This character is the beneficiary of my "Elemental Awakening" Boon from Season 8 - my question now is, does he benefit from replays of a given adventure with an Elemental Affinity Boon?
For example, when we ran "The Cosmic Captive" last year, that was a replay for me and I picked "Water" that time (the first time I'd chosen "Earth"), so does Spenser here rack up another point of Cold Resistance?

Forged in a foundry, the brightest blade
The princess has vanished without a trace
My sword shall guide him to his goal
(The darkest minions come to avenge their fallen)
Armour of iron, it's made to last
Helmet of mythril, its shine is cast,
No turning back now, too late to run
Carry your sword like the warrior of legend
The odds are against you, they're closing in
Superior knowledge will help you win
Without the key you're stuck here
The maiden's life depends on you
The future is never certain
The pathway is rarely narrow
Only the mission matters now
Just pray the purest heart can win the day
Though the evil wizard's spell is cast,
The warrior shows his mettle
Daughter of the king,
Fairest maiden in all the realm.
Evil shall not triumph over good
He's coming to slay this foulness
Yay, he took his vows,
Knight championed to serve his king
The future is never certain,
The roadway is rarely stable
A true hero walks the hardest route,
To fight for truth against the bravest odds
The future is never guaranteed,
The highway is wrought with dangerous ends
Carry your sword and raise your shield,
The hardest fight of all lies straight ahead
Waging epic battle, with the wizard and his evil magic
(The hero's wavering)
All his strongest devils gather with him seeking your destruction
(Foulest incantations)
Perseverance guides you to the end. The evil can't withstand
the force behind your mighty blows. The master knows his time is coming
Now's the time to be most cautious. Pull no punches. Give no mercy.
Swing your sword to end this fight, the princess cannot last much longer.
The battle for evil has ended
The warrior's body WEARY
Princess in arm, he stumbles home
The mission's goal so close he carries on
The outcome is never guaranteed
A hero's welcome awaits you now
Maybe a shower and massage,
A happy ending if ever I heard one
Oh! That massage sure sounds nice.
Armour of iron, it's made to last
Helmet of mythril, its shine is cast
No turning back now, too late to run
carry your head higher, you're the warrior of legend
All of the maidens, they want you now
But most of all longs the princess fair (most of them all)
A fine king you'll make, some day I'm sure
At least till the sequel, where you'll have to do the same damn thing again!

Spenser rides along behind in uncharacteristic silence, seemingly starstruck at meeting the great Hao Jin herself.
I almost was the first to introduce myself to her (and deliver the bad news) in my own inimitable style, but worried that would have to mean making a Diplomacy roll, and others are better at that in this party than I. I would have contributed my own polemic when she asked for guidance, too, but, as has been true for years, incessant RL psychological torture has been compromising my ability to perform.

Yes, but the Silver Crusade isn't about opposing Chaos at all - it's about advancing Good. Fighting demons at the Worldwound may be something those two agendas have in common, but it's otherwise completely different. You sound much more like a mole for Hell, especially with that latter interest, which is actively opposed to the Silver Crusade's agenda. ^_-
Far be it from me to say you can't or shouldn't (it's a pretty Asmodean move, after all), but from what I've seen, Faction membership is almost always for sincere (or at least complementary and in good faith) reasons.

@Little Lya: I'm familiar with the Prosperity Boon, but where DOES one get that Gladhandling thing?!?
As a Knight of the Tome, Sir Spenser is versed in skills both courtly and esoteric, and favors heavy weapons and an edge toward the offensive in battle. Touched by the Fey, and more recently, by the elements, the righteousness of his cause (namely, to SAAAAVE THE STORIEEEEEES!!!) leads him to rally in the face of fear, and sometimes to swat it back in Evil's face, HA-HA! He is a knight in shining armor in the truest sense of the term, and bears high at all times, the Banner of his mysterious lineage (don't forget, so long as you're near it, to add +3 to your own saving throws versus fear, and an additional +2 to your attack rolls when charging!)
His Valiant Steed Lot serves as his mount, companion, and most importantly, surrogate common sense, and spits in the face of Evil when not cracking its neck or striking fear in its heart (or, in one case quite some time ago, sitting on it), and has acquired a bit of a taste for fly potions if you got 'em!
Should Sir Spenser's greatsword miss its rightful mark, it's probably because his long, droopy mustache has fallen off again.

DM Elan Morin wrote: Well, the Earl and the Grand Prince themselves would matter. But both are dead (or considered dead) at the end of this scenario so that's kind of a moot point I guess. Not necessarily! Just because they're dead doesn't mean their place in posterity doesn't matter - especially when we're talking about hereditary nobles!
DM Elan Morin wrote: There's an obvious noblewoman Spenser could try to blackmail: Karina Deckland. She is Chelish nobility. She helped the Grand Prince of Taldor, was defeated and forced to flee. Despite her hate for pathfinders I'd say political circumstances in Cheliax could force her to pay up to keep the details of her ignominous defeat hidden. Spenser doesn't do "blackmail" - 'tis passing dastard fare! - but that doesn't mean the fruits of his efforts wouldn't be rewarded by affiliates who would. I don't know if you could tell, but he is a bit naive....

"Verily!" Agrees Spenser, albeit uncharacteristically subdued. "To ken...that noble Taldor's neck should be gnashed asunder by its very Crown..."
He pulls out a slim, but very broad mahogany case, and opens it to stare at its contents: A fine vellum scroll, impeccably-kept, certifying that one Spenser Pellinore Quixote the Last is indeed rightful bearer of the title 'Marquis of Exupery' - it bears the very large and fancy personal signature of none other than Grand Prince Stavian III, Emperor of Taldor.
After a moment's contemplation, he snaps the case shut once more and looks up. The distant twinkle in his eye has returned...but this time, seemingly with an edge that was not there before.
"BLACKGUARD!" He bellows as he stands up. "This shall not stand! I, Sir Spenser Pellinore Quixote the Last, Marquis de Exupery, hath pledged mein own heart, flesh, spirit and steel to SAVE THE STORIES from the grommulous all-devouring sunset, and so long as aught of ego shall be, I shalt rattle firmament and cthonia alike that THE STORY of aurellian Taldor NEVER finis upon so silverfish-wracked a page - nor that of its anointed scion, one Kalbio Von Sneachda-Ruisseau! FIAT JUSTICIA, RUAT CAELUM!"
"Hie thee hither, gentle comrades-in-arms!" He cries as he abruptly rushes out the door. "FOR THE STOOOOORIIIIIIEEEESSSSS...!"
