OK before I start I am just going to say I am a horrible story writer. so any tips or ideas on how to improve on these main points would greatly speed up this process.
Warning these are the basic ideas that will change in a heart beat so bear with me...

1. farther saves her from her mother (hag)

2. her farther teaches her in the way of spirit magic (like a cleric/shaman) when she show talent for it.

3. mother finds her and her farther battle begins.
3a. farther dies but not before he "makes" sure his daughter get away.
3b. as she runs deeper into the Forrest a pool of black ooze engulfs her...

4. she wakes in a unknown Forrest with only her father weapon and finds herself now cursed...
4a. black blood would be the secondary cruse which fuels the haunted cruse.
