Special Abilities

Lame: Both of your legs are permanently wounded, reducing your base land speed by 10 feet if your base speed is 30 feet or more. If your base speed is less than 30 feet, your speed is reduced by 5 feet. Your speed is never reduced due to encumbrance. At 5th level, you are immune to the fatigued condition (but not exhaustion). At 10th level, your speed is never reduced by armor. At 15th level, you are immune to the exhausted condition.
Revelation 1: Skill at Arms (Ex): You gain proficiency in all martial weapons and heavy armor.
Revelation 3: Weapon Mastery (Ex): Select one weapon (Greatsword) with which you are proficient. You gain Weapon Focus with that weapon. At 8th level, you gain Improved Critical with that weapon. At 12th level, you gain Greater Weapon Focus with that weapon. You do not need to meet the prerequisites to receive these feats.

Appearance:
So he’s wearing full plate armor to be sure, but it’s the most dented, gouged, bent, undersized suit you’ve ever seen. Sosche scarcely fits and it’s clear from his movements, though more subtle than you’d expect from such heavy armor, they are more restricted then they should be.

He bears an absurdly large sword for his height sheathed across his back. You can tell from the pommel it’s a nice blade. His pack is trim and well made, but he apparently carries little for it is hardly bulging.

Though he tends to move about with the visor down (when it’s up it rubs so on his temples), he has a friendly face with little facial hair and deep brown eyes.

He also carries a heavy pick, finely crafted.

Background, Private Details:
His armor is a source of great pride, it having been handed down through his family for ages. Really, the only thing of value he received from his sainted parents. So he struggles to fit into it even though he’s lived in it all his life and has somewhat outgrown it.

The armor contains various damages, which he spends his evenings working out and around. For each bit of damage has historical significance to his family, and he was taught the meaning of every ding since he was a young child. The armor is somewhat limiting though, as it has cramped his legs in ways that will never quite heal (lame).

He does not know, exactly, wherefrom comes his power. He’s always had it to one degree or other, though it’s been gaining in strength and reach of late. He believes though, that the Empyreal Lord Soralyon (link) is somehow involved in supplying it. He hopes someday to travel to Magnimar to talk to a priest, or at least a worshipper, of Soralyon, but things have conspired to keep him in the area for now.

He’s lived in Torch all his life, making simple stone carvings for people (chess sets, miniatures, etc.) but also does some work on carving in stone lintels and other edifices for folks. Though he’s also a decent armorer he does, for the most part, stick to his own armor rather than others. He has been known to tinker once in a while for people he knows.
