Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Vasile:

With a strange look of surprise she follows up "....for you? Odd. It's interesting to know that Hathin has an artistic side to go along with his strong personality. How's he doing by the way, I've neglected opportunity to enjoy company."

Note of curiosity in her eye. "I don't suppose you would mind showing me the art he's painted with scar on your canvas? As long as it's healed not too private."

Sulie & Vasile:

"Ah your brother is joining you? I adore him."

"I suppose competition breeds strength, but cooperation compounds it. Should our goals align I see little sense in splitting our efforts should they be towards the same end. Competition without purpose seems simply wasteful. If we are fated to be competitors I do wish you luck, though."

DM Shane (Eudomia):

Upon noiticing the intent beyond the venomous gaze, '....Ah, halfblood is a pejorative. I must remember to cleanse such vocabulary picked up among the Infernal Imperium lest it draw unwanted offense...' she thinks to herself.

Silyph didn't intentionally mean it as a pajorative, but as a player I wanted to stray from using elvish over elven and never cared for half-x. Still that it was taken as such works well as from an RP standpoint.

Sorry for horribly misspelling your name Sulei. :(

Vasile (earlier):

Silyph looks at her oddly for a moment "Oh...why? Who did such a thing to you."

Vasi & Sulei (Toy Story):

Silyph adds "She's modest too, I saw her knock a charging half-orc flat on his back from 10 paces away with the force of her prowess."

She looks a little curious "Oh whom pray tell? I'm reckon joining forces and combining such groups would speed completion of task. I shall be heading there myself shortly."

Vasile (earlier in the week):

Vasile Liviu wrote:
During class, the first few days of the new week, Vasile sits up forcibly straighter in her seat, seemingly afraid to let her back touch the seat. If asked, she will explaining happily that she has recently acquired a tattoo, and, as an apparently unseen consequence, she can't sit back in chairs without pain.

Silyph takes notice of the unusual posture of Vasile earlier in the week. 'Strange I haven't seen such a thing except among the more insolent halflings among my stay.....' she thinks to herself briefly.

Inbetween class she approaches Vasile "Forgive me for being nosy, but I've noticed you're do not favor resting your back against a chair. Have you suffered injury or do you have some sort of back problem?"

This is mostly just Silyph being nosy and curious for RP purposes.

@Shane Doll Quest Knoweledge/Gather info rolls:

Knoweledge Local : [Dolls] (Untrained can't reveal anything higher than DC 10)
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1 Vhiloe's Aid [failure]
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 Silyph's Roll

Diplomacy: [Gather Information]
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 Vhiloe's Aid [failure]
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 Silyph's Roll

Time taken: 1d4 ⇒ 2 hours.

Upon first hearing the rumors Silyph takes some time to ask around campus, a few taverns, and the markets about Pestico's Dolls and Figurines taking note of rumors and where it might be located...ect...

OOC question: Is it fine if Silyph purchases a wooden holy symbol of Asmodeus and Nethys? The price should be a simple 2gp for both. She won't be wearing them over her robes, but it's something she might feel inclined to buy and wear.

Sulyiel:

Silyph grins upon Sulyiel's mention of the doll shop "Why of course rumors have lit like a fire and the inferno seems to have consumed the campus somewhat..."

She'll share any info she's picked up from on Knoweledge Local or her gather information check freely with Suleyiel should it reveal anything....so click on that spoiler should shane post anything up on it. :)

"While the mystery is intriguing the reward draws my interest. Mystery often unfortunately holds the gravity of the unknown which throws one off balance and can lead to surprises and misfortune born of ignorance. I do not care for it, but the allure of the reward is worth the risks as wealth will see our goals in life to easier completion." she muses clarifying her own motives. "Plus I'm a little bored anyways"

"If you would like to accomplish this task together as we have with our studies I would find it agreeable." she mentions candidly before adding, "However, a duo might has less strength than a group.....I know of a few sort who I performed a well...interesting task with earlier this semester. Perhaps their aid may see task to easier accomplishment; would you care to accompany me in locating them and I shall make introduction. I warn you some of them are a bit strange."

With an air of caution in her voice she tells Sulyiel "When dealing with the unexpected it's best to be well armed..." She'll make a brief stop to her dormitory and put on her armored kilt and spring loaded wrist sheath with sharpened dagger under her robes. She'll strap a quiver of bolts to her hip and tuck away the scroll of magic missile in her pocket before seeking out a few of her classmates.

She'll introduce Sulyiel to a few classmates she knows if he accompanies her and they can be found. Feel free to click on the below spoilers.

-----

Doll Quest OOC: Silyph will approach a few of her classmates once she's heard the word about Pestico's Dolls and Figurines. Depending on Sulyiel he may be accompanying her. I'm treating as if he is till otherwise specified, if he's not simply ignore the first part of my posts on the matter. If any character is unavailable for some reason feel free to OOC mention they're unavailable. The only people she has little interest in approaching is (Mael, Hathin, Adelaida, and Cezar) with Mael being the only one specifically that she simply dislikes.

Pakak:

Silyph approaches you with armed with a smile quiver of bolts and a crossbow strapped to her waist accompanied by a lanky looking brown haired elf.

With a halfhearted bow she greets the half-orc "Greetings dear Pakak. This is my friend Sulyiel; Elf of the 'Eska'Taure' (Elven for home-forest or homeland), Koyin, and future destroyer of nascent demon lords."

"Sulyiel, this finely groomed orckin is Pakak. He's a most reliable sort."

After introductions are made she gets to business "Surely you've heard of the rumors surrounding the toymaker and his reward? I know you're a rather independent sort, but both Sulyiel and myself are interested in perusing his trinkets return on his behalf. Are you interested in working together I'm sure such a task would be easier with your aid?"

"Oh and by the way, I like the hair-cut."

After any conversing: If he's interested she'll causally suggest meeting up at the shop.

@DM Shane (Eudomia):

Silyph approaches Eudomia with armed with a smile quiver of bolts and a crossbow strapped to her waist accompanied by a lanky looking brown haired elf.

With a curt bow she greets her "Hello again Eudomia, might I introduce you to a friend of mine. His name is Sulyiel and he hails from Koyin. I think you'll find his shared interest in weakening Treerazers reign of terror to your liking."

"Sulyiel, this was the half-blood I told you of. She's a deft shot with a bow."

After introductions are made she'll ask Eudomia "Have you heard of the rumors spreading it's way through campus? I figured the talk of reward might peek your interest. I believe Sulyiel and myself are interested in retrieving the toy-maker's trinket, but to do so by ourselves would be foolish. Would you be interested in working together perhaps with others as well? I wouldn't mind Mael coming along if you'd want, but I don't much care for rash nature to warrant any desire to work with."

After any conversing: If she's interested she'll causally suggest meeting up at the shop.

Vasile:

Silyph approaches Eudomia with armed with a smile quiver of bolts and a crossbow strapped to her waist accompanied by a lanky looking brown haired elf.

She bows deeply a little more than you're comfortable with upon greeting her "Greetings miss Vasile. Have you met my friend yet? He's in our class his name is Suyliel. I have it on good authority he will vanquish a nascant demon lord one day."

"Sulyiel this is Vasile Liviu her skill at evocation magic is astounding if not a bit frightening."

After introductions are made she'll ask her "Have you heard of the rumors surrounding the toymaker? Both Sulyiel and myself where interested in recovering his doll. With others the task should prove easier would you be interested in working together on such a thing? It might be fun."

