I am looking for playtesters for some new products before they are put on the market. I have been having trouble finding local playtesters, and would like to get a few second opinions before release.

In return I am offering free copies of the products when they are released, and listing as a playtester in the credits. Let me know if you are interested.

Hello,

I would like to cancel my current adventure path subscription after the last volume of the Ironfang Invasion Adventure Path is shipped.

Thank you,

I greatly appreciate the reference the title is making.

Hello,

I recently purchased a copy of the alchemy manual from my LGS and I have found some issues with the cover. When I took the price sticker off of it the sticker took the cover's ink with it, resulting in a blank white patch. I shrugged and figured it was an issue with the sticker, but after I got it home I noticed that any amount of pressure on the cover causes the ink to come off.

I understand it's a minor concern, but if you wouldn't mind sending a replacement with my next Adventure Path shipment I would greatly appreciate it.

I am also wondering if this is an issue that has been mentioned before, or if it seems to be an isolated case.

Thanks.

Hello,

Can you please move Order 3184253 to my sidecart instead of shipping it directly? I would prefer to save the extra shipping price and it's been a while since I ordered something new, so I thought the sidecart option came up at the end of the order, instead of showing up as a shipping option.

Thank you,

The copy of "Sword of Valor" that I received through my subscription began falling apart on the second day of reading it. It seems that either there was a problem with the glue that held the pages to the binding or it was not applied properly. Either way, I would greatly appreciate if a replacement could be sent with my next subscription shipment.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

Faceless Entertainment is currently working on a new PDF product for Pathfinder. The book will contain a number of NPCs with stat blocks for each one at a variety of levels. At each level the NPC's back story will progress forwards in order to keep in tune with their new abilities. My question is, which one of the following options would the Pathfinder community find most useful.

1) NPC focused, with each NPC having their own section with their stat blocks for each level arranged in order.

or

2) CR focused, with the stat blocks for all NPCs placed together in sections divided by level.

If you think one of these would be particularly useful, or have another suggestion, please let your voice be heard.

I would like to announce that McKale's Legacy, a D20 Modern supernatural horror adventure for 1st level characters, is now available for purchase here. This modern tale of horror was the first product produced by Faceless Entertainment, and is now available in the Paizo online store for the first time.

Although written for a modern day setting it would take very little work to run this adventure as fantasy, and it is fairly rules light and easy to adapt for any setting.

I hope you enjoy the horror!

Hello all! Slayer Dragonwing here.

I would just like everybody to know that I've started up my own little publishing venture called Faceless Entertainment, and that you can find my products here. For now I am offering the beginnings of what will hopefully be a long running series called "Eat, Drink, and be Merry," which offers a variety of taverns, inns, and other establishments for use in fantasy RPGs. I am also working on another project that will come along later, but I'll talk more about that when it's closer to completion.

So by all means pull up a chair, grab a pint, and warm yourselves by the fire. It's a dangerous world out there, and it's always good to have a safe place to rest after a hard adventure.

I am working on a Fighter archetype, "The Slaver" for personal use and eventual publication and this got me looking through some of my old 3.x material for any ideas that would fit such a character.

Two of the weapons I found (and am considering using as a starting point for my own weapons) are the Nagaika from Masters of the Wild and the Whip-Dagger from the Arms & Equipment Guide:

Nagaika - one handed exotic weapon, 15 ft. reach, 1D6 slashing damage, x3 crit, disarm (-2 penalty), trip
Whip-Dagger - one handed exotic weapon, 15 ft. reach, 1D6 slashing damage, 19-20 x2 crit, disarm (+2 bonus), trip

Although these weapons are both exotic they are also usable if someone takes Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Whip), so they are freely useable to a whip wielder. They also follow all the rules concerning AoOs and threatening spaces as a normal whip does. The two weapons are nearly identical in stats, with only the critical rating really differing.

