Just needed validation for the statement.
The feat itself is not gamebreaking but the greater version could create some troubles.
Still, just needed a third opinion outside the group to be sure.

I'm building a Rage Prophet based on Uncivilized tactics with a friend and we stumbled upon this issue.

Uncivilized Tactics wrote:

Benefit: As a standard action, you can attempt a combat maneuver check against a creature no more than one size category larger than yourself. This provokes an attack of opportunity from the target of the maneuver. If the check is successful, you can prevent the target from using one arm (or similar limb) or one natural attack of your choice for 1 round. For every 5 by which your check result exceeds the target’s CMD, the affected arm or natural attack is unusable for 1 additional round. The target can regain the use of its disabled limb or natural attack by taking a standard action to do so.

But for the Rage Prophet you need Oracle levels, then this happened:

Maneuver Mastery (Ex): wrote:
Select one type of combat maneuver. When performing the selected maneuver, you treat your oracle level as your base attack bonus when determining your CMB. At 7th level, you gain the Improved feat (such as Improved Trip) that grants you a bonus when performing that maneuver. At 11th level, you gain the Greater feat (such as Greater Trip) that grants you a bonus when performing that maneuver. You do not need to meet the prerequisites to receive these feats.

Does Uncivilized Tactics count as a Combat Maneuver?

There's a third possibility. You gain a single level of spell casting abilities if you select Dilettante Scholar at 5th level, and a 2nd level of spell casting abilities if you select Dilettante Scholar at 9th level. Since, "At 9th level, he again chooses two different dilettante studies to add to his repertoire. If either of these are duplicates of those chosen at 5th level, the bonuses stack."

Well, this was unespected.

This class is getting worse the more i read.
Worst case scenario i would end with a CL of 12

I'm trying to build a Wizard 5/Noble Scion 10/Wizard 5 and i don't know what caster level i'm supposed to have.

At the 5th level of the PrC you choose one of your Dilettante Studies and the one related to spellcasting is unclear because:

Quote:
Dilettante Scholar (Su): A noble scion gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in a spellcasting class he belonged to before he added the prestige class.

doesn't actually say where i have to begin when counting my caster levels.

Is it supposed to start at level 5? Or is retroactive and i take a full CL?

Looking online i've found this general rule for PrCs

Quote:

Spells per Day

Many prestige classes grant characters additional spells per
day, depending on their level in that prestige class. This
is noted in a separate column in the prestige class’s table,
under “Spells per Day.” Unless noted otherwise in the class
features section of the prestige class, the spells granted by
these prestige classes adhere to the following rules.
At the indicated levels, a member of this prestige class
gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level
in a spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the
prestige class. (Unless noted otherwise in the prestige
class’s table, this spellcasting class can be either arcane
or divine.) He does not, however, gain other benefits of
that class other than spells per day, spells known (if he is
a spontaneous caster), and an increased effective level of
spellcasting. If he had more than one spellcasting class
before becoming a member of this prestige class, he must
decide to which class he adds the new level for the purpose
of determining spells per day.

But again this class lacks a table for spells.

Then again, my CL at level 20 is 15 or 20?

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/cavalier#TOC-Banner-Ex-.

Quote:
"As long as the cavalier’s banner is clearly visible, all allies within 60 feet receive... / The banner must be at least Small or larger and must be carried or displayed by the cavalier or his mount to function."

I assume that in case of a concealed cavalier the banner doesn't work, am i right?

And looking for Greater Banner

Quote:
"In addition, while his banner is displayed, the cavalier can spend a standard action to wave the banner through the air"

To wave the banner implies that the banner must be something i'm holding or i have to hold the banner only for the purpose this ability?

I'm discussing about the class with some friends and we don't know what we are supposed to think because there isn't a clear definition of "banner"

I've some questions:

1) What about Flurry of Blows? Can lose attacks or base damage?
2) Spellcasters loses slots or ability to cast some high level spells?

i'm arguing about this and i think i don't lose any of these. there is a FAQ about Negative Levels?

Quoting the bestiary

"Each round of immersion in running water inflicts damage on a vampire equal to one-third of its maximum hit points—a vampire reduced to 0 hit points in this manner is destroyed."

what if i use the hydraulic torrent spell against a vampire? Is it considerated "running water"?