After any conversing: If she's interested she'll causally suggest meeting up at the shop.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Suleiyel + Shane OOC:

Silyph actually has daze prepared, but she either didn't think to use it while hunting for strays or thought dazing a cat and shoving it into a sack was a little too forceful of a way to acquire a pet. :)

If nothing pans out she can probably swing picking up a cat at the temple she's been working at. Which is probably good news for the cat since it would likely be in the sacrificial animals department. Might be something to keep in mind OOC wise.

I do wish to ask though, during the flexitime interaction supposing Silyph and Suleiyel set up a study group would it be kosher to start using the bonus? I had planned on moving the interaction towards that possibility, should it be copacetic with both of characters of course.

Suleiyel (Flextime 7: Revenge of the Flex):

Silyph lets out a soft giggle at hearing Suleyiel's aspirations "I'm sorry, I see you've thought this through quite well. It is a tiny bit more than grandiose, but I look forward to telling one of the mayflies how I once walked upon the streets of Korvosa chasing stray cats with the mighty vanquisher of the nascent demon lord Treerazer." she pokes jokingly miming an indication of tiny by squeezing with her thumb and index finger to hold an non existent object the size of a grain of rice. "I do suppose it's good to have a strong focus as one's goal in life."

She fiddles with her hair as she continues the conversation "I don't know much about Treerazer only know of things I've gleamed out of books. I do recall my mother telling me of the beast at least once, when I still knew her when I was still quite young, but the specifics escape my mind and the tale was quite lost on me as I had never even seen a tree till my sometime during my late mid 30th year." she ponders the subject briefly and adds "Your clever reasoning might not be exclusive to only, though. I know of a half elvish girl in our class who's aspirations where set just a bar lower with merely vanquishing the demon lords minions......you'll likely find her better company than well..myself." with a calm acknowledgment that finding a way to rid the world of Treerazer simply isn't a strong driving passion of hers.

She sighs momentarily taking in the scenery of the busy street along the walk to market before muttering "It seems we're both foreigners in this city, though. You know honestly, I'd have preferred to study in Egorian. However choice was unfortunately, removed."

Still idly talking as she walks Silyph muses "I fear if I continue such pattern of northern migration throughout my life I may well end up residing in the crown of the world within a few decades. And cold weather doesn't suit me."

A short time later in their walk together she mentions rather out of the blue "If you're well ever interested in seeking aid in a task that isn't scouring the streets for cats. And by that well I mean if you ever need anyone to aid you in your studies, at school of course, I wouldn't mind having someone to accomplish such things with I'm always free. Not that I'm having terrible trouble in class and need to or have tons of free time anything, but if you wished to accomplish such things with someone else, I wouldn't mind fulfilling such a request of course." as she manages stammer out quite poorly she adds "I'm particularly good at summons if that matters."

Week 10 stuff:

Spell learning: (disrupt undead)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9 Vhiloe's Aid [Failure]
1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 - 1 = 25 Silyph's roll Success

Job Skill: (Temple of Asmodeus)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14 Vhiloe's aid [Success]
1d20 + 11 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 2 - 1 = 29 Silyph's roll [Success]

Money Earned:
2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4 x4 = 16 gp

Stress Roll (DC8 will)
1d20 + 2 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 2 - 1 = 8 [Pass by a hair again if got the mods correct]

Class during this week for Silyph is ordinary except for the few days she brings in a few dead bugs caught by her bird and experiments with a cantrip on them. She seems to expend a lot of effort in the task, but by the end of the week one of the dead bug fizzles with a hiss when she shoots a white beam at it with her index finger. The bandages have since returned to her hands and she asks Vasile only the occasional question about magic missiles between class. The stress of the week bears on her and there are a few days this week she shows up to class a few minuets late with unkempt hair, but she seems to manage it quite well. As always she's quite polite and very sparingly chatty with everyone she knows.

Suleiyel:

Silyph hears treerazer mentioned and she eyes Suleiyel curiously "Treerazer....

Knowledge Planes: (Assuming that's enough to know of treerazer)
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

"....ah? So you're a native of Kyonin? I'm sorry I just presumed you where a forelorn as myself. I suppose living outside the forest must be a bit unsettling for one not so used to it; I hope you don't mind me offering you a late welcome to the real world where cats scratch before offering trust, the air smells of rot, and those around you wither and expire in a bat of an eye." she punctuates her words in less of a sad manner than their substance more so resembling lighthearted teasing.

She suckles on the scratched finger for a moment before digging into her robes and retrieving some white cloth to wrap the minor wound adding to the layer of bandages along her hands. Brushing back her hair the scratch tended to she asks causally "What brings one of your upbringing west of Lake Encarthan? Surely you could have learned of magic with lesser difficulty in Iadara?"

Silyph looks slightly wary for a moment upon Suleiyels prying "Ah well I spent the better part of these last few decades under the charge of Sir Alenxitor Wintrish of house Leroung his manor lying just south of the city of thorns. Vhiloe made the twice weekly task of gathering goods from market remarkably simpler given that he would fly by the morning and deliver word the particular intricacies of the orders to the correct merchants before the house servants would arrive."

Silyph will continue to walk while talking towards the market district her posture easing from it's usual rigidness warming to Suleiyel along the way.

I have no desire to effectively wrap this up quickly yet I do believe the weeks are outpacing his conversation. I've got not problems letting them do so.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Suleiyel:

I would very much like. :) I think both of us got a little distracted and side tracked on things at different times. I'm hoping to move it towards our character learning more about each other. I'll try to respond more promptly if you wish to draw it out some more.

Silyph wanders about with Suleiyel she looks at him for a moment with an expression that can only be described as So you are an idiot? before it's quickly wiped off her face and she explains "Yes, that is my familiar. He's proven useful on more than one occasion. His name is Vhiloe, I let him pick it out himself a charity I soon regretted as it was easily one of the most painfully irritating two weeks of my life." she jokes at Vhiloe's expense despite his presence in her robes.

As they walk she reminisces a little "I saved his life when he was still a chick. Since that day he's dedicated his life to me an exchange I've grown accustomed to and thus bonded with him over the years. To that end I take care of him and indulge his desire....he made life considerably easier at...." she cuts herself off abruptly spying a cat in a back alleyway she maneuvers to corner it and extends her hand to it trying to get the feline to smell her and allow her to pick it up before it hisses and scratches her and scampers off into the streets.

Rubbing her hand slightly annoyed she seethes "I fear I do agree with him, though cats are aloof creatures. I prefer canines loyal, protective, obedient, more easily trained, and often with enough bite to back up their bark. I suspect Vhiloe hates them more for their proclivity for snatching up small birds in their claws and tearing them to shreds, though. They might be common, but I fear snatching one from the streets might prove well at least somewhat challenging of a task."

Silyph sighs "Anyways enough about my stupid little birdie he certainly doesn't warrant the attention; I hear talk of those that form an arcane bond with objects. I suppose that ring is of such things? I hear such objects are important to those that form such relationships....would it be too weird if I asked what it means to you? she asks playing with her fingers uncomfortably and presumably counting the number of cobblestone along the street-way judging from the angle of her gaze.

DM Shane (Adelaida):

Silyph smiles "I'm glad I came too, even though I'm not too fond of surprises this one was a pleasant one..." Throughout the revelry Silyph finds a seat and simply watches the boisterous activity every once in a while her left foot taps along with the beat of the music subtly ruining the air of cool-headed control she cultivates in wake of the chaotic festivities.

Later she taps Adelaida on the shoulder "I do not wish to be rude, but I fear I still had some studying to do so I'll take my leave of this place. Thank you for sharing it with me." and she gives one of her less impressive bows before cutting the night short.

