About Razia
Razia does not know what her name was at birth. She does not know if she had a name at birth. She was born somewhere in Cheliax; it is not known where, and it does not really matter. She was raised solely to be an experiment for a sect of Conjurers in Westcrown. They were attempting to use a sentient psyche to form a link to infernal realms, to increase the ease of various summonings and callings of devils. However something went wrong. Something went horribly wrong.
Whatever they contacted, whatever connection they made it was not to Hell. It was not to the Abyss. It was a place far worse. The mages forged a connection that day to the emptiness between stars. They contacted an Old One, and for five agonizing minutes, each second an eternity, Razia’s mind was subjected to the horrors formed by the sleeping alien consciousness. It broke her. It also broke the arcane laboratory. When she regained what now passed for her consciousness the entire lab was in shambles, the mages dead. A raven sat nearby.
It spoke to her in a language she didn’t know she knew. It told her it was a part of her. It told her that to be whole again she would need to seek power. It explained to her what had happened. It also explained that she was still connected to the mind of the sleeping Old One, and that she could “share” this connection with others, should she desire they know a portion of her suffering.
Her mind is a waking nightmare, her identity shattered. For this she blames all of Cheliax. She hates them and seeks to do all she can to oppose them. To that end she decided to join with Andoran. She cares nothing for their ideals, but they are the greatest threat to the operations of the Chelaxian Empire. She only wishes to regain what she lost. She followed the advice of the raven, Nyogtha, and joined the Pathfinders. The power she has been told she needs will likely be found through one of their operations.
