Where does it say what items Darago starts with in his deck?

I am trying to think of a way to have the characters in my game experience an old fashioned western Train Car chase fight scene. I was thinking about maybe making it instead of a train like some form of magic caravan or maybe some river barges. Basically I want the players to have to fight and jump from car to car and maybe stop a run away section of it to save some people. I am using this as a story intro and as a good way for the players (passengers) to work together for the 1st time. Any ideas would be helpful, thank you.

Ya it was a time thing and hard for me to record with loud children, maybe I will get a chance to do a real voice read.

I made a basic pathfinder intro movie for some new and old players I am going to run a game for. I pretty much just used the inner sea world primers intro and voice to text. After the intro I plan on making a short movie of the area the adventure will be in or the intro to the adventure path I will be running. I hope some other Game Masters can get some use out of this as well, Enjoy.

So we are finishing a epic almost 4 year campaign of Carrion Crown. My group of player have been playing together since Jr High, but we have never played more than 4 games with the same characters. This game has lasted 21 games and has been so awesome and extraordinary that I want to get something for all the players to commemorate the game ( I doubt we will have another game last that long again). I would like some ideas. I have though of shirts with their character name on it, or a poster or something. Any help in coming up with an idea would be very welcomed. Thanks in advanced.

My 3 year campaign is about to end, we are on the final encounter and I was thinking of not really extending the game but to give the players something to think about. I am proposing that professor Lorimor was in fact an evil master mind behind everything. His face was smashed so you could not communicate with him but what if that was not him?. In the game I gave every PC a item that leveled with power as they did . Our paladin carries a shield and I hinted that it has one of the shards of the seals in it. SO I am thinking of playing it out that the professor needed a way to get all the minor seals together to release a spell that would show the way to the 3 major seals. So after they defeat the last encounter they realize they unwilling made it possible for the 3 greater seals to be found. I am doing this just to mess with them but to possibly in the future tie in other adventure paths to this original with all new heroes taking up to prevent the whispering tyrant from arising. In my game we did a lot of character story and court interaction especially in adventure 5 so i think this will really bring the game to a epic end.

Thanks I had her fix the video she is new to this ( Well so am I). The video is there now if anybody wants to brave a look.

I recently ran an adventure for my daughter and her cousins for my daughters birthday. While it was a tad bit hectic I must say I had fun running the game and I know all the kids had fun as well. It is amazing that even with all of today's electronic toys kids are still into Pencil and Paper games. Here is a link to the video I made of the game. Caution to any rule lawyers who want to watch this, many many errors where made.

You are doing the right thing. Use gibberish use a place you know use what ever. The biggest secret I tell anyone whom DM's is be confident and don't second guess yourself. Most players wont notice any mistakes or care and most players are just happy to be playing that if you as a DM make up some name like the realm of Gigilybop they will be more than happy to go to that realm and adventure.
1. Be confident!!!!
2. Just go without and don't 2nd guess yourself.
3. Write it down. Consistency is important.

Well knowing north is a good way to keep going in the right direction but knowing north is not the same as land navigation. I think the DC check for survival for not getting lost is 15 so even if they have a 1 in the skill they still need to make a skill check.
Word of advice: In my games I try to make travel off the beaten path without a guide as harsh and dangerous as possible without throwing in tons of combat encounters. Such as exposure, disease, mishaps(broken gear or ankle), slow slow pace, starvation and of course random combat encounters. Basically you can use the wilderness as one big encounter and city adventures should be afraid of it. But in general do what you have to do as a DM to keep a good solid pace and keep the game game fun. If you don't want them lost then they are not. If getting them lost as a bit of spice then they are lost.

WOW the glow in the dark Idea sounds great. Yes we play with the sound low so you forget it is there.

Finally got a good one complete. We are currently playing the Carrion Crown adventure path and are on the 5th adventure Ashes at Dawn. This is a link to a sample of my Atmosphere DVD that plays on a 50 inch flat screen behind the DM. It is for Caliphas at Night. Other ones I have done include Forest, Tavern and Dungeon. What do you all think? Anyone else do anything like this for their game? Or any other suggestions would be nice of other ways to add atmosphere.

No clue how to put in a direct link but there is the address above.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions.

I am about to run Ashes at dawn and usally I make a backgrund scenery DVD that shows scenery of locations in the game with music. example: tavern, Forest at night...etc. This time I wanted to make a scenery DVD that loops a Video of a fog shrouded street. Anyone know a good movie with good scenes of fog shrouded street that would fit caliphas? Thanks.

I am currently running the Carrion Crown Adventure Path, and since any AP is gonna take some time to finish (18 months a d counting) I have started using some cool tools to keep it going and add flavor to it.
1. I made a player packet for all my players that has any information they might require. Such as info on home region, god or anything else their character should know. Plus I added a map and a calander.
2. I write and send out a pregame email that starts off with any information i need to plass on, and then follows into a summary of are last game with a list of all NPCs, locations and items of note.( it is up to 10 pages as of our 11th game) The players love this cause it keeps the game fresh in thier memories.
3. I make a background music and scenery DVD. We play in a garage with a nice 60 inch tv in it. Each adventure i make a new dvd with music set to sevearl slide shows showing picturs of scenery. IE forest night, forest day, tavern. This works out awesome for us. Bunch of free software out there to make the dvd.
Hope this ideas help in any way.

Does Paizo make a character creation software for Pathfinder? Or are they going to in the near future? I don't want to have to get a 3rd party one cause I have liked every Paizo product I have purchased thus far.

Are alchemist bombs considered magical or just elemental and is the infusing of bombs considers a spell like ability?

When you craft a poison and coat your blade is it just for on use or does it last longer then one hit or possibly for a duration of time.

Besides adventures what is the best place to get info on the pathfinder world itself.

my friends and I all recently picked up the pathfinder core rule books. One of my friends has been buying all the adventures and plans on starting one soon. Where would be a good place to learn about the pathfinder world itself. Besides the wonderful player hands out, where would I find info on the world itself to help me get into character? Thank you.