Upon walking back to her dormitory she gazes up at the night sky and briefly searches for Shelyn before shaking her head in disgust 'That was less irritating than I would have thought, but why search for such a flippant shallow goddess who concerns herself aesthetics and offer her smile when I have yet to see her smile upon me. No, I unlike her or her followers I have less frivolous things that are more worthy of my concern. May her smile turn to frown for all I care.'

I've adjusted character sheet with accurate acedemic history, wealth count, relationship levels, and spell book. I'd be lagging behind keeping track of things and posting less often than I'd like sorry about that.

@Week 9 Stuff:

In class spell learning: (Ghost Sound)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18 Vhiloe's aid [Success]
1d20 + 8 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 2 - 1 = 16 Silyph's Roll [Success]

Free time activity: (Study Scroll: Magic Missile DC22)
*+1 stress till end of week 10 added it in to my rolls
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 Vhiloe's aid [Failure]
1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 8 - 1 = 8 Silyph's Roll [Failure]

Non-Dedicated Work Library:
1d8 ⇒ 7 = +7gp.

----

Silyph's routine is normal for her during class, but she seems a bit more wound up than normal. She manages to successfully throw her voice and make strange sounds at a distance learning a new spell. Upon careful observation bandages no longer grace her hands for the first time in weeks yet in their place are light pink healed over etchings carefully cut in what appears to be a star at a distance, but they're hard to accurately discern at a casual distance.

Between class she favors walking and idly chatting with gawky looking brown haired elf from class. She occasionally asks Vasile increasingly bothersome questions about evocation and force spells that are often revolve around the simple mistakes of confusing the arcane process with that of conjuration.

Outside of classes she stays cooped up in her room for most of the week studying only occasionally going out for food and briefly showing up at Gabi's library to help sort books and say hello to Suleiyel.

Hathin De'Lark wrote:
Don't have Knowledge (Planes) - so not sure how you'd like that to work?

The library thing might work (though it's mostly up to DM Fiat on availability), however if you're inclined to do any interaction with her Silyph spends her usual time studying at the library both her and Suleiyel occasionally work at and I wouldn't mind it.

I think the only characters that have Knoweledge Planes are (Vasile, Silyph, and Suleiyel)

Silyph's is crazy high and if you want to perform RP event she's in that library often enough and I'm open to it. You can probably ask Vasile if she knows anything and get by or see if you can do the research yourself too.

Suleiyel wrote:
Thank you for your patience. I'm over my creative block now. 8)

No worries. Whatever works for you works for me. :)

Side note, I'm the exact opposite of Silyph when it comes to Cats/Dogs. So playing her as a dog person is funny to me plus it fits IC.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

DM Shane (Adelaida):

Silyph looks intrigued "Ah the cavorters of shelyn? I take it you worship her? Well....I'm know less of her grace than I do of her brothers touch" she says hesitantly and draws down her robe a little past her shoulder to show Adelaidia the back of her shoulder that's marked by a few faded scars from years old punishment inflicted from the lashings of a whip. Along with the corner of a slave branding that's less visible and still covered by most of her robes.

Grinning happily she adds "I do believe I'm enjoying her display far more than those of her brother." She give a slight half bow to her roommate, "Thank you for showing me your special place, should I find one of my own share the joy it brings me with you in turn."

At that she listens to the music and occasionally lets out a lighthearted laugh when one of the revelers makes a joke. She lingers away from the Garundi woman her proximity making her slightly uncomfortable.

"I do hope they don't expect me to dance...that would be dreadful. she thinks to herself.

---

To the revler "Yes I'm new here; I only ask as drink would loosen inhibition and ease mind. Give way to my ridged nature and harbor loose feeling more befit for this gathering."

Vasile & Shane:

Silyph spends one of her days in week 7 taking a little time to scribe a scroll.

I believe the DC is 6, but I'll toss in the roll on the off chance you have a diffrent DC in mind and it isn't an auto-pass.
Spellcraft (Scribe Scroll, DC6):
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 Vhiloe's Aid [failure]
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 Silyph's roll [success?]

Cost: -12.5gp

Silyph looks a little bewildered by the note on Vasile's dormitory, but shrugs and travels one floor down and meets with her.

"Yes, I did bring the scroll. I've also added a few notes that might be of some help in the margins as well if you need them." Silyph states humbly as she hands Vasile the scroll.

"Forgive me if I'm being to forward, by may I ask why you've changed rooms?" she asks politely.

-Upon investigation of the scroll various segments of the arcane writing is written in infernal, and there are notes that indicate summoning an extra-planer dog or eagle seem the most potent. As well as confusing additional instructions that infer that when drawing a circle with the somatic movements visualizing a pentagram or pentagon intertwined with the circle and simultaneously drawing it out with the movements can distribute the power more effectively, but it seem rather complex and mostly academic.

Silyph gets along with her studies without much hassle this week. In class she manages to practice more lesser magic and ends up producing an Sigil that resembles an odd looking pentagram on her spell book to her delight. The bandages on her hands remain during this week and the bandages cleaned and changed out periodically throughout the week. Most of her time is split between studying her school work in Gabi's library and spending time at the Temple of Asmodeus.

Week 8 Stuff:

Learning a new spell: (Arcane Mark)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 Vhiloe's aid [Failure]
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 Silyph's roll [Success?]

Skill Check Job: (Temple work)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 Vhiloe's Aid [Success!]
1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 11 + 2 = 16 Silyph's roll [Does 16 pass? Success?]

Money Made:
2d4 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5 x 4 = 20gp (Or 5gp if failure)

Stress Roll:
1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 2 = 20 [Pass]

-I've lagged behind on keeping acedmic history accurate gold/inventory on my character sheet for a while now. I'll update it for accuracy tonight.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

DM Shane (Adelaida):

Silyph breaths easy once she sees the crowd, but seems a little out of place and eyes various Sczarni revelers with suspicion before managing a meek grin. She approaches Adelaida "So ady, I take it this is the very special place you mentioned? How did you find such a place?"

After a short while she'll ask one of the revelers "What does it take to get a drink around here?"

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

@Pakak:

Coming up from her slight bow Silyph responds "I'm sure you could, but I believe I recently read that 'no being can accurately claim perfection and as such to rely upon an outside force where one would falter is no weakness, it is strength, and merely cunning logistics.' The offer is always open Pakak. Should preference give way to need." before promptly leaving.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

@DM Shane (Adelaida):

Silyph looks around cautiously the music puts her a little at ease, but not by much, she'll follow Adelaida into the side room. Expecting something pleasant, but linger thoughts of the unknown still keeping her firmly on edge.

"Damn halflings and their insufferable surprises..." she thinks to herself, trying to sate her apprehension, curiosity, and unease by redirecting her emotions a little towards more fiery thoughts.

@Vasile:

"Ah yes, I suppose learning the secrets of conjuring a beast from the outer planes is a fair trade. You were unfortunately unconscious when I called fluffy to this realm. I do feel I should warn you the practice of maintaining such creatures on the material plane is difficult. I'm rather proficient at extending that link, but I'd be surprised if you could keep one around for more than a few seconds. With practice it should become easier, but it is quite difficult." she mentions.

She gives a curt bow "I hope this practice of sharing knowledge continues and propagates between us so that we might aid one another in our understanding of the arcane. Should I bring a scroll to your dormitory tomorrow?"

She'll bring you a scroll of SM1 tomorrow or at whatever date you wish, Vasile. Unless you wish to visit her instead.

