Smite impudence 1/1 (as smite evil, but has to be different whom whatever patron is invoked on both alignment axis)
invocation:
At the start of each day, an insinuator can meditate for 10 minutes to contact and barter with an outsider to empower him for a day. An insinuator can freely invoke an outsider of his own alignment. He can instead invoke an outsider within one step of his own alignment by succeeding at a Diplomacy or Knowledge (religion) skill check (DC = 15 + the insinuator’s antipaladin level). While invoking the power of an outsider, the insinuator radiates an alignment aura that matches that of the outsider’s, and becomes vulnerable to alignment-based effects that target that outsider’s alignment (such as smite evil or chaos hammer). None of an insinuator’s supernatural or spell-like class abilities function unless he has invoked the power of an outsider, and the alignment of the being invoked may affect how some abilities function. This ability replaces aura of evil. DC is 17, I can theoretically smite evil if I were to invoke f.e. Gozreh or Nephtys, I can only invoke outsiders one alignment step removed from me. Sigvörn is a Ladies man, and has so far in his life invoked Szuriel, Eiseth, Nocticula, Pharasma (there was a big Ghoul issue) and Gozreh. He generally seeks to do research on his likely opposition, and then pragmatically invokes outsiders he assumes to be hostile to what his likely opposition is. villainous rescue:
S#*~, a f!&$ing Herald archon! The mercenary ran, this raid just turned into a complete s#%*show. Undefended Island Monastery my arse, why do they have a Herald Archon! He heard the clarion call of the Archons trumpet, with all his strength, he was just able to keep moving, unlike some of his crewmates Probably some rapid reaction force, s$@$ty teleporters
Need to get to the ship! nearly there, the Iraeni thought as he nearly reached the ship Not to the ship, come hither, into this cave mercenary, or you will perish He heard a voice in his mind, feminine and quite pleseant. Also dangerous, not quite as seductive as a Succubus information broker he talked with once, but close.
Understood, what will your assistance cost me My lady he sought to reply telepathically You arent exactly in a position to.... He heard a reply as a mighty archon, armed with a massive warhammer, teleported in front of him and said
Alas, bloodraging charging Antipaladins arent easily stopped, as Sigvörns Falcata struck out, catching the mighty Archon straight in the chest. Elated, Sigvörn struck again, only for his second blow to bounce of the archons celestial plate. Vile scum! YOU DARE! The archons resounding backhand blow impacted his torso squarely, sending him flying into a nearby building, crushing much of the building as he smashed into it. After playing dead for exactly 2 seconds, Sigvörn alas realized that the archon still approached I can see that they wickedness has not yet left this world. But soon it shall the archon spoke with righteous fury in his glowing eyes Sigvörn jumped up with surprising dexterity A final charge then? Come villain! The Archon announced. Run, not to the ship, but off the cliff. When you fall, I will be there to catch you.
Invokeing the sprint of the cheetah, Sigvörn charged, not at the archon but through another wall, taking up even more speed as he did so. Some blazing lights appeared around him, blinding him, but in his fury, Sigvörn kept running Guidance, if thee would my Lady, I am blinded Through his bloodrage he sought to communicate with his "friendly voice" Keep running straight, dip to the left now, now keep running BEHOLD, THE WICKED FLEE BEFORE THE RIGHTEOUS
a test of smarts:
My thanks, fair Lady, for this timely rescue. Sigvörn spoke as what held him, tightly but not uncomfortably so, released him, he bowed, although carefully, as the archons magiks still had him blinded by the burst of light he was exposed to earlier. What possible recruit have you brought here, Lady Thiadora?
This Mercenary has succesfully struck archon named Maul, was able to resist the call of archon named Clarion, and responds well to instructions the female voice spoke. So the fair Ladies name is Thiadora, the Archon with the hammer is called Maul and the one with the trumpet is called Clarion? Mithran creativity, or lack thereoff, strikes again
Indeed, one of their many grating traits the female voice spoke in his mind Oh, my surface thoughts are being read. It must be Tuesday.
So this mercenary the deep resounding Bariton spoke again, cutting the chuckle short. Is good at violence, and amuses you. Good and Good, but has he the intellectual skills for our great undertaking? I shall test him as well then. He could see clearly now, to his right was a beautifull woman with piercing green eyes, platinum blonde hair and a complex white dress strongly implying high social status, as well as considerable magical aptitude, for the dress was not wet in the slightest, inspite of the fact that this woman just plucked him out from under the water. Her Hair was not wet either, and as a matter of fact ellaborately coiffeured. The baritone voice came from a regal looking man, bald, and intense gaze, and brandishing an inverted pentagramm. Tell me warrior: For whom do I speak? the authoritative man spoke Inverted Pentagramm, Asmodeus or Baphomet Sigvörn was no stranger to the various ruinous powers, as the Mithrans called them, fools they were, but he was in a quandary there. Asmodeus, prince of all the hells and overlord of the infernals and Baphomet, demonlord of treason, Minotaurs and mazes were arch enemies, and if he mistook one for the other his life would be forfeit. That is the quandary indeed the feminine voice spoke in his mind
Hmm, I see red, black, and no shortage of gold, so the favored colors arent of much help here the mercenary thought in the surface, while trying to keep his actual reasoning hidden I dont see any glaives, and if that leader had one, I would see one, I cant make out of he has a mace that would imply Asmodean featly
The Lady is a telepath, this is clear, she is flirtatious and alluring, but that doesnt it narrow it down much. Societal emphasis on titles is more linked to Asmodeans then to Baphomet, and she could teleport me without putting me in a bag of holding, so more powerful then a Succubus. He thought on the surface, sensing an approving half smile at the "more powerful then a Succubus", but that could just as well mean a more powerful female demon... I never knowlingly worked for Baphomets interests, I did however work for those of Lady Eiseth, and that mission was succesfull, makes more sense for Asmodeans to scout me.
Why would someone as powerful as you, Lady Thiadora, even be at this monastery to intervene, a, perhaps to retrieve something else from there while it guards were distracted? the man thought openly, gaining a faint smile from the women And that monastery was a... place of "cleansing" for specifically artifacts of the old enemy, and Mithra hates Asmodeus far more then Baphomet he keeps thinking, to no reply from the women in white. The man in black looks deeply into him as well. I am ready to offer my obedience He says as he, on a whim, thinks of a rather, intense joke A m&*#+%*$%*&+, a purveyor of fraudulent real estate deals and someone who gets constantly cuckolded by Goblins walk into a bar. Says the barman, "Hail Baphomet" he thinks on the mental layer he assumes the woman in white is not reading
the austere man holding the pentagram... chuckles. Dryly. You pass, with flying colors. So you were reading my protected thoughts too Lord Cardinal
Naturally, they were unusually entertaining he hears an answer, telepathically, in the mans voice. mechanical backup:
