Yes.

Also Snyk Has Black Market connections which lets him treat Sandpoint as a Large Town (rather than a small town) for the purposes of buying items. So we should have access to mundane and magic items worth up to 2000g, with a die roll to determine items above that.

He can also fence stolen goods.
Snyk personally considers anything that has belonged to someone else you didn't purchase or receive as a gift as stolen, but he recognizes that most societies don't see it that way.

I'm so in!
Are you looking for character submissions or GM submissions?
Or just looking for a solid group of players and then build characters together?

I loved Mass Effect, (except the friggin' Mako levels), and I loved the KOTOR games. Those games had a kind of "loyalty" mission for each of the characters in your party that fleshed them out and made them memorable. It would be awesome if you let each player as part of their submission describe their chracters 'loyalty' mission. Like their own personal side-quest in the campaign, with new plot hooks, NPCs, new planets/settings for you to use as the GM. Let the players flesh out the universe through their backstory AND during the actual gameplay.

Before you stands a monolith of clockwork, the Bell Tower. Gears of every size click and wirr along the outside surface of the spire making it come alive in the setting sunlight.

camera pans up into a sweeping helicopter shot, music swells, lens flare, etc ;)

"Isn't it marvelous? I'd like to think it would give me goosebumps provided I had skin. Ta-ha!" -Cro

"Seems ekstravagant." -Xavek

Great cog-shaped doorways open up for you as you arrive

"I've informed the Madam that we are here. She's been expecting us, ta-ha!

the doors close behind you and the floor begins to whisk you upwards like a grand elevator.

after a few moments you reach the top.

The doors open to reveal what looks like a large workshop, all made of intricate clockwork of bronze, steel, gold, some metals you can't recognize and some look to be made of stone.

Around the room are various magical projections, some still some moving in a loop. There are images of Lastguard members in action, of kaiju using interesting abilities, and other oddities playing back as if for review.

There is Vilhelm Twinblade taking on the Night Reaver singlehanded.

There is the Cromativorefrom a few weeks ago with its Omni-energy breath weapon.

There is a picture of Adnocana, Largest kaiju on record.

There is a photo of the Crab Kaiju from only a few days ago as it was found by the scouting crew of the Intrepid.

There's even some footage of your own party doing battle with the freezing mist kaijuearlier today. the footage looks like its is from Cro's point of view.

In the center of the room stands a tall clockwork woman.

"Madam Cronoa, Squadron 21A here to report. Ta-ha!"-Cro

Without turning away from reviewing the projections she says "PROCEED" her voice seems to be coming from everywhere in the room.

The wars are over. The armies are gone. The world has been overrun with Kaiju.

In its twilight days, the planet's remaining and most powerful defenders came together and formed the Lastguard: an elite organization of the the very most powerful individuals this planet had to offer. Together they watch over Final City, which is the last remaining center of civilization on the planet. When the monsters come, and they always do, you are the ones who drive them back. Whether by magic or might, gods or guns, it is up to you to defend what’s left of civilization as we know it.

Character Creation
Level 20
25 Point Buy
Class: Any Paizo (VMC allowed)
Race: Any Paizo
Starting Gold: 880,000 gp
Traits: two
Alignment: Any
Please include a 3-5 sentence description/history of your character. (If evil, explain your motives in defending Final City.)

Final City will have City Hit Points. If a Kaiju gets into the city it can begin attacking the city itself. If the city is reduced to 0 hit points, you lose. There may be non-combat methods of restoring hit points to the city.

I expect 2-3 posts per week. Turns may take exceedingly long so i expect PbP will be a better format than around the table, so every player can take the time they need. I also will expect posts to include links to relevant spells or feats or whatever.

I’m looking for 5 players. Let me know any questions you have.

Rowdy growls in irritation as Chaos, his arch-foe, saunters onto the bridge like he owns the place.

Rowdy sees Zanbabe glare and interprets the entire the situation as Fours fault. He glares as well.

Each of the 7 levers has an empty keyhole beside them.