@Pakak:

With a smile she says "Oh yes I think it's a fine device. Thought you might get a kick out of it." She thinks about Pakak's question for a moment "Oh I don't know. I'm most certainly going to stick to the established curriculum and take Intro to Conjuration, but both introductory courses in enchantment and transmutation caught my eye too. As well as the dueling elective. I don't want to overload myself, but I'm still not sure what classes to take....."

She adds "I haven't been having too much trouble in my studies as of yet, so if you ever need any aid with anything in school or personal matters always willing to lend a hand to help or ear to listen to ease cumbersome burden. I do believe I have other duties, rather than chatter all day with my peers so I'll be brief and simply wish you well." and she offers a courteous slight bow.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

@Vasile:

Silyph looks a little disappointed at the revelation, "Oh? Well it would like to learn it's functions even if I could never master it as well as you have. I don't believe I'll have the time nor the funds to take an evocation class next semester and the fight proved to me that I should at least learn some of the basics. Should my preferred magics fail me in a dangerous situation."

With a touch of curiosity she "Would you like me to pen my favorite enchantment to reciprocate the favor? Or perhaps you have an interest in summoning? I would gladly pay the cost of the materials needed to scribe such magics as well as a little extra if reasonable, should you prefer that instead."

@Pakak:

Silyph smiles, "Yes I do think the element of surprise it affords is very nice, but I mostly just found myself attracted to the complexity the mechanics involved in the device"

She looks a little confused at the latter half of Pakaks comment "Oh you mean...oh yes I suppose it could be dangerous, but not terribly so I haven't had many problems with it." Silyph replies covering her hands with the lengths of her robes.

If needed any casual sense motive would easily reveal she's not comfortable talking about her bandages after a little initial confusion she deliberately changes the topic.

Looking a little uncomfortable she asks rattling off "How are your studies progressing? I'm quite liking it here the change of scenery is nice. I can't wait till our first semester ends and we have more freedom with our course selection, if you don't mind me asking do you have in mind what classes you're planning on taking come Arodus?"

@Suleiyel:

Her interaction with you stands, as in my previous post. She's hesitant to start up a conversation with him as they wander about town and is uncomfortable and unsure of what to say in general.

@DM Shane (Adelaida):

Silyph looks a little unwary of entering the building Adelaida leads her to. She nervously clenches the handle of her dagger making sure it's safely secured in her wrist sheath before entering the building...

O.O Damn 4 imps? With no chase scene option? I'm guessing some imp killing revenge might be in order? :/

I'm now much more suspicious about where my week 7 event might lead....

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Included some minor RP stuff simply for fun and to spread interaction around a little more.

Silyph seems more relaxed and chipper this week. Near the start of the week she begins attending class with cloth bandages wrapped tightly around her hands a faint noticeable crimson tint of blood colors the wrappings near her palms. An accessory that stays with her throughout the week seemingly not getting any better.

Despite the bandages she performs quite well during practicing somatic focus of class and is quite pleased when later in the week she manages to levitate her book and her quill off her desk and spends her time practicing how dexterous and fine she can make the items dance in the air.

@Pakak:

At some point during the week Silyph approaches Pakak a glimmer of excitement in her eye in the halls of the Academy. "Wana see something really interesting?" she asks a little more chipper than usual. She raises her bandaged left hand and flips back her wrist and with surprising and dangerous speed a pointed dagger shoots into her hand as if appearing there by magic.

She beams and pulls back her robe to reveal an odd device made of metal clasps and a copper spring. "I bought it off an old dwarven merchant, it cost a weeks worth of tuition, he said it where he comes from it was a popular tool for assassins and spies." she folds the dagger back into the wrist sheath before it draws any more attention. "Pretty cool right?"

You have might not have any idea why Silyph has decided to share this with you, it seems she's simply bored and wanted to show off to someone with her new toy. The bandages on both her palms might indicate she's cut her self accidentally playing the the device.

@Vasile:

Silyph approaches you one evening after class with a slight tap on your shoulder from behind before a courteous bow "Miss Vasile, I don't mean to be forward, but I've been meaning to catch you between lessons for some time."

With a note of sincere praise she mentions "I was very impressed with your display when we dueled together. Knocking Hathin off his feat was, well, rather amazing." with a slight sigh she continues "I believe most of us are here at the academy to sharpen and hone our talents and I don't believe that pursuit shouldn't extend beyond our classroom doors. The group at that fight was most varied in their appreciation of different aspects of the arcane your particular display catching my eye."

Here tone turning more business like, "I feel that if we ignore our own peers unique talents we would do our experience here a disservice. I've been experimenting with the process of scribing the intricacies of my narrow scope of knowledge to parchment."

Getting to the rub of the topic Silyph finishes, "To that end I would propose offer, I would very much like to learn how you manifested that blast of force and would pay you for the costs of penning of it's details or trade you something of my own knowledge. So we might both benefit from each others talents and become more practiced ourselves."

The idea or concept of a study group has yet to cross her mind, but she's very interested in learning the minimum of evocation magic, particularly Magic Missile and was very impressed with Vasile's prowess and potency of her magic.

@Suleiyel:

Silyph quickly slams closed the book she was reading before replying "Well yes you are, but I suppose that's fine. I mean these books aren't going anywhere. I mean yes your interrupting, but I really don't mind I can always read them later." she stammers out uncomfortably.

"A cat? You mean a domesticated feline?" she asks before a very tiny bird peeks it's head out from beneath her robes.

Vhiloe:"VHIE! HATES CATS!" it squawks before Silyph quickly stuffs it back into the hidden confines of her robes turning a slight shade of scarlet.

"Err sorry about my little birdy He really needs to learn to keep his beak shut sometimes...." she mentions with an air of embarrassment and pointed annoyance towards her familiar.

Silyph ponders for a moment "I tend to agree with him though, I'm not too fond of cats. More of a dog person myself they're much more loyal....but if you don't ask many questions I might be able to find you a feline...that would sort of be in dire need of a home, though it might cost a few coins." she mentions absentmindedly.

"Oh! but that's not what you where asking, and so yes I suppose I could...umm accompany you around town. I'm not from this city so I don't know how much use I would be, but I suppose two eyes are better than one." Silyph agrees hastily before correcting herself. "I mean 4 eyes, are better than two. We have 4 eyes, yes." as Silyph brushes the hair out of her eyes shaking her head slightly when she thinks of how stupid she must sound.

@DM Shane (Adelaida):

Silyph's eyebrow arches at the unusual request and the mention of a surprise upon further inquiry "I fear I might not be as naturally excited by surprises as you might be Ady, but you've peeked my interest. Sure" she agrees to the prospect a little wary curiosity easily getting the better of her.

Week 7 School/Schedule Stuff:

I made a mistake on rolling for non-dedicated work last week, haven't calculated it into my total wealth so here's the re-roll:
1d8 ⇒ 3 gp

Spellcraft: (Mage Hand)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11 Vhiloe's aid [success]
1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 2 + 1 = 26 Silyph's roll: [home-run]

Skill Job @Temple of Asmodeus (Knowledge Planes/Diplomacy?)*
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17 Vhiloe's aid [success]
1d20 + 11 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 11 + 2 + 1 = 18 Silyph's roll: [success?]

*Not sure if the temple job was knowledge planes or diplomacy, tossed out planes but if it's diplomacy the modified result is 16. Infernal binders get crazy high diplomacy and she needs the ranks for diabolist PrC.

Money Making:
2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 x 4 = 24gp (Or 6gp if the she if she failed.)

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

I'm up for a little more RP as well and will include more of it in week 7...

