It looks like these links aren't working for people, so hopefully these ones will:

ERTW's Beguiler Conversion
ERTW's Beguilers of the Inner Sea
ERTW's Beguiler Conversion - Searchable Version
ERTW's Beguilers of the Inner Sea - Searchable Version

"ERTW's Beguilers of the Inner Sea" link stopped working. The searchable version is still accessible, though.

Would it be okay for others to reupload your files, if anything happens, so there would always more than one copy floating around?

Thanks you for your hard and creative work!

You're a lifesaver!

Hi there! I was just wondering if there is a specific reason that Beguilers have more spells known than wizards or sorcs begin with, as well as more/the same spells per day?

Initially I thought it would be due to a much more constrained spell list, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Even compared to the Arcanist, which was supposed to be the best of Sorc and Wizard combined, it outpaces them in both spells known and per day. I can't see a reason, mechanically or thematically, that they should have a more extensive repertoire of arcane magic than all 3 of these.

I think the idea is that Beguilers don't get most of the spells, that are considered "good". Thus, they get a lot of utility, divination, illussion and debuff spells, being arcane analogue to unchained Rogue, but with spells instead of skill tricks. No blasts, no SoDs, no summons, limited battlefield control, almost nothing, that could even make them a better melee DD (at least, base version). Assuming, players wouldn't try optimize the hell out of it, Beguiler seems to be fine-tuned to fill very speficic niche.

I haven't tried it though and not a game designer to be sure. It definitely seems to be beefed up all around.

_____
@ERTW, s it possible to restructure spells list into a table (like on pfsrd or spell lists in CRB) in next release or at least post the spell list here?

I wanted to take them out and make a table myself (because hunting for each spell individually would be a pain), but I can't even select them due to how the document is made and my OCR attempts were not very successful.

It was years ago, so I didn't keep the copy (or it got burned along with my old hard drive), but I like it way better, than the official Psi Unleashed one.

Endz hasn't reviewed this one yet, but you can see various elements that went into the book reviewed at the (awesome) Endzeitgeist's site.

Thanks, I'll look it up.

What Rednal said. I haven't had the time I wish I had to dig in, but a} the akashic stuff has been around for a while and is excellent and b} everything else I've found the time for has been very flavorful and fun to read.

The PDF is cheap for what it is. I can't recommend it enough.

It's not that cheap where I live, so while I like the cover and description, I'd want to have a taste of what's inside to figure out whether I absolutely need it.

I will, probably sometime this sumemr, get around to covering this, but it'll be rating-less, as I've contributed a race (the Rhyzalla) I'm super proud of to this tome.

With your permission I'll hold you to that. =)

BTW, what "campaign capstone" means?

Thanks. Figured as much.

A bit of disclaimer, but I want to clarify it with the public before going to the DM to see whether I might have missed something and gather some thoughts on the matter.

So, unlike familiar section for wizard's arcane bonds, psicrystal rules don't mention their attack bonus progression.

Now, to be honest, they don't have any natural attacks either.

But they can deliever touch attacks, starting at third level.

Their calculated combat stats are
Attack +0, CMB -9, CMD 3

Assuming Size, Dex and Str modifiers, Combat Maneuvers are easily calculable.

Attack bonus on the other hand doesn't make sense, because they should have at least +4 Size modifier. And then -5 for melee and +2 for ranged.

Assuming it's a mistake where do we go from there?

Do they get:
1) Nada. Zilch. No BAB progression
2) Contruct BAB progression (which is "fast" one, to be specific)
("A psicrystal is treated as a construct for the purposes of all effects that depend on its type."
"For the purpose of effects related to number of Hit Dice, use the master’s total level in psionic classes."
The only issue I have with this reading is that I'm not sure wether BAB progression qualifies as "effect", as there is no definition of the term "effect" in common terms)
3) Ask DM to house rule in the master's BAB progression and damn it all (which does mean hi-level blaster buddy for fast BAB psi classes, but I intend to play a psion).

A rhetorical question is that: what use for a Touch Power Deliever would you have, if it's got static +0 (or -1/+6) attack?