If the yellow key is used in any other keyhole the effect is the same. Pulling the lever causes the same globe to glow yellow and the orrey to spin slightly.

You and your like-minded adventurers have joined up to delve into a dungeon seeking a great treasure. You’ve each heard rumors of the Eye of Amrion, a legendary artifact belonging to a long dead wizard, Amrion. It is said to be the crown jewel of his treasure hoard kept locked away in his abandoned castle. Though no one is quite sure what it does or why it is so legendary. Whatever it is, it’s sure to fetch a hefty price. As you approach the rather unapproachable castle from the south, you get a strong sense of foreboding and the castle gates open automatically before you, their creak reminiscent of a wounded animal. Once through the gates, they creak shut behind you.
You are in the Front Courtyard. Exits are North, East, and West.
North you see the large castle entrance
West you see a walkway leading into ill-kept gardens
East you see a drop off with a rough cliff face and the sound of running water.
What do you do?

I’m new to play-by-post and couldn't seem to find a game that suits my style so i figured I’d try running one. I plan on paying homage to the text based adventures of the 70’s/80’s with a pretty standard fare dungeon crawl. I foresee this being a more hack’n’slash adventure, so if you need the full setting document and rich sprawling backstories of everything you meet, this may not be the game for you. You're adventurers in a dungeon. I plan on leaning heavily on the old school tropes of dungeon crawling with a few twists and turns. But I also want the players to contribute to the setting and overall story though character interactions and suggestions. I’m looking for for creative players and good storytellers.

Campaign:

Post Expectation: Every other day or better
Setting: Standard Fantasy Dungeon (ala Castlevania or Zork). Emerging guns before you ask.
System: Pathfinder RPG
Players: 3-4
Silliness level: Light to Moderate

Character Creation:

Starting Level: 3
Hit Points: PFS style (max 1st, then half rounded up)
Race: Any Paizo (obscure races may worsen your chance for selection, sorry)
Class: Any Paizo, VMC is allowed
Point Buy: 25
Traits: 2
Alignment: Any, just don’t betray the party.
Starting Gold: 3000gp No pre-game crafting.
Explanations are appreciated for complex or gimmicky builds
Up to two submissions per player,
Please submit character sheet or stat block with Background and Rumor(See below)

Background :

I don’t need a detailed backstory. Just answer these questions with your submission:
What was your profession before becoming an adventurer?
Why are you personally invested in finding Amrions Treasure?
What do you despise?

Also include 3 typical lines of dialogue or quotes from your character, displaying personality
Example (for a Wizard):
“Out of my way you neophytes! There’s Magic to be done!”
“Muscles are for the weak-minded. A good brain is stronger than a hundred backs. Now put your shirt back on lad!”
“ *wheeze* Nobody warned me I’d grow this old searching for immortality. *wheeze* ”

Worldbuilding Participation:

Include with your submission one rumor your character has heard about the Eye of Amrion, the treasure, the castle, Amrion himself or anything else. The rumor could be what peaked your interest and reason you are here, but doesn’t have to be. This is your chance to help write the story before it begins.
Examples: “I’ve heard that Amrion was a master of Illusions!”
“They say the castle reconfigures itself each night.”
“The Eye of Amrion supposedly contains the soul of the lost princess.”
Get creative. These will be taken into consideration during the selection process as well.

How it’ll work*:

*Hopefully
I’ll include exits when describing the room ar area you are in. Players can include the direction they’d like to go next in their post like ‘Go West’. Majority votes send the party that way. You can choose not to vote and let the others decide for you. Or you could pick a leader. We’ll figure it out. I'm very open to a more character driven campaign and will do my best to roll with your decisions.

A bit about me:

I’m a fairly improvisational GM though I do like establishing structure. I’ve been called a rules lawyer but I will fudge if it is for the good of the experience. I leave a lot to die rolls and random tables because I enjoy being surprised as much as a player. I will trust you until you are found to be untrustworthy. Being new to play-by-post I appreciate patience with technical things. lets not take it too seriously and have some fun.

Recruitment ends March 1st.