Week 6

Stuffs:

Having little time since her arrival to simply relax in fact having little free-time or choice of her own most of her life Silyph slows down this week and spends an inordinate amount of time at Gabi's library reading old books on sophist philosophy, tragic ballads, and some Katapeshi poetry.

Free time spent: Relaxing

Silyph mulls over strange paranoid thoughts after having eaten some very questionable stew and turns her studies of minor magics towards discovering if someone within the student cafe is trying to poisen her slowly....
Spellcraft to learn: Detect Poison
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 Vhiloe's Aid [failure]
1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 1 = 17 Success.

After some experimentation with obvious poisons, a pepsi challenge, and only 20 dead mice later.... Silyph safely concludes that she can determine when food or drink is poisoned and begins periodically checking her food convinced the horrible taste and occasional upset stomach must point to something more sinister.

She spends a small portion of her time at the Library between reading restocking shelves absentmindedly.

Non-Dedicated Work:
1d10 ⇒ 7 x 2 = 14gp.

At the end of the week stress of the snowball effect her studies and many distractions begins to set in...

Stress Roll:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 O.o....That's cutting it quite close. Did I add the bonuses up correctly?

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Week 5

Sorry didn't think you were waiting on me. Am I the only one without week 5 posted?

Silyph's Week 5 stuff:

Learning new spell: (Spark)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7 Vhiloe's Aid
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 Success?

Working skill job: Free-Lance appraisal of magic items (Appraise)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 Vhiloe's Aid
1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 2 = 21 Success?

Money Earned:
2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7 x 4 = 28gp

Silyph spends much of her time studying and working this week. Her eyes light up during class as she accidentally sets fire to a balled up piece of paper on her desk before quickly putting it out with her robes. She has considerably less trouble with the complex somantic components that are practiced near the end of the week due to her interest in summons that often require such practice and her natural dexterity.

In between studying and work she visits the church of Asmodeus and drops 2gp into the collection jar and asks if there's any job openings for an imper with a sharp tongue and a knowledge of the outer planes.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Hathin/Vasile interaction:

Hathin De'Lark wrote:
Hathin begins to respond to Vasile, though does not speak when Silyph approaches. He grimaces at the elven girl baring his nascent tusks before....

Assuming he doesn't immediately dash off and she has a few seconds to respond...

Silyph initially looks frightened and intimidated by Hathin's reaction and the briefest glimmer of pain is quickly covered up by a cold stare and she briefly mutters "Forgive me, should my concern for injury draw a sneer I shall strike such concerns from my mind and free myself of the shackle of empathy. For your sneer is less endearing than your smile." as she turns to leave to find more pleasant things to occupy her time, concern and worry for her classmates wellness melting away with each step she takes down the hallway.

-----

Interaction with Cezar:

Silyph winces at the little boys thanks before quickly replying "Don't thank me, understanding nor the scroll are nothing of note worth your thanks." she pauses awkwardly looking uncomfortable and quickly leaving.

-----

Interaction with Suleiyel:

*Assuming he asks her about work? She's actually going to work at the library week 4 specifically so she can run into Suleiyel easily. :p

Silyph looks surprised by Suleiyel's question she seems to have problems thinking of an answer and fumbles with the book she's carrying "Ah? Um...There was some work I did with a strange lot recently, but it's already been done so I don't suppose that helps you...umm..."

Her eyes brighten with an idea "..well Gabi mentioned that she'd had a few books overdue... or missing....or stolen. I forget which." fliping through the closest book as she talks before finding what she's looking for "They should be easily recognizable by a scarlet "R" stamped into the back cover"

Pointing to the Red R stamped in the back of the book she's holding. "The tomes here vary in price, but finding one or a few for her might yield coin...."

Turning away to continue sorting books she quickly turns back to Suleiyel "If you come across any opportunity that you can't handle on your own I'll lend aid if you'd like me... err.. need me to. Anyways well good luck." and she rushes off to continue sorting books in a different area.

----

Week 4: Work'n, Learn'n, Stress Monkey:

Spellcraft to learn (Prestidigitation)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14 Vhiloe's Aid (Success)
1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 = 23 Success

Working Dedicated to Job: Library
1d10 ⇒ 5 x2 = 10gp

Oh noes stress roll!?
1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 2 = 12

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

At the funeral...(For those who are there):

Silyph stands silent her cheerful behavior vanished replaced by a look that varies on resentment, disgust, and anger. She'll remain quite during the proceeding lingering for a few moments by staring into the embers of the small funeral pyre.

She jingles the coins the evenings events provided and forms a half cheerful grin while approaching Mael with a slight bow, "While it was ever....enjoyable working with you...I do think I prefer our little tryst in the Arena better than..... this. My little pup tearing at your jugular was quite more pleasant than this somber affair. We should do it again some time. Provided you have the time and the stomach for it."

She'll leave walking briskly away from the scene as if to escape it's very presence.

@Shane: No heartfelt moments for Silyph & Mael. He's the closest thing she has for a punching bag and I'm totally comfortable advancing up the rival path. ;)

*totally wouldn't be opposed to bumping R-Score on rival path considering the above and how their job together went. :p

Week 3 schedule & private business:

Learning new Spell: (Message)
Spellcraft Learn'n Checks:
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13 Vhiloe's Aid [success]
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23 [Success?]

Workin for monies: (Skill Check Job)
Spellcraft Work'n Checks
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 Vhiloe's Aid [success]
1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 2 = 18 [success? (based on prior checks)]

Monies Earned:
2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5*6=> 30gp

Scribing Scroll: (Sleep; Cost: 12.5gp; DC:6?)
Spellcraft Check:
*Auto Pass*

Other stuff:
-Given free reign she'll ask a little more about her roommate given the chance during the week. Any random info would be nice, but if none is pertinent she'll ask how old Ady is and when her birthday is.
-She'll buy a Light Crossbow for 35gp and 50 bolts for 5 gp as well as a spring loaded wrist sheath if for her dagger for another 5gp. (SLWS is from Adventures Armory I can provide link, makes drawing loaded dagger a swift action; if she can't find one that's fine.)

----

During the week Silyph is pleasant towards her classmate, but talkative towards all of her classmates. In class she experiments with basic spellcasting on her birdie, she beams with happiness when she her efforts yield success. She takes notice of the bright looking elf she met briefly in Gabi's Library and is a little embarrassed when he inevitably notices her frequent glances. She spends most of her time working and studying outside of class......

----
Hope you don't mind if I jump in on the interaction Hathin/Vasile. Figured combining things would be easier than have two separate things. If it's not possible to be a part of the scene, feel free to wave it off.

Outside of class hears Vasile's comment and spies Hathin's Limp "Dear Hathin, what in the 9 hells happened to you? Are you alright? I'm sure someone here is capable of healing magic? Did someone do this to you? If you need me to hurt them I'd gladly oblige the sin of robbing me of your cheer and giving in place a limp and an the rare wince should be repaid in turn." She rattles off a jumping the gun a little shaken up at the realization that someone hurt him.

----

For Cezar a few days after the affairs with the Pseudodragons:

Provided she runs into him at some point.

Silyph approaches Cezar after class one day carrying a rolled up piece of parchment and confronts him. "I'd thought about what you said...well at after meeting...that man.. and while I don't entirely reflect your words I do think I understand them." she'll pause as if briefly reconsidering what she's about to do... "If you're going to stand to those that would wish harm and violence upon you without responding in turn, perhaps you could use this" she hands him the rolled up paper hastily.

"I put my hand at writing my favorite enchantment to paper, but I don't have anything better to do with it. So take it. It puts those weak of will into a harmless slumber. I'm sure you'll be a fine Mage some day and maybe this will help speed that along." she says quicker than she expected to and she looks awkward not knowing what else to say...

