Please change the range on Cleric spells, if you don't want to turn it into a "watch heal bars" experience do this:

Give clerics range but put their heals on a a decently lengthy time, say 10 seconds, so they cannot spam heals. I don't really care what you do, but you all trying to tell us that making heals only be touch based is because that's how the tabletop functions is kind of silly. What about the other things from tabletop you've changed in PFO? Why be so adamant about translating healing from the tabletop to healing in an MMO?

TL;DR
This isn't working; no really, it isn't.

(Let me clarify: Yes, it is FUNCTIONING. But is it functional or fun? No, in my opinion it is not. I seriously have to constantly mash keys over and over whilst chasing allies this way and that.)

Not being able to heal flagged players needs to be addressed. As well as healing abilities only useable in melee range. It really isn't fun for clerics to chase down running allies to heal them.

Tell them not to run so much. If they know you're supporting them then they need to change their tactics accordingly and pay attention to us too. It is challenging though, especially trying to support multiple party members at once.

In the long run I don't see spam healing as a viable playstyle option. Charge gems are craftable now, and when they become required for focus ammunition then orison healing will be expensive. This is in line with tabletop wand charge limits; nobody spam heals orisons in combat. Actual spells and power consumption should be the main feature of the cleric, and best when the fight is going south or during important PvP battles. Fighting today is like gathering yesterday. When the 'encumbrance' of combat is turned on then attacks, cantrips and orisons will seem much more like tactical decisions of resource management. Some people might not like it, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it might feel.

What does that have to do with heals having range?

:(

Been very quiet around here lately.

When you obtain a expendable from a monster (I guess the recipe for the expendable?) and your character learns it - will that character always know that spell?

Even if their implement decays or gets looted?

1) No, much like EVE a few months of work and you will be able to compete with people playing years.

Okay, but will players that don't do a lot of research KNOW this? How does Goblinworks plan on successfully conveying this message? There is a big stigma with players getting a head start in MMOs (especially a year head start).

2) They have specifically said the only thing permanent is your experience gain. Everything else is up for debate if anything goes wrong. I think you can expect some major changes in EE. As far as Reverting to older builds, I have no idea, so far they have been able to fix most major bugs within 2 builds (2-4 weeks).

Thanks, I didn't know that and it makes a lot of sense.

Hola, is recruitment still open with you guys?

Questions keep forming in my head about Early Enrollment:

#1 Will making Early Enrollment permanent scare away new players when the game is actually released to the public?

It seems kind of unfair to the new players to have to come into a competitive game with players already leveled and settled in? One of my favorite things about MMOs is the beginning competition to the top. I don't think I'm the only gamer with that opinion. I'd like to hear how Goblinworks sees this unfolding?

#2 So, Early Enrollment will be permanent, but what about the bugs that will eventually turn up?

For example, the current bugs with the nodes. How will Goblinworks deal with game breaking bugs in Early Enrollment? Revert, or?

Thanks for your time, I'm really rooting for Pathfinder Online!

This is how I picture Elysian.

Still intrigued by this.

Okay, when can I get suited up Saiph? This is getting me pumped.

Oh... And congrats!

Do you have an idea of what area of the map you think Elysian will settle?

PM sent.

Intrigued.
