So I'm new to the forums so if I screw up a format I'm sorry in advance, basically new to pathfinder actually mostly played 2nd and 3/3.5 for over 10 years so not new to RPGs.
So I've been working on a targeting system for a campaign I'm going to start in about a month or two. You'll be able to target basically Head/Torso/Legs (High/Mid/Low).
With this I've also created an armor system, basically where you can piece together your armor (Helm,Chest, pauldrons, Gloves, greaves, shield, ect) basically Armor pieces each have their own AC and count for the areas.
AC Modifiers
High- Helm, Pauldrons, Gloves, Shield
Mid- Chest, pauldrons, Mantle, Gloves, Shield
Low- Greaves/Boots, Mantle, Shield
Basically it's set like this because of what you can use to defend yourself.
Now, The Base score is modified as well because you're either aiming a smaller target or a more agile target at times.
Base AC
High- No/Light/Medium armor=17, Heavy Armor=15
Mid- All=10
Low- None/Light=20, Medium=15, Heavy=10
Dex Mod Effects all 3 targets
So lets say X npc has dex of 12(mod 1) wearing a set of Medium armor Chest(@4ac), Helm(@2ac),Shield (@3ac)
his AC's would be....
HighAC=23(17+1+2+3), MidAC=18(10+1+4+3), LowAC=19(15+1+3)
Basically I'm looking at if you hit high you'll do 2x damage, Mid is just normal damage rules, and every 10% total HP you deal low takes X amount out of their speed. Haven't hammered out every detail. Just wondering if this is easy to follow along or if anyone has any questions about it that I might not have thought of so far.
