It's the mystical ninja class you've always wanted

5/5

This is my first review, so I don't have a dedicated style or format I use. With that out of the way lets get down to basics.

The Shinobi is a hybrid class in the vein of the Slayer and the like blending a mix of Ninja and kineticist in about a 50/50 ratio.

Thematically the main focus of the class is in forming a weapon out of elemental energy (not unlike the Soulknife). While the Shinobi's elemental weapon is highly versatile and able to take many forms; including ranged, reach, slash and more. It does lack on the damage side.

While this may seem like a handicap at first its actually a fair trade considering the class gets up +7d6 in Sneak Attack damage and can full attack with their elemental weapon from the start.

Unlike most of the hybrid classes I've seen the Shinobi does not lock off either of it's parent class's talents, allowing a Shinobi to freely dip into the ninja's talent list and the kinetist's wild talents. This added flexibility is something I fully endorse and allows you to more easily make a character such as Corvo Attano or the like.

Along with the Shinobi class you also 11 Archetypes that range from the Shikon (Add a little Bladebound to your Shinobi) to the Elemental Shinobi (even more kineticist in your Shinobi)

The Shinobi also comes with Favored Class Bonuses for all the major Paizo player races and a hand full of feats to help round out your Shinobi needs (Including Extra Shinobi Talent).

Presentation wise the book is of the quality you would expect from Legendary Games with solid layout & color.

Bottom line if you're looking for a solid Ninja/Mystic type class you'll find few better than the Shinobi.