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph thinks for a moment...

Knowledge Local [untrained only reveals knoweledge DC10 or below]
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

"Of course, there must be some place we can manage this"

Whether it be a simple walk down to the beach-side, across town to gray district, or simply across northbridge right outside the city gates which is a shorter walk than to gray district; retcon her previous words till they find an appropriate place to pay respects.

@Shane:

Did Silyph find any genetic material? I figured the knowledge of the idea or principle behind scrying might be common knowledge but if you need rolls on whether she knows and thus acts on that let me know. It's mostly just for the idea of calling on or visiting pseudodragons after many more semesters of learning.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph nods to Pakak, "That seems fine, I'm sure that we can scavenge some wood from some of these crates but before that.... Silyph will climb up the ladder and search for any scales or shedded skin left behind by the Pseudodragons.

Provided there is some

She'll pocket the skin/scales "I'm not too well versed, but I do believe there are some divination spells that can discern location. Perhaps when our studies progress we can find Livianus and his kin again. I'm sure Cezar or the others would love to see them again it might make for a nice surprise."

After some time she'll gather up old bits of wood and make her way outside and begin constructing a funeral pyre. She'll ask the others provided they accompany her in such a task "Would anyone like to say a few words before we put the bodies to flame?"

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Shane: That's fine, it's a warehouse I'm sure there's a burlap bag or cloth somewhere that can be used easily if it's too gross.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

If they're still there...

Silyph descends into the hidden basement and returns with the corpses of the young dragonkin and looks around before softly mentioning, "Does anyone have a shovel? It would've been better if we could have subdued those responsible for this mess and forced them to bury their own atrocities, but they deserve a proper burial." contempt lingers in her tone to contrast her usual jovial nature.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph is surprised at their brevity "Shouldn't we not give their deceased kin a proper burial?"

She'll follow Pakak as quick as her feet will carry her.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph mulls over Cezars having trouble obviously having trouble grasping the sage like wisdom imparted in the smalls childs words "Forgive me; but I hardly see a man that holds the slackened leash of a rabid dog as innocent, but I suppose that's a matter of opinion."

Nah, that's cool I prefer to keep things OOC knoweledge to a minimum it's simply easier.

As they walk Silyph mentions to Pakak "Fair enough and if it's any consolation I don't find your face ugly and those that would say so are but small minded fools." ever cheerful given events and the ominous specter of whatever rash decisions Mael may be making.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

at the bar before they leave...

Silyph is pleased at getting the merchant to pay for her next drink takes a half hearted sip of it sharing any info on the names of those involved as is appropriate.

She's caught off guard by Hathin, "Oh? I'm sorry just trying to get us a better deal. I'd never think to gamble with your life if I've offended I apologize."

As Eudomia and Pakak leave the bar with her in tow leaving a majority of her drink unfinished she mentions "With a little more bit of luck and a stronger measure of solidarity that might have worked. The extra coin could have always been donated to a church to help those afflicted with Pesh addiction or paid for some sort of token for further reparation to the wronged dragonkin, if we where so inclined." she'll speak more directly towards Eudomia as they leave "I apologize if I was too forward I'm not one for hesitation when opportunity presents itself."

outside the bar...

Silyph cracks her knuckles lets out a light giggle that turns into a hic'up head still swimming with intoxicants and the rush of the heated situation 'that was considerably more fun then I thought it'd be' she thinks to herself. She adds to Eudomia's evaluation "Yes, I do believe we still have a few loose ends to tie, but before that....."

she walks over to Cezar with a measured aggressive stride that looks to be trouble before she surprisingly bows deeply staring at the ground and speaks "I apologize if I frightened you, I only sought to punish such a shortsighted man who made it a habit of cutting corners and was inept enough to hire sadists surely ever blinded by his own bottom line. I felt it only appropriate to attempt to bleed him of his precious coin as a measure of justice" she takes pause "........I have an unfortunate habit of......overreaching from my lowly station....and for that I apologize as well"

she lifts her head breaking from staring at the ground and looking him in the eye "I hope you accept my gracious apology."

While they walk she'll pull out the pesh she'd taken earlier and toss it in a nearby gutter it's usefulness as a prop having outlived it's purpose.

So.....much....squiggly [language I know nothing about]....must...not...click spoiler x.X

Edit: Ah I missed that thanks, figured he was outside with Cezar/Vasile. Need more coffee in the morning.

Edit 2: ARRgggg >_<, Urdu. Note to (SELF): put more ranks into linguistics. I like not clicking on spoilers.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph looks rather particularly bemused as the balding man gets riled up "You can't blame a girl for trying, now can you? as her fingers circle the edge of her mug.

She'll interject after Pakak speaks, "So you'll take care of the rest?" she sighs a little disappointed "I was hoping to get my hands a little dirty teaching your employees a more personal level the price that their betrayal of your trust brings, but I suppose if you'd rather go for the less creative approach....."

She frowns and mulls it over for a second or two "Then I suppose we're done here, since I expected we would be doing much more tedious further work on this job so my original estimate is a bit off now. I can guarantee picking up a 4 copper pinches tab on my next drink would stem any normal impulse of burdensome guilt or obligation I feel to the proper authorities."

She jokes "I hear ale does that, supposedly lowers a young girls inhibitions"

Diplomacy (if needed)
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Silyph leans back in her chair and notices Hathin still standing as imposing and silent as ever and tosses him a passing glance the expression on her face easy enough to read.....

'well it was worth a shot..'

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph looks suprised by her friends reactions and asks Eudomia "Mael wouldn't be foolish or suicidal enough to try and slay the dragonkin himself? Spilling their innocent blood after having their children taken from them, he's not that rash is he?"

given any reaction from Leroung...

"Not to say I won't work for you mister Leroung, but you sought a solution to a problem with cheap purse strings. A problem which itself was merely a symptom of a deeper cancerous rot within your hirelings. You've got the blood of baby pseudodragons on your hands and the broken dreams of pesh addicts at your feet, indirectly of course. I fathom you'll have to make ammends for such ill in any case and loosening your purse is at least a start." she looks sadly at her empty mug. "Seems us Impers have a habit of not only multiplying at the drop of a hat, but we're also seem to be equally skilled at dividing. We should correct that, but for now my drink is bare." she'll turn to go fetch another ale.

Must not click on spoilers. Diggin the Aribic, though.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Sorry for the long post, O.o Silyph had a lot to say.

Vhiloe pokes his head out of Silyph's robes and eyes the merchant carefully with his beedy little birdie eye. As a skeptical feeling washes over his mistress. Silyph gives the balding man a causual once over gauging his emotions hastily letting his question linger in the air for a moment before continuing.

Sense Motive Check:

Sense Motive [on Leroung]
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 (Vhiloe)
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 (Silyph)

Silyph coughs a little and clears her throat before continuing her little birdie hops up from his hiding place in her robes it's beak opens to say something but the sound of a mug falling and breaking from further in the tavern spooks him and he immediately darts back into the hidden confines of the robes.

Diplomacy Check:

Diplomacy Check (If needed)
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2 (Vhiloe's aid another [Failure])
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 (Silyph)

Silyph smiles coyly "As to what we found well...." she pulls out the pesh she pocketed from the warehouse and casually places it on the table "......a sizable amount of this" she continues with a naive tone "Do you know what it is? I didn't, but it looked like some kind of drug. They tell me it's pesh" she motions to the others and pockets it again not letting it linger out in the open for too long. "We found it in a hidden basement in your warehouse along with a strange fighting pit and a few dead immature pseudodragons. You wouldn't know anything about this would you?"

