Liberty's Edge

Zenseer. The Dip into the Feral Hunter is a good idea. I can boost my Dex but spread my ability points around more and being a Kitsune I'll look more ferocious lol. I like it.

Liberty's Edge

So much for arcane strike. It's not that big of a deal. As for Dex I want to keep it. Il use my favored class to gain hit points. Some guides recommend dumping Str for slinger builds.

Liberty's Edge

I want to make a Kitsune Gunslinger with a dip or two in other classes.
I know he will not be close to optimization but I always value flavor over an optimal build. I am basing his background on the historical Japanese rifleman unit, the Ashigaru. I want to dip into Inspired Blade Swashbuckler to get Fencing grace with Rapier and allow him to use Charisma for his Grit/Panache pool. I also want him to loosely follow Cayden Cailean so Im going to dip into either Arcane Duelist Bard or Travel Domain Inquisitor for extra flavor and lower level spells.
Any thoughts to which caster class I should dip into? Im leaning towards Travel Domain possibly Sacred Huntsmaster Inq and taking the Two World Magic trait to pick up Prestidigitation for pure flavor and fluff.

Liberty's Edge

Would I be better of making a Hunter/Gunslinger combo?

Liberty's Edge

Drogos, I see what you mean. After playing a Hunter, I'm used to thinking in terms of minutes and not rounds. That makes a huge difference. I could just make two characters and see which one plays best.

Liberty's Edge

Right now I'm looking at multiclassing Musket Master with my Sacred Huntsmaster starting at second level and alternating levels. It will hinder my spell and BAB progression but I am thinking of making a switch hitter build using a musket axe and trading out specialization for versatility is a part of that kind of build. Animal focus and bane combined with musket training will give me some decent damage at later levels and using alchemical ammo with Fast Musket deed will make reloading my musket a free action at level 6. I'll probably stop taking levels of Inq at class level 5/character level 10 and focus on Gunslinger. Since this route is more combat focused I might trade my Conversion Inquisition for Travel Domain and get 30ft speed at the start and then buy Boots of Striding and Springing and be a really fast and maneuverable Dwarf with an even worse attitude than most of his kin...Either way he will be a very unique Dwarf, fast or charming.

Liberty's Edge

Thought about it. But just played one and looking for something a little different. That's why I want multiclass a gunslinger.

Liberty's Edge

I know, that 20ft speed for a dwarf is going to suck but il save up for boots of striding and sprinting. In the meantime Buff myself or target an enemy with a spell then go into battle with my animal companion. I'm tempted to dip into Gunslinger and save for an musket axe.

Liberty's Edge

DT: I agree with you. My Fort and Will saves will be pretty good. I'm just debating if I want to bring up my Con score or Wis score from 14-16. I'd like to think either one would effect my tactics and play style. If I bring up my Wis score I would start with spells and then go into combat. If I bring up Con I would charge right into combat. I think for my style and character a high wisdom score would be best.

Liberty's Edge

Helcack: Oddly enough Handle animal is not a skill for either Inquisitor or the Sacred Huntsman Archtype so I have to take a trait to get it. Which is why I have to get traits to get it. AV, that is a good point, how often does ability damage come up?
How bout this score line up.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks for the response. The Conversion Inquistion switches my bluff, intimidate, and dipomacy to Wisdom. I took Clever wordplay to use int for Handle Animal. Dumped Chr to 5 cause I don't have a need for it since I moved my four main Chr skills to other ability scores. Blackthorn rancher is nice and would allow me to drop my Int score. Is it PFS legal?

I know this is an old post but I'll put my two cents worth in. I have a Level 2 Inspired Blade Swashbuckler multiclassed with a Sacred Huntsman Inquisitor. I role play him as a happy go lucky fight the good fight while drinking the good drink kind of adventurer. Basically a divine bard in attitude and play style.Casual and carefree but also tactical and wise.
