Hi All - I'm the GM for this event. Edge of Darkness is a classic Call of Cthulhu scenario and still one of the very best. If you've never played Call of Cthulhu before - first, shame on you and second, you couldn't pick a better scenario to start with! This scenario plays particularly well with first time Cthulhu players.

A great diversion from Pathfinder. Call of Cthulhu is generally more story focused, often centering around a mystery. Clues leading to answers and answer often leading to madness. It's good role-playing fun.

If you have questions, feel free to post them here.

First time at this con. Hoping to get some advice about organized play. I've been to a few other cons and have the general context, but haven't played PFS / organized play events. I plan on going with my 14 y.o. son.

I have some specific questions and welcome any general advice - thanks all!

- Character prep. Do we just make a couple of 1st level characters and bring them along? If so, if we keep using them, what's the best way to deal with leveling up (on paper, bring a laptop with one of the helper excel sheets, pre-prep level progression)?

- Do we just show up at morning/evening slots and ask for a couple of slots at a table (sounds like most games of this type are not pre-sign-up)? I would think character classes/levels make the options pretty restrictive - do we need multiple character options to find a table that works?

If there is a starter guide, feel free to point me there - I couldn't find one.

Thanks!
