Oh, good call! I don't use the heal skill much, and should know how to use it better. Sosche will do long term care instead of treating deadly wounds, since we're resting longer. Silly me. In that case, I get no extra healing (do I get an overnight rest or not as I'm tending people?), but everyone else gets double their level (total). If we rest successfully of course.

When he gets to the bottom, he re-casts light onto his helmet and picks up his coin. "Let's check things out, shall we?" he says excitedly. He is, after all, into history, and even studied the Azlanti language for just this sort of thing. He doubts they'll find any books to have survived this long, but perhaps a carving or two? One can only hope! He takes out his ranseur and readies to advance with the group.

I have a number of scrolls (see below) already and happy to share them, though they're likely of limited use to non-divine casters. "I could spend the day on my armor. I'm adding to it you see. We could watch one more night over the herd and then off to the Sunken Laboratory the next day if that makes sense to everyone." Happy to wait a day so Vexas can be better prepared. When we do leave, Sosche votes for the Sunken Laboratory. I can do water breathing for us with a duration of ~2hours each if we need it.

Sosche is tickled to be formally a part of the group. He can't quite hide his grin as he thinks about the next steps. He too isn't sure about the missing colonists. Certainly there are plenty of dangers in the field, but there's safety in numbers. The community shouldn't just 'be gone'. "We haven't found any solid evidence yet." he shrugingly admits. Or at least nothing he's remembered. He agrees with Fenna, they'd overwhelm the poor apprentice if they all showed up. "You should have some backup though. Sosche is tired from the exertion, and misses his family armor - as much a badge of station as protection. But he’s not as tired as his companions appear to be. Immune to fatigue Still, he’s very glad to be back after so grueling a descent. He vows that speed will be his priority once he gets some raw materials together. He does not like slowing his allies. For now he’ll beg his leave from the group, ”I should show my face to my former team as a courtesy. But I’ll be back directly, assuming we’re going back out of course.” He’ll rush, as fast as his legs will let him, to check in on his mates. Let them know he’s well and good and, hopefully, headed back out with the other group. When duty and civility have been accomplished, he’ll return to the group to see what he can do to help. It’s 7:30pm by the time we figure it out, more or less.
He hopes the others agree before he starts dragging bodies over to a communal burial area. He plans to bury them together, but not all jumbled up of course. Laid out as best he can in a long row. As each person is so interred, he’ll say a short generic prayer for their souls. He doubts any worshipped the Empyreal Lords, and so he keeps his faith out of it. That night, before he beds down, he’ll cast a Lesser Restoration via his vestment to try and help the worst off. Not sure who needs this the most, but someone please claim…
He’ll take a watch that night, and help break camp in the morning. While chatting over supper, Sosche mentions, ”Say, I have a new power granted to me to bless a shield or armor and improve it’s protective nature. It lasts for hours - anyone interested?” Magic Vestment at this level is only +1, the automatic bonus progression is +1, and they don’t stack. However, I’d be happy to cast it on a shield or two if anyone wants it. I get the spell no matter what, can’t swap it out, and don’t myself use a shield. Any takers?
