I apologize in advance if these questions have been answered already. It's a long thread and I may have missed them.

1) Do Blasts provoke attacks of opportunity if used in threat range? I feel like they probably would, but figured I'd check.

2) Does Air's Reach apply to ONLY Air Blast (or composite blasts using it) or to Electric Blast as well?

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks again for your help. My only other question lies with the fact that a Raven has Skill Focus(Perception). I'm assuming this works like normal and simply wasn't taken into account with the listed skill bonus or am I missing something else?

Thanks so much. That helps a lot. And yeah, I never really planned on using him in combat, but I never know what our GM is gonna throw us into, so I just wanted to make sure. Also I'm not really sure if it's a racial bonus or not. Under statistics it just says "Skills: Fly +6, Perception +6." If it helps, this is the page I'm using:

Also, where would I find out what ranks it would normally have?

So, I've never played a class that uses a familiar (or any sort of animal companion thingy) so I have just a couple of questions regarding them. I'm playing a witch and I've chosen a raven as my familiar.

The first question I have is regarding Melee Bite attack. It reads as:

"Bite +4 (1d3-4)"

I think I know what the 1d3-4 means, but I have no idea about the +4 and it would probably be better if someone just explained the whole thing. The other question I have is regarding his skills. He gets a +6 to both Fly and Perception. What exactly is this plus 6? Is that the actual skill check modifier, or is it the ranks or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this campaign starts Friday and I want to know my character as best as I can.
