Hey guys, I just PMed Tempest to see if how things are. I'm in the Legacy of Fire game Tempest is running and things have gone silent over there as well.

Here's hoping Tempest is ok.

Charity is the name of some young, uppity girl that thought she could swindle me out of some gold.

So I'm sitting at my desk and it occurs to me that Seyllana probably could have learned about the research group from Gen,Angelos or Kael. Gotten envious of a group of casters getting together to "plot" and wiggled her way into the group. Only to realize they're sitting around reading books.

I picture her sitting in the corner with her arms crossed while the group sifts through tomes. Sey jingling her fetish necklace and saying things like "”Only a git wastes time learn'n magic from bewks. a true practitioner seeks de unknown.”

Also, my ideas for a name:

The Arch Council
The Convocation of Vices
The 7 and 1 (This one I could see being, like, endgame title. 7 sins, 7 members, 1 goal.)

Seyllana

I'm fine with Kael knowing Seyllana, I'll let you decide if it's just her youthful beauty version or if he has come across her in her crone visage. I'm fine with what you suggested. Alternatively, he's definitely worked in the shadier side of things, so they could have easily met up during something nefarious (either as competitors for the same thing or working together or forced to work together due to circumstances). I'm not sure that a situation where she botched trying to kill him like her short story went would be the best of ideas, although I suppose if he stopped her but didn't attack her then they could have become acquaintances.

I imagine she would have come to him as her younger self. She knows her true appearance is not something children like. Perhaps as Kael grew up and got into the business the two formed a working relationship.

Kael -- it's possible that Seyllana spent a night or two in The Tipsy Medusa. Or at least in a nearby alley. Perhaps she recognized the drow features in a young boy and offered him a trinket or treat occasionally. Not to be nice. But in hopes that one day she could have a (half)drow in her corner.

Genevieva -- I could see Seyllana thinking of Gen as a bit of a rival. Sey has been around for a long time using her youthful appearance for personal gain when an actual young, beautiful woman starts coming around. Sey would immediately think Gen is doing the same thing and try to compete as best she can.

Angelos -- If Sey was keeping an eye on Gen it only makes sense that she would have met Angelos at some point. Maybe even felt a weird bond over their choice in jewelry. The bone ring matching her bone necklace…..

Gara -- Rumors of a Tengu with exotic clothing would draw Sey’s attention.

Ignavius -- Just like every other wizard that comes to Magnimar. Thinks they can just blow into town and find an apprentice. Why can't Seyllana ever be an apprentice. And that apprentice! No one ever said “Hey, Seyllana, how about I teach you some spells.”

I honestly think the issue stems from most schools (USA) anyhow are out for the summer. The site cannot handle the extra traffic.

Anyone that found themselves spending time in Magnimar's Shadow district could have had a run-in with Seyllana. Even if they didn't know it.

Would it be possible for her to have some sort of a reputation I'm the district? Even something as innocuous as people in taverns saying "be wary of a red haired beauty?"

I feel pretty special to be the only Green coded entry in the spreadsheet.

I'm sad to say that I haven't had a chance to look over any other submission. I feel bad for that too. I'll get to that after work, I promise.

I have some flavor up now as well.

I'll have the flavor done soon too but for now I just wanted to throw out the basics o the character:

Seyllana is a 272 year old elf. So in the Old range. She's been a practicing witch in and around Magnimar for most of her life and has yet to gain more than the most basic of power (level 1.) She's seen other, less talented, individuals excel at the arcane while she's been stagnate.

Other elves her age still retain their beauty but, the hard life in the Shadow district of Magnimar has not been kind on Seyllana and her body and face show her age.
