“It is truly a pleasure to be back.” Venture Captain Drandle Dreng takes a seat at the head of the table and leafs through the papers set before him. “Some of you might have worked with me before my... furlough. And I look forward to reminiscing, but first it seems we need to spend the next few hours tidying up the paperwork you've accumulated over the course of your adventures.”

He wets his cracked lips. “First, we have this extradition order from Cheliax for... Oh my. Well, I’m sure the Society can—“

A blue-grey shape crashes through the window and lands on the oak table with a metallic schwak! The tangle of wings and claws eventually stands, a gleaming silver raven, and opens its mouth.

“G—gods help me, Dreng, I’m dying,” a distant male voice sputters from the bird. “Men in black—came for... Numeria exhibits. It’s Nigel... I've been shot! You owe me, you old bastard!”

Dreng’s lips crack and pop as they tighten. “Well... Sounds like you lot need to head to the Wise District. That sounds like Nigel Aldain, so go to the Blakros Museum. If he lives through the night, I might be able to make something of this—” he waves a hand over the mound of parchment, “disappear.”

Feel free to introduce your Pathfinder and take care of any last minute shopping we will start promptly on Nov 1st.

I've had the pleasure of running three tables of players through most of book 1 of WoTR. Unfortunately I'm shipping our soon for BCT and would hate to just abandon 11 months of game play.

Please let me know if your willing or able to take over a table or all three.

A quieted day in the Grand Lodge is rare indeed. So when you and your fellow pathfinders were asked to assemble for a 'training exercise' you were only slightly surprised to find a handwritten note in place of a formal briefing.

Player Handout 1
Idle Pathfinders are Pathfinders needing work. Having a bit of downtime is no excuse to sit around and let our skills lapse! So I have come up with a training exercise for you and a few others waiting around the Grand Lodge for a job. I trust you are familiar with the Red Redoubt? If not, for shame! It’s an important part of Absalom’s history. You might want to spend a few minutes researching it before heading out. While it is technically a “cleared” ruin, it’s a perfect location to test your skills.

Another team has spent the last few days practicing their own dungeoneering skills by establishing an obstacle course in the Redoubt’s upper levels. Now it’s up to you to go and see how well they've done. The course follows a specific path—if you come across a symbol of three
red dots inside a triangle, that means “do not enter.” Don’t go wandering—I do not want to send a third team to find you if you get lost. Otherwise, your response to the challenge is up to you. Bring your own gear, make your own plans, solve the puzzles, and bypass the traps.
You’ll know when you reach the finish line. I’d wish you good luck, but skilled Pathfinders don’t need luck.

I trust you’ll impress us,
Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin

Feel free to introduce your Pathfinder and take care of any last minute shopping we will start promptly on Nov 1st.

More than a millennium has passed since the "machine mage" Karamoss's failed siege of Absalom, and for years the Pathfinder Society has used upper reaches of his subterranean siege tower as a training ground for initiates. During a routine drill, the once-dormant dungeon springs to life, and it will take all the PCs' resourcefulness and skill to make it out alive.

I am quite relaxed as a GM, and pretty flexible. I use rules mainly as RAW.

I usually roll passive checks for PCs (perception and initiative) and use a modest amount of private text. I'll be using Google Docs for combats and expect players to move their PCs

I expect people to post daily, Monday - Friday, to keep things moving. I usually update in the evening MTN. If you haven't posted in the last 24 hours, and have not notified me of your absence, and we are in a combat situation, you will be put on Full Defense. If you have not posted for a week, and have not notified me of your absence, I may consider having you exit stage right. If you return before the end of the Scenario, I may consider allowing you back in, but I also may not give you full prestige, experience, or monetary reward. If you leave the game before the end of the Scenario, and do not return until after the scenario is completed, you most likely will not get a chronicle sheet.

The esteemed Blakros family—famous for their museum in Absalom—receives a large shipment of artifacts from Numeria but fears that the ever-vigilant Technic League will attack to reclaim its "stolen" property. When they request the help of Pathfinders to help guard the collection, the PCs discover that the Technic League is the least of their worries.

All right then! Looks like things will be getting underway soon. Please post in here and the game play thread to confirm you are still going to be playing. I'll be bugging people soon about their character sheets and chronicles.

If you could post a list of the scenarios your character has credit for, and any boons your character has that can prevent any confusion during the game.

Thank you and have a nice weekend!

Game will begin April 20th. Please dot this thread to confirm your spot in the final group.

The Waking Rune, a Pathfinder Society Scenario by Tim Hitchcock, was released in July 2013. This adventure serves as the culmination of the Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign's Year of the Risen Rune, and presents the second ever runelord returned to modern Golarion—Runelord of Sloth Krune.

“After a year of searching and risking life and limb, the agents of the Pathfinder Society have discovered the resting place of the Runelord of Sloth, who has been sequestered from the world at large for 10,000 years awaiting the proper time for his return. Thanks to the efforts of the sinister cult of Lissala, that time is now. In a desperate attempt to defeat this ancient evil once and for all, the Decemvirate sends its best agents, armed with relics found throughout ancient Thassilon, to foil the cult's last-ditch efforts to usher in a new era of tyranny and strife. Will the party succeed in preventing Krune's return to Golarion, or will the Pathfinder Society serve simply as a speed-bump in the runelord's path to domination over the entire region?"