She'll give him a moment to speak up and answer before quickly continuing "Well fortunately we didn't jump to conclusions and actually found the Pseudodragons quite forthcoming as we didn't approach them with brute force unlike some others they've mentioned." she takes a sip of her ale "So there's good news and there's bad news. The good news is that the dragonkin pointed us in the right direction and we've discovered the identities of those in your employ responsible for these things and made some headway in getting your pest problem to leave on their own accord and I'm sure we'll all be glad to discuss how to handle things with you, but that brings me to the bad news......"

she takes yet another sip of her ale "You see the bad news is I personally joined this job merely to deal with a pseudodragon problem, dealing with your hirelings and covering up smuggling, illicit substances, vice tax evasion, and a blood sport racket wasn't in the job description. I'm afraid I'll walk away from such a job as the price isn't nearly worth the headache nor complications...." she takes another sip casually "A job like that I would eyeball at around 560gp, what do you all think? she motions to the rest of the party ".....to me that seems appropriate; coincidentally split seven ways that the price of tution for one class for an Imper, funny how coincidences are don't ya think?"

She'll take sip of her ale her drink almost finished "What do you think though, does that price sound about right? You can of course resolve the problem by finding some means of fighting off the dragonkin and cover it all up in the time it takes my guilt to over come my conscience leading my feet to the nearest Korvosan guard outpost.....and doing what would be my civic duty in exposing all the vile things that have gone on in the warehouse you're liable for cheaper then that's always an option" she punctuates the last statement with a blank curious stare before breaking the silence with a smile and finishing off her drink "Well that was refreshing I might have another" she muses absentmindedly.

Intimidate Check:

Intimidate check (if needed to punctuate the end of her dialogue)
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph glaces to Eudomia and back to mael with a look of curiosity, and if no one speaks she'll add "Should we be summoned from hell we are no doubt bound to you and your task as though your own infernal servants" she makes the joke with a humble bow, "I am Silyph....and this is...." she'll trail off pointing to the new additions and giving their names.

When she's finished she'll her tone will turn foreboding "And I'm afraid your troubles at the warehouse have become multiplied beyond a closed down storehouse and a pseudodragon problem, I fear it could lose you 'a lot' more money than a slight delay in warehouse operations......so we came to call such issue to your attention...." she'll wet his appetite and try to gauge his reaction or see if he enquirers further.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph will follow Eudomia and Mael drawing the hood of her robe to conceal her features as soon as she notices the man.

She'll find a nice comfortable place to sit and gauge for any social cues before she attempts to speak.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph puts down a few copper as she eagerly grabs her mug of ale. She turns to Vasile "Your brother is awfully skittish isn't he? Afraid of lingering in a tavern?" she takes a long sip before continuing "It's actually kind of.... *Bweeaaaauuugh*......." as a slight ill timed belch interrupts her conversation a look of terror and embarrassment washes over her as she immediately goes quiet and takes sips of her drink with far less frequency.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph follows vasile's lead. Except she also orders a mug of ale.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph nods softly "I agree with Vasile if the four took the effort to hide this from Arnolt Leroung then he won't be pleased to hear of it and there may be some consequence in store for them"

She adds "While I don't care much for sating these dragonkin's need for vengeance the idea of forcing the four to do battle to the death in their own pit with the victor knowing our mercy seems, well appropriately poetic."

Turning to Eudomia she asks "Would it be possible to set up a meeting with Mister Leroung for later this afternoon?"

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

The thought never crossed my mind. :)

Silyph returns from the receiving office carrying a piece of paper, "I believe I've rooted out the names of the four likely involved. Shall we arrange a meeting with Mr. Leroung and the dragonkin or will we be taking a more hands on approach in their imminent termination of employment?"

She looks a little sad by Vasiles and lets out a sigh, "Well as long as we're getting paid, still idle hands are Asmodeus tools and my hands seem quite idle as of late." with a tinge of disappointment in her tone.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph looks satisfied. She bows to the pseusdodragons before moving to the receiving office to pilfer through papers, looking for a work logg of some kind. Taking a 20 on a search check, any aid would be appreciated.

After she spends time rummaging through things she'll ask the group, "So are we to inquire of the identities of these men described. We have a pliable source here just outside these doors, if we wish not to trouble Mister Leroung. We could bring him before the Dragonkin to see if he participated as well, and if so confirm or deny that Mister Leroung was ignorant of what transpired based upon his reaction at threatening to tell his boss."

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph listens carefully she chimes in at Hathins response. "Worry not Hathin my dear Fluffy is persuasive enough to loosen his tongue" she says with a smile.

She adds her own question to the mix in Draconic....

Draconic:

"Do all the men who work here aside from the plump one know of the passageway and partake in such grievance? If not would you remember the days or nights those that delved into the passageway?

She'll translate their answer and the question to keep Hathin in the loop and indicate that the receiving office may hold time sheets of works to cross reference with the dragonkin.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph turns to Eudomia and Mael, "Is that not the description of Ma..ister Leroung?"

She adds grimly a little annoyed by these complexity of the matter "Perhaps the receiving office could yield names of those in charge that may be behind this grievance, or we could set task to purpose by finding out what the door guard knows as he works here."

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

earlier...

Silyph looks surprised by Vasile, "Oh I do mean it with an absence of malice, and I only intend to be mean and hurtful if it becomes necessary or expedient to our cause. In that we extract needed information by the easiest means possible, if that involves kind words or playing a little rough then so it shall. Both are sufficient tolls to clear us of our ignorance." she adds "I only intend to do what the simplest of what is required for a resolve"

Upon Pakak's addition "True, perhaps upon our return the dragonkin will be more forthcoming than sorrowful stares and less obtuse. The receiving office might hold more clues to who directly oversees operations at this warehouse as well and might not be difficult to sort out now that we know what we're seeking."

Upon reuniting with the rest of the party...

Silyph will confirm with the others what they've discovered and express the same similar concerns and thoughts over the matter as she did while investigating the hidden cache. She'll wait for input from the others and further light to be shed on the matter if the Pseudodragons elaborate.

Silyph nods at Pakaks questioning in Draconic in agreement she adds in common "Their plight is unfortunate, however I'd prefer a course of action in which we still get paid regardless of outcome. That doesn't preclude me helping these dragonkin, though. I'm on the side of making money for tuition to further my studies."

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph pauses and spends a minute or two thinking it over, "You all may know more about the laws of this land far better than I, however we're still not certain who's doing this is...." taking a moment to collect her thoughts, "It seems extraordinary stupid of our client to hire us to 'find out what they want' if he knew of the matter. He could have simply hired us with direct orders to dispatch the dragonkin otherwise, or paid for more competent mercenaries who wouldn't ask questions if it was known the warehouse also harbored at the very least a smuggling cache....this reeks of subordinates trying to make extra coin at the risk of their own masters neck."

After a little sizable time to let that linger in the air and her mulling over her thoughts Silyph will pipe up with a pleased grin, "Lucky for us there was one of his subordinates outside who let us in, yes? Perhaps we can...extract... needed answer from him and shed light on our ignorance?"

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph glances over at Pakak, "A half buried skeleton of a dragonkin, looks like it has been here a while. It's rather small, likely not an adult. There don't seem to be any further hidden passageways down here, either. What about you 3?" (The three: Mael, Vasile, Pakak)

Silyph sighs as if annoyed "So given this little revelation the question lingers, what are we to do?"

