"ERTW's Beguilers of the Inner Sea" link stopped working. The searchable version is still accessible, though. Would it be okay for others to reupload your files, if anything happens, so there would always more than one copy floating around? ![]()

I think the idea is that Beguilers don't get most of the spells, that are considered "good". Thus, they get a lot of utility, divination, illussion and debuff spells, being arcane analogue to unchained Rogue, but with spells instead of skill tricks. No blasts, no SoDs, no summons, limited battlefield control, almost nothing, that could even make them a better melee DD (at least, base version). Assuming, players wouldn't try optimize the hell out of it, Beguiler seems to be fine-tuned to fill very speficic niche. I haven't tried it though and not a game designer to be sure. It definitely seems to be beefed up all around. _____
I wanted to take them out and make a table myself (because hunting for each spell individually would be a pain), but I can't even select them due to how the document is made and my OCR attempts were not very successful. ![]()

![]() A bit of disclaimer, but I want to clarify it with the public before going to the DM to see whether I might have missed something and gather some thoughts on the matter. So, unlike familiar section for wizard's arcane bonds, psicrystal rules don't mention their attack bonus progression. Now, to be honest, they don't have any natural attacks either. But they can deliever touch attacks, starting at third level. Their calculated combat stats are
Assuming Size, Dex and Str modifiers, Combat Maneuvers are easily calculable. Attack bonus on the other hand doesn't make sense, because they should have at least +4 Size modifier. And then -5 for melee and +2 for ranged. Assuming it's a mistake where do we go from there? Do they get:
A rhetorical question is that: what use for a Touch Power Deliever would you have, if it's got static +0 (or -1/+6) attack? |
