I think Thorn would be telling the truth when he says that he has no intention of resurrecting the subject. It would the guys from the source who would have such intention, yes? For our part, our intention is to take the remains.
"So you mean one has to be strong... stronger than the metal that you mold and forge with such ease. If that is the case, know that I value strength."
"Oh, you can't actually be thinking of joining these berks! They promise you all the power in the universe, but they never say when you get it, do they?"
"Can you prove my friend wrong...that there is power in the Foundry? Show us around. Give us a tour of the place." Reghar demands of the guards.
FYI: No more wi-fi connection in the office; hence, my posting time has been reduced to when I'm in the house, please bear with me.
For the Keeper
Spoiler:
Reghar is purchasing a masterwork greataxe if he can work out a reasonable barter for his masterwork shield and spear. That's a 2 for 1 deal. A great deal in anyone's book.
"If we have to go to Enoch's home turf, then I suggest we use a ruse that will allow us to go near him without raising suspicions, like a hunter who dons a pig disguise to get near to the tiger. The tiger allows the the hunter to come near it thinking that he is its meal until it feels the hunter's spear piercing its heart."
When Reghar speaks of luring Enoch out, he turns to the half-orc, a little surprised at the lateral thinking. “I’d prefer it for certain, but as Swire says, what is to lure him out? He’s fled, gone, left it all behind. Besides, we may not be hunting him on his own turf, exactly. I don’t know how well he knows the Gatetown – possibly better’n any of us, possibly not. But the rest of the Abyss is likely to be about as friendly to him as it’ll be to us; with old Octopus Arms dead and gone, Enoch’ll have few friends left, and like as not no home base. Given that, I’ll be not completely surprised if he’s reluctant to move on from Plaguemort, which is where I’d rather hunt him given the choice of the two.”
"What would the proxy of Demogorgon want or need? Something that he cannot do without. The answer to that may give as the clue to the perfect bait."
"Perhaps he has something that he lusts for."
"BTW, what are the duties and responsibilities of a proxy of demogorgon anyway?"
"So we hunt Enoch in his own turf, where he knows it better than us and would probably have allies to help him? Don't you think it would be better if we lured him out of the abyss to a place and time of our choosing where we have the advantage?"
"Greetings. This unit requires no seat and can be comfortable in a standing position indefinitely. Query: This unit spys a copy of Garthames' Codex Inexplica with the Frek Ahm Zûrri annotations. This unit has read mention of this tome, but has never seen a copy in physical form."
Reghar rubs his temples, as if the mention of books makes his head hurt.
Thorn quirks a bushy eyebrow and strokes his beard. He’d halfway not expected to see Reghar here today … still, he’d halfway not expected to be here himself, and here he was.
Reghar hides his smile as he takes the gold. "You get Enoch's hide or head, whichever I come across first." With that Reghar departs the Oarsman to meet the others.
Zegonz may go to hell. Besides, the money is not Enoch's payment but rather Reghar's haul. When Reghar returns to the Styx he tells his employer that Enoch is dead. <A credible fabrication> He then quits his jobs to pursue his destiny. He then returns to meet with the others.
With an unusual amount of restraint, Reghar is satisfied with his portion, though he eyes the magical stuff with either greed or distrust.
"It a start.", he grumbles, tearing a mouthful of meat off a whole roast pheasant that you're pretty sure he grabbed from another (aghast) patron on the way up.
Spoiler:
James, really am sorry for neglecting my posting here. Won't allow it to happen again.
