Moonlight Bridge (Su): You summon a bridge of shimmering moonlight. The 10-foot-wide span touches the ground at a point adjacent to your position. From this point it can extend in any direction for 10 feet per oracle level. The path persists until you have crossed over the bridge or for 24 hours, whichever is shorter. You may summon a moonlight bridge a number of times per day equal to your Charisma bonus. Should the bridge be attacked, treat it as a wall of force.

'any direction' = including up?

...if so, does this mean a first level Oracle, assuming the GM was playing by RAW, could block a 10ft wide, 10ft tall corridor for 24 hours and/or really annoy anyone on a mount charging towards them? as a DM how does this work..my gys are try into use it as a wall of force blocking combat.. i seen someone say it only acts like a walk of force if attacked.. what if u dont attack it can u just walk thur it?

A bridge going up isn't a bridge... it's a wall.

And the power isn't called "moonlight wall."

Sorry if that sounds snarky... but it's important to keep in mind the flavor and intention of a power when you start looking for "creative" methods of using it in ways it wasn't intended to be used.

Moonlight Bridge is a power that lets you cross over things that are perilous or hard to move through. "Any direction" means that you can attach any two points within range. The use of words like "path" further enforces the fact that it has to be mostly horizontal that you can easily walk on.

We had a similar situation with this ability in one of our groups and it was decided that it had to be a bridge or something that you could possibly walk on but another question arose.

Could an oracle have more than one bridge out at a time? Either to create multiple paths to cross a location or to connect one bridge to another that may be too short?

We need some clarification on a Oracle revelation, Moonlight Bridge. The ability says:

Moonlihgt bridge (Su): You summon a bridge of shimmering moonlight. The 10-foot-wide span touches the ground at a point adjacent to your position. From this point it can extend in any direction for 10 feet per oracle level. The path persists until you have crossed over the bridge or for 24 hours, whichever is shorter. You may summon a moonlihgt bridge a number of times per day equal to your charisma bonus. Should the bridge be attacked, treat it as a wall of force.

Now the questions are:

1) Can the bridge be created to go up or down from your current position?

2) Can more than 1 bridge be active at a time?

3)Can the bridge be shaped, say in a zig zag to go around obstacles that may be in the way?