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph examines the evidence before her little birdie returns cowering and hiding in the sleeve of her robe, "Well then I suppose we know why the dragonkin are keen to keep this warehouse closed down. I don't know why they simply couldn't inform us of the transgression against them instead of imploring us to wallow in the dirt ourselves. The question is then posed, what do we intend to do?" she glances around avoiding gazing too long at the bodies of the dead creatures awaiting to hear her comrades answers and gauging their reaction.

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Ah so Cezar won't be delving into the underground passageway? So is it Silyph, Pakak, Vasile, Mael down here? Is Livianus with us as well I figured she'd only pocket the cacti once down in the hidden basement/room.

Silyph looks puzzled by the fighting pit, she'll wander the room checking for secret doors or hidden passageways. Take a 20 on perception over a decent portion of time. She'll let loose her little birdie who's much more perceptive with instructions to do the same to double the speed.

She replies to Pakak, "Nope, I'll check for any secret passageways or hidden rooms. There was already one to get down here perhaps there could be more...." as she works her way around the room briefly whispering into her sleeve as her little birdie flies around pecking at walls here and there.

Nerp, Herpa de Derp Derp Derp, the edit button is my friend.

Silyph will follow down wherever the group goes sticking in the rear. She mentions quietly to Cezar, "Diplomacy huh? We're knee deep in a possibly illegal substances in a narrow corridor somewhere we're not supposed to be with danger lurking around every corner....a staple of every diplomatic endeavor is it not?." she gives him a funny smile.

Didn't really care if anyone saw her doing it, but I'll make the check anyways.

OOC:

Sorry for the overt caution, House Leroung is made up primarily of spellcasters and they traffic heavily in magic items from a cannon perspective. Alarm being a level 1 spell it's well within budget for a wand, a stone of Alarm, or Alarm+Permanancy. It's cheap effective and can be silent tip off given a very delicate possibly profitable smuggling operation.

Would anybody be against putting an auto-pilot on detect magic for doors or entrances? Unless that level of caution would be wildly OOC or nobody NPCs included has prepared Detect Magic?

Silyph seems at ease and comfortable with her new cramped quarters. She takes note of the strange spiced Cacti.

She pockets a small amount of the Cacti that won't be missed. (One dose)

To her companions "I don't mind the stiff quarters, I'd advise caution House Leroung is noted for it's magics....among other things" (Hopefully this knowledge is IC)

(Knowledge Planes if needed)
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
(Knowledge Arcane if needed)
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

She mentions to Pakak, "I believe they where refering to the practice of binding imps as familiars. It's a common practice for spell casters, however due to their long lifespans the tiny fiends will often outlive their masters and become stranded on the material plane....from what I recall of Psuedodragon's they're not too fond of them." (Retcon this if necessary, figured Infernal Binder and above average rolls would impart such knowledge)

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

(Speaking in common hopefully the Psuedodragons don't understand the language)

Silyph looks intrigued at Pakaks remark. "Crazy.....and...mean? ....interesting. Is it illegal? At best our patron of this job is dodging taxes and customs at worst he's dealing in an illicit substance. I'm still curious as to what business this is to the dragonkin." she turns to the others in the group noting Eudomia, Hathin, & Maels silence. Before Pakak delves further she tries to stop him with a quick hand upon his shoulder. "Anybody mind divining for magical auras, I didn't prepare the such magics this morning. If we are to delve further I fear setting off a silent alarm ward tipping off our employer to our snooping. If house Lerouge goons come calling I'd hate to be trapped in a pit or caught by surprise."

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph joins in Livianus's laughter. She quips back in Draconic.....

Draconic:

"....Cousin or distant relative, you are kin to dragon and thus share the bloodline of Apsu or Tiamat, however far removed. To that your grace in holding words and peace rather than violence speaks volumes towards your nobility."

Silyph turns towards her comrades "Does anyone have a means to detect magic auras? I find it foolish for one to keep such a hidden cache without any magical wardings or alarms. If we are to snoop we should do it right."

She'll follow the group if they decide to delve into the trap door, she will however bring up the rear.

@ Shane OOC:
Do we need Knowledge checks to know that it's some kind of drug or illict substance? A hidden cache with a trap door with a dried spiced cacti sort of implies rather blatantly illicit substance, is it acceptable to assume character knowledge that it is a drug without knowing what type, it's effects, nor market value? Or at least make the causal inference with no certainty or knowledge of specifics?

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

She pauses at Pakaks words "I meant the dragonkin, though we were assigned this task by Master Arnolt Leroung." she covers her mouth waives her hand at an unintended slip of the tongue.

She follows up "If we can accomplish this task without sticking our noses where they don't belong and not trespass further into his own private business, I'd prefer that, as last I checked none of us are Korvosan customs agents. However, if we are to delve further I'd prefer we have some prior indication of what may be down there, lest it hold unknown dangers and our ignorance work towards our disadvantage."

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph bows deeply still on one knee...

In Draconic:

"Nobel dragonkin may you permit me to cast a spell to bring light to the area, my elven eyes are not sharp as yours nor enough to cut through this darkness, so I may gaze upon your grace better?" She'll cast Light if permitted

She continues, "I feel it would be rude to not make introduction, I am Silyph, and this is...." (She points out each of her companions and mentions them by name.)

"As to what we're doing here, that question can be answered in turn by reversal. We're here to humbly ask what has enticed your clutch to take residence here as well as bring you a tasty snack."

She glances at the large one, "You seem to be the leader of this clutch, may I ask you your name?"

(Diplomacy to raise from indifferent to friendly, with flattery and conversation.) [DC=15+CHA mod]

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

After the conversation her curiosity will follow and she'll go investigate the crate/trap door. She'll pause before proceeding down the trap door.

She mentions to Pakak "We should ask where this leads before we go tarry down the rabbit hole."

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Seeing that her comrades where wise enough to bring treats Silyph drops to one knee and speaks in draconic loud enough for her voice to carry...

In Draconic:

"Nobel Dragonkin, I speak to you in your tounge out of humble respect, we have brought gift of tasty food as a token of our good will, we wish to share words and bask in your elegant glory if you hear my voice I implore you to show yourselves so you may receive our gifts and our eyes can gaze upon your splendor."

Diplomacy; (+2 if Cezars roll can count as an aid, GM fiat modifiers if the food counts for anything)
1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 2 = 25 (-2 if Cezars roll doesn't count as an aid)

If no psuedodragons show up Silyph will bring herself up from one knee and take a couple of minuets to adjust to her surroundings and take careful observation.

Taking a 20 on perception [2mins], 20 + 1 = 21

If nothing further occurs she'll cast light on the sheath of her dagger to brighten the rooms lighting condition and follow Hathin into the receiving office. She'll spend some time sorting through things with him.

Perception (Aid)
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 (Successes tack on a +2 to Hathin's roll)

Female Elf Wizard Conjurer 1 (Infernal Binder)

Silyph waves to Hathin as he leaves "It was lovely seeing you again Hathin." she bows to those left and says "Well then, I'll be off I've got things to do before relaxing for the evening, it was a pleasure."

Silyph travels to her dorm room finally taking her hand off the hilt of her dagger as she enters her room. Wiping the sweat off her brow she glances in the mirror before unclasping her tough leather kilt under her robes and tossing it on her bed before she heads for the warm showers to melt the days festivities from her mind.

She'll feed her little birdie some kiwi and night-crawlers before lying in bed thinking how radically her life's changed in just a few months before drifting off to sleep.

As Hathin, I'm cool with hitting that FF button, make the jump to light speed captain!
