I am currently finishing up my online Curse of the Crimson Throne and looking to the next game, which is to be in person. I am an experienced GM of multiple campaigns and live in the Miami-Dade area. Currently have two players, one experienced and the other new to Pathfinder (not rpgs). Need two more players in the area who can meet up weekend mornings.

Or if you want a "Mystic Theurge" feel, there is the Razmiran (False) Priest sorcerer. Even cooler with the Phoenix or Unicorn bloodline. It is an extremely powerful archetype/prestige class in the options it opens up for you.

Tl:Dr how do I bring in a new character to Scarwall and why would they join?

My current group is three players. Others have come and gone, but these the remain loyal, for now. Either way, we have found a possible fourth player. He will have ties to Korvosa and one of the other PC's.

The player is new but highly interested in joining and the party is level 13 going on 14. So what me and a friend decided, in order not to overwhelm him with a high level immediately, was to give him oneshots in Korvosa for his character at various levels with some of the other players joining in.
I've already done a level 1 game with him introducing him to the game and system. For level 5, I was planning to run a modified "Veteran's Vault" where him and another recently introduced character (found imprisoned in the Longacre dungeon) would work together, representing their past. At level 9, I planned to run him through "The Green Market" with the same partner.

Now the problem arises with the level 13th game, as it is supposed to be after his partner was captured by the Grey Maidens (but recently freed and joined the party) and show how he gets to Scarwall. I'm planning on the final encounter being a solo fight against the banshee. The reason is that he is a Blue dragon-blooded half-elf Sorcerer, and this was his ancestor who mated with Kazavon. He will find this out later with the party when he inspects her belongings, or at the end of his game.
Do any of the wonderfully creative people of this forum have any ideas or half-formed thoughts on how to accomplish this?

And as a side note, should the almost inevitable occur and one of the PC's dies, what are other ways to introduce characters to this haunted fortress in the middle of orc country who care if Korvosa stabilizes or not?

Question: The rules state that a creature swallowed first takes bite damage, and they take swallowed whole damage each round. So does it look like this?
First round: creature bites opponent, gets free grab attempt.
Second round: creature attempts to swallow whole, opponent takes bite AND swallow whole damage.
If so, that is a lot of damage!

Context: I have an encounter coming up where such a situation could arise. The PC's are level 11. The bite averages 41 damage and the swallow whole averages 36 damage. If the situation above is correct, a player can take 118 damage in one round! That is a dead player (or unconscious in the creature's belly, which is the same). Is this accurate?

Hey guys, I'm trying to look for magical items to place in a dragon's horde for the party within the 7000gp to 9000gp range. However, I've been having a difficult time thinking of an item for the pyrokineticist.
I saw the Amulet of Hidden Strength, but I'm not sure if it would work with kinetic blasts.
So would the Amulet allow the character to get an extra kinetic blasts?
And on a side note, is there any items I may have overlooked for the pyrokineticist?

So one of my players, out of three, will be unable to play for 6 weeks. This puts our Curse of the Crimson Throne game at a halt. However I would like to run a mini campaign run in the city of Korvosa to keep the rest of the players invested. "The House on Hook Street" seems perfect. However, I am unsure of how, long it would take and if I have to gut it in order to fit it into a 6 week play time of 3-4 hours weekly.

Tldr: How long does a deluxe adventure take to run until completion?

That was an AMAZING read. Thank you so much. It has truly inspired me as a DM on what rpg's can really do and become.

Invulnerable rager is my best bet, to represent their toughness.

So the party, which contains a paladin, is moving on to the next book of the adventure path. At the end of the book is a boss fight with two stages. After the boss falls for the first time, whether unconscious or dead, it is reborn in another form. Now on to my question.
Smite evil lasts until the target is dead. If the boss dies the first time in the encounter, would the smite evil still affect the second reincarnation of the boss or would the paladin have to smite it again?
