Cohort of Selene

Samantha makes haste through the fog cloud to the door, keeping a close eye on the princess as best she can.

"This way, we'll want to make haste."

Just for now:

Move to S18.

Still have a standard to use - depends what there is to see in the hall.

Hey GM, can Ishana attempt to substitute Str checks with some Dexterity ones? I'd take ranks in Sleight of Hand, Acrobatics etc but a Warpriest really gets boned by ranks + class skills, so as a result, we have a situation such as bypassing the table obstacle, and Ishana really having limited options?

I don't mind how you rule it (I'm just asking), but either way its going to affect where she ends up on the map with her move (which I have not yet done).

Just roll acrobatics untrained, and be amazing on natural talent.

Selene is not with the cohorts, which is where the bardic Inspire Courage is happening. While I understand that you're concerned about me thinking spells might affect her through her scrying, that isn't what I'm on about; you write her as being calm of voice as she relays what she sees behind the demons; I'm requiring you to make a roll in order to actually be calm in light of what I know she's going to have witnessed.

Yes, I got that. I'm fine with you rolling her will save and interpreting it and I'm not worried one way or the other about success/fail there. I was including the other stuff because it wasn't clear to me why you were asking for the will save and I didn't want to have to retcon it later because I left out details on my end about effects. I couldn't find the indicator for where the bardic courage song and dance was on the map from the ipad, so just mentioned it.

Updated actions, no prot evil on the princess, sliding under tables is more samanthas style than vaulting them.

@GM I left a vague -relays what Selene sees clause and perception/knowledge checks preemptively since it's pbf and I don't want to slow down your next round, but if you need exact wording of what she says I can retcon it after your post. Send senses lets her see or hear, she chose sight this time.

Actions amended:

Round zero, full round to retrieve bow.
Round 1 move to p12 cast obscuring mist and talk to the princess, slide under the table.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

5/6 l1 oracle spells remain.

I think adding custom spell interactions is possible, but will make the game harder to run, so I'd vote just run it RAW as much as possible because I like the game and don't want you to burn out adjudicating it. I say this as someone with maybe the most to gain from custom interactions since I have a pile of not yet fleshed out arcane elementalists.

Anyways, pure opinion time: I think GoW would make it -harder- to save vs Glitterdust, not easier, in the case of 'we'll do custom interactions anyways'. Source: decades of beach and glitter experience. Wind is not a good way to flush your eyes. It dries them out and makes grit worse. You want to have cool water on hand in clean cups with proper salination. So If I were trying to build custom interaction rules for those two spells, I'd go with GoW making glitterdust's dc harder by 2 for that round.

Grease being flammable is a time honored elfgame holy war and I have no opinion on the matter.

As the noises of combat seep into the room, Samantha looks briefly to the doors, then remembers her oath. Moving quickly she heads directly for the princess's table, her clothes suddenly dripping with moisture. As she reaches the girl she waves the water forward, enveloping them in a cool mist. She speaks quietly but urgently.

"Highness, go. We will draw their attention, but you and your father must survive if Krádira is to live. Go quickly, quietly, with my blessing. We will meet again."

Passing the girl back behind her to the safety of her companions, she briefly moves her hands. A refreshing breeze shifts in the young lady's hair, offering protection from evil spirits.

@Darivan. We can know each other, works for me.

@GM sorry for unspoiled rolls, the spoiler tag got deleted during my cleanup pass.

At Lyda's comment she looks thoughtful, then begins ticking off names as she goes.

"That's true. Light and Wind is more my specialty than Almaya's, Selene. I'll see if Nicholas can ride with the wagons themselves to clear them. I'll volunteer for an outrider, that leaves Selene and the other high arcanists free to provide a heavy response if needed? Most of our magic users have a fair control over the wind, although snow is heavy. Our one water expert likes to joke that it's easier to make things with iron than snow. As I'm sure our druid friends will attest, magic is probably best saved for blockages. For long distances and small drifts, shovels will be best."