The gameday starts on April 5

I like to post at least once a day, but I usualy reply 4-5 time a day if the players keep posting. I'd appreciate the same level of commitment from the players, and we should be able to complete the game with time to spare.

Here is your chance to RP during our 'off' time.
We begin on our night in the ruined temple of Torag...

Fireday, 2nd of Arodus, 4713, Age of Lost Omens

Welcome to the City of Kenabres! As the summer months begin to reach their end the now cooling weather gives welcomed relief to the warriors of the 4th Crusade. For the next several weeks, excitement is building, Armasse is coming! Traditionally an opportunity for scholars and priests to come together to study the lessons of history from wars past, since Aroden's death, this holy day has become more about training commoners in weaponry, choosing squires, and ordaining new priests. Over time, Armasse has grown to encompass jousting competitions, mock duels, battle reenactments, and other festival events. In Kenabres, the festival (which takes place on the 16th Arodus) is eagerly anticipated, for it provides distractions from the horrors of being on the front line of the war.

Smiles on faces normally marred by downcast eyes and furrowed brows do wonders for city morale in the weeks leading up to the event. Armasse is a citywide celebration, but the majority of the event, including its jousting matches and other entertainments, takes place at Clydwell Plaza, just west of the cathedral, and while the opening ceremonies are still weeks off, the streets are beginning to fill with travelers and celebrants who plan to enjoy the festivities. Decorations fill the streets as people begin to embrace the holiday cheer.

You have been fortunate enough to get a room at the Defender's Heart. The largest inn in Kenabres, this business caters mostly to mercenary companies and crusaders coming to the city. Inside this squat stone structure are dozens of rooms for rent, hearty food, and a wide selection of refreshments shipped in from across the Inner Sea. It's owner, Kimroth Otai was a mercenary fighting against the World wound until he lost his right arm in a clash with demons. Now he spends his time overseeing his staff and talking wistfully with other, more able bodied soldiers who spend time in his establishment when back from the front.

Ok heres the deal. I have 5+ years GMing experience but never run any PBP. I'm willing to try something new and crazy, so crazy it just might be amazing. I'm looking for a few good players to help me out on this. We'll hopefully be starting in early January, and go through at least the first part. Probably take a little break and start book 2. Ideally we'll go through the entire adventure.

I would like to have a group of six(6) characters to run through WotR. These people must be willing to post a minimum of once a day, preferably more. Experience with PBP is a plus. Like I said though I'm new myself and wont hold that against anyone. As a note on traits, the final group will be made of characters with one of each campaign traits.
Selecting your trait is selecting your Mythic Path

Character Creation
- Starting at first level.
- 20pt buy with no stats above 20 or below 8 after racial traits.
- 2 traits (one of which must be from the Player's Guide for WotR).
- Starting wealth is the average for you class.
- Max hit points for first level.
- No summoners (Sorry but I've had way too many bad experiences with this guy)
- I'm down with Archetypes but I'm going to limit each character to one even if they multiclass or don't otherwise overlap. It just gets way too complicated to keep track of everything and I'd rather work on a good story then juggle abilities.
- I'm willing to have a look at any of the core races and some other races if I like the concept. (Aasimars, Catfolk, Ifrit, Oread, Sylph, Tengu, Tiefling, Kitsune)

Legal Materials:
Core, Advanced Player's Guide, Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat, Advanced race Guide (Previously listed races only), Mythic Adventures, Adventure's Armory, Faith of Purity, Faiths of Balance, Blood of Angels, Blood of Fiends, Adventure's Armory, Inner Sea Primer, Knights of the Inner Sea, Demon Hunter's Handbook, Mythic Origins, Gods and Magic, Inner Sea Magic, Inner Sea World Guide, Paths of Prestige, Seekers of Secrets, Champions of Purity, Ultimate Equipment items are subject to approval on a case by case basis unless they appear in another approved source.

I like to keep things simple so rule sources have been limited.
Final group selection will take place near Christmas.

I look forward to gaming with you.

Grand Lodge

I'm working on an encounter for a level 16 party venturing deep into the land of Black Blood. I've been working with a player who has been running a paladin for several levels and he is looking for a way for his character to go out with a bang.

He is a heavy hitting THW with the oath of vengeance. Very optimized character. His weapon is Drow bane, ect I've had trouble legitimately killing him because we want it to be a surprise for the party. While I realize I could just fudge some rolls I would The party will be ambushed by a group of Drow lead by a Drow Nobel.

I need help building a Paladin slaying Drow.

Your task if you choose to accept it is to construct a 17th level Drow Nobel using a 20 point buy that will wipe the floor with the paladin and remind the party that even their strongest can fall.

He/She will be part of a group so if you would like to add some advice on other tings that would go well with your builds I would love to see what you have.

Thanks for your help.

Liberty's Edge

Vow of Chains: Either out of penitence or to bring
attention to the suffering of the enslaved, the monk wears
shackles on his wrists and legs. This gives the monk a –1
penalty on attack rolls and to AC, and reduces his movement
by 10 feet. If temporarily unable to wear his chains, he may
carry rocks or some other heavy burden (including medium
or heavy armor) to simulate this suffering. A monk with
this vow increasing his ki pool by 1 ki point for every 3
monk levels (minimum +1).

Slow and Steady: Dwarves have a base speed of 20 feet, but their speed is never modified by armor or encumbrance.

If a Dwarf monk took the vow of chains would he still have the reduction to his moment speed?
