolent criminal nobles. Korvosa is a land of strict laws and no one should be separate from that, regardless of class.

  • I want to see how things play out with common races and an uncommon race facing prejudice.
  • Srilik’s Secret:

Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!

  • Srilik tries to keep his identity a secret, he doesn’t want to deal with people who are afraid of him, or hate him just because he has scales. This also means he doesn’t have many friends, and none fo them are close to him.

  • Several of his squad mates know he isn’t human, they aren’t sure what exactly though. They trust him and haven’t changed how they act or treat Srilik. They also haven’t mentioned it to anyone else, even Srilik.
  • Srilik's People:

Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.

  • Ragnar Valance– This is Srilik’s best friend in the guard. They commonly go on patrols together, and by Ragnar’s count he owes his life to Srilik three times, but Srilik doesn’t believe in those type of favors. Ragnar knows that Srilik isn’t human.

  • Cressida Kroft – As the leader of the guard she oversees Srilik. She has had some problems with him in the past when he “broke” the law a few times (more or less didn’t act on the law) because of his devotion to Abadar. But Cressida likes him a lot because he is very dedicated, leads well, and does not have any qualms with dealing in the uglier districts of Korvosa. She does not know Srilik isn’t human.

  • Devargo Barvassi “The King of Spiders” – Srilik has been trying to get this guy for ages but he hides behind wealth, women and polotics. The one time Srilik actual was able to hold him he was let go because Srilik used less that savory tactics to get him into a bad position. He hates this man almost as much as he hates his old boss. He is sure Abadar wouldn’t mind if he was out of the picture.