I then looked at the Pathfinder version, the Scorpion Whip:

Scorpion Whip - one handed in AA (or light in UC) exotic weapon, 15 ft. reach, 1D4 slashing damage, x2 crit, disarm, trip, performance

Another weapon type I am considering adding is something that has the special qualities and nonlethal damage type of a whip, but can damage creatures wearing armour. However, my concern in statting out weapons like this or new versions of the Nagaika and Whip-Dagger is that doing so may completely invalidate the weapons in the Paizo books. I am not looking to create a powerful uber-weapon, but rather something to give people who want to swing whips around more options.

The two factors I am considering using to balance these weapons is to keep them as one handed weapons instead of light weapons and/or eliminate some of the combat maneuvers that whips are normally capable of, turning them more into standard weapons than maneuver tools. If I eliminate the maneuvers I would also consider adding in a feat to allow characters to use these more damaging whips to trip, disarm, etc., that they can gain later. I like the idea of whips but find the limitation against damaging creatures with armour makes them nearly useless as anything other than a tool for tripping and disarming. In the same way I think the Scorpion Whip is a very cool idea, but it does not do enough damage to justify using it as a main weapon.

What does everyone else think? Do any of my ideas seem balanced or am I trying to fix a problem that really doesn't exist? All constructive criticism and ideas are welcome.

An upcoming campaign I'm working on will be involving slavers and I was wondering if there were any possible suggestions as to which class works the best for such characters. So far I am considering Fighter with a custom weapon group containing common non-lethal weapons like the sap, mancatcher, whip, and net. I will possibly mix in some Ranger as well in order to give the slavers tracking and favoured enemy abilities.

Are there any other options worth considering?

I'm not sure if anyone here is interested in VOR: The Maelstrom, but the creator has been working on a 2.0 version for years over at www.bioplazm.com and he has now started a patronage project at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bioplazm/the-vor-20-project

I'm not affiliated with the project but thought I would do my part to get the word out.

<If this is in the wrong section please move it.>

I have a general question, as some friends and I want to start making some material that will eventually go up for sale (PDFs for now but print books is the dream), and I just wanted to make 100% clear that I understand how the OGL works.
The way I read it anything that is listed as OGL is fair game for inclusion as long as it is properly acreddited in the OGL document at the end of the work, is this correct?

My other question (using another popular thread on this forum as an example) is about conversions. For example, if someone was going to convert something to Pathfinder how much would have to be changed and how much of the original couild be left in to make it viable under the OGL (legally, not ruleswise).

To take D20 Modern as the example, a lot of people have talked about doing unofficial conversions to the Pathfinder ruleset. Everything in the book is OGL (if memory serves, I don't have the book on me), so besides the actual mechanical conversions how much of the original could be included without violating the OGL if someone wanted to sell it as a product?

Thanks in advance, it's my dream to get into this industry (even in a very small unofficial capacity), and I would prefer to do it without getting my butt sued off.

I just got my order from Paizo and I was overjoyed with it until I dug down to the bottom and realized I was missing something. My subscription for Pathfinder #37 (souls for smuggler's shiv) was missing. If I could get a replacement shipped to me I would really appreciate it.

Also, I placed an order for a few books to be shipped with my next subscription shipment. It skipped the one that should be shipping soon, which I can understand as I assume that one is already being processed, but it says that the shipment with the order will be shipped in two boxes. Is there any way I can cut it down to one box, since saving on shipping was the reason I delayed the order.

Thank you very much.

I just downloaded the final playtest PDF (man am I excited) but when I open it the computer tells me that it cannot unpack the font and so I cannot read any of the information in the class tables. Has anyone else had this problem? How do you fix it? I've tried downloading it multiple times but I still get the same issue.

This may be a stupid question, but I was wondering how the Summon Monster SLA of the Summoner interact with feats like Augment Summoning. The wording is slightly confusing, as the Summoner description says that you may "cast Summon Monster I as a spell-like ability." My question is would this feat affect the SLA or not? How about other feats or traits like Master of Pentacles?

Thanks for the help.

I understand that back issues of Dragon and Dungeon will be available "as long as they are available," but my question is, will the back issues be converted to PDF format once they are out of stock, as they have been? Or will they simply cease to be offered entirely?

There are a large number of back issues that I would like to pick up, so I hope that the former route will be taken, as opposed to the latter.
