BACKGROUND

Driven by a hatred of gnolls ever since that fateful day when Shaylar came home to visit his parents during a break from his studies at the Acadamae Magicae. Instead of his parents, he was met by his uncle, dire news heavy on his heart. When his uncle told him his brother, Shaylar's father, had been killed together with his mother on their trip back home from visiting relatives in the Marth Forest. His world seemed to end, life no longer making sense nor being worth living. After weeks of grieving for his loss, he asked his uncle for help. Abandoning his studies, he turned to his uncle to teach him the ways of the mountains and the wilderness. Show him how to kill the monsters that took away those he loved most in his life. Ranging far and wide through the mountains with his uncle, he learned how to think like gnolls do. Hunting the foul beasts, setting traps, luring them into ambushes, his quest for vengeance burning like a fire inside him, driving him onward, restless until the last of the gnolls lies dead at his feet.
