I think I am going to bow out. My interest is gone and I have no desire to continue.
Please remove me from the game.
And with that hit of the javelin, Raven falls to the ground unconscious.
-5 HP.
Raven attacks the same one as before.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8
sigh
Whoops, sorry. I am back.
Just a heads up, I will be out of town on Saturday and Sunday 11-24 & 11-25. I will be back on Monday 11-26.
Raven lets loose at one of the javelin throwers.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Raven draws her bow.
"Why yes, of course! It would be rude of us to keep them waiting." she says to Haaken.
Ready action: If they reach the outer edge of the stones she will fire but before they are in melee range.
Haaken wrote: Is the map link working for anyone else? It is for me.
I ninja'd Thorgar by 4 seconds!
Check! Oh, and what time of day is it?
"Does anyone have a means to see if there is any magic about?"
"Stop!" Raven yells. "We don't know what they are!"
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
You know, sometimes the dice roller is crappy.
Big Blue wrote: The big brute's eyes practically cross and he looks at Haaken in bewilderment. "He always talk like that? Sheesh."
Looking back to Thordan, he nods. "Y'know, normally I'd jus' Say 'no, I can't', an' that would be a good enough answer to satisfy the Wyrd, but Imma gon' do ya a favor since your friend here's a stand up guy. Baba Yaga. Yer lookin' fer Baba Yaga. An, yeah, I know who she is. Ain't never met her, and don't never want to, but I know who she is."
"You want t' find her? Go to the Darkening Wood and find the Chicken-Leg Hut, and ask it t' turn it's back t' the trees an' it's front to you."
"Some free advice though. Don't go lookin' for her. I ain't never hearda no one likin' what they find, or the price they pay for it."
"Why were you charged to stay and guard this bridge?"
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Thorgar the Childeater wrote: Thorgar tenses his hand twitching towards the hilt of his sword eyes burning, but with a deep breath he steadies himself, and looks to Raven and Thordan,
"Mercy? Mercy is well and good, but what do you think he will do when freed, he'll be another monster stalking my homeland, another cause for weeping mothers and sleepless nights. What do you two think of this madness? At least talk to the beast before unleashing it, extract a promise to do no harm - it seems to be honor bound, if it is truly tied here."
Raven puts her hand on Thorgar's shoulder.
"If we are attacked I will stand with you. If by destroying the bridge it sets the beast free to lead a better life, should we not do this?"
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
As Thordan begins to fall Raven reaches out and grabs him.
Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
"Gotcha! Watch your step Little One." she says as she gently puts him on his feet again.
"I'm not that stupid to cross over here."
With that, Raven moves further away to find a safe place to cross the way without getting in range of the big thing.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
When she finds a safe spot she will flap over. Not flying upwards, just across.
Think Raven should get defiant with the big dude? :p
Big Blue wrote: "Um.. lady? What?" the massive man-thing said, scratching it's head as it looked over it's shoulder.
Looking back at Raven, the brute shook it's head and lowered it's brows. "You ain't gonna trick me, miss flappy-flap. I ain't no dummy. Everybody knows mice don't talk!"
"Trick you? You have a lot to learn about others."
Thorgar the Childeater wrote: Thorgar scowls at the bridge, feeling a little stronger after a night's rest,
"I don't like the idea of finding death like a fool. Raven, can you cross with a rope? Will your wings be enough to save you if you should fall?"
"I should be able to fly without much difficulty."
DM Doomed Hero wrote: Give me a Craft or Survival check to scrape the fur clean and start curing it over the fire high enough up that it doesn't damage it.
Everyone give me a DC 11 Fort save please.
I already did a survival check for that task.
Fortitude Save + Cold Weather clothes + survival: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Survival against severe weather: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Quote: Gain a +2 bonus on all Fortitude saves against severe weather while moving up to half your overland speed, or gain a +4 bonus if you remain stationary. You may grant the same bonus to one other character for every 1 point by which your Survival check result exceeds 15. "Thorgar, keep a small space between your inner and outer clothes. It will keep you warmer."
"Little One, don't get so close to the fire. Let your body do more of the work. Let the fire supplement your own heat, not take it over."
Thordan Silentail The Neverfail wrote: Lady Angel can I have the fur please? I would like to make a nice scarf for Lady Fiona when I return. "Sure little one. When I am done you may have it."
Thorgar the Childeater wrote: Thorgar finishes once his battered greatsword is wickedly sharp again and admires the blade for a moment. Gesturing to the fox he asks Raven, Think you can do anything with that? I can char meat, but little more, I'd not say no to something cooked with a touch of finesse?" His words gruffer than his tone.
"Shouldn't be a problem." she says as she begins to work on the animal.

DM Doomed Hero wrote: It is currently early afternoon. Are you looking for a place to camp and treat Thorgar's wound, or are you pressing on? I would say long enough to treat Thorgar. How does everyone else feel about it?
"I have a healing kit when we are settled in."
Raven begins searching for a good place to camp.
Not sure if survival is the skill to use but it is the closest one I can think of that works.
Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Raven comes upon the duo and the slain spider.
"Is everyone alright? Does anyone need aid?"
Raven suddenly looks around like she lost something.
"Um, does anyone remember where we camped? I just realized that I don't remember how we got here."
She begins looking around to find the tracks that everyone made.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Raven goes to swing at the wisp. As she looks at the light she suddenly stops and just stares at it.

"What the...where did that....huh?" Raven wonders aloud.
Snapping to her senses
"What is that thing doing to us?" she exclaims.
Thorgar the Childeater wrote: Hmmm, doesn't that render having a good Init a bit irrelevant? Or am I misunderstanding? Thorgar has Improved Initiative, which I might like to swap out if I'm understanding this right. The group based initiative is only for the first round. Then we get regular.
"What is it you want?" Raven calls out to nothing in particular.
"Haaken, snap out of it!" Raven says and she shakes him.
Raven moves to Thorgar to wake him up.
"Hey, wake up. Haaken and Thordan are gone." she says while moving him with her foot.
Raven stands, draws her scimitar and immediately moves into the shadows just beyond the campfire for a cloak of secrecy while she begins a search.
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
She begins a thorough look around the area to see what is around.

"That works for me Thorgar. Each of us should make sure the fire is stoked on their watch. Now unless anyone else objects, I am hungry and am going to make some food."
Knowledge: Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
"Unfortunately, no. I never had a reason to have a torch or similar."
Of course. I was just wanting to do something cinematic. It was pretty cool.
Thorgar the Childeater wrote: Thorgar stares up at the winged woman with the rat clinging onto her and thinks of owls. But he has to admit the feat is impressive, it must be wonderful to be able to fly, the number of times I wish I could have flown away...
"Are you two done arsing about?" he asks gruffly, "I am not in the mood to scrape up rat pancakes."
"We are all unhurt fortunately. Shall we press on?"
"Here is one that fell out. Treasure it well."
"Normally it hurts to fly like that. Former injury flares up when I try to ascend. It seemed to be ok this time." she says while stretching a bit.
Raven jumps down in the hole with Thordan.
"Grab on." she says.
Once Thordan has latched on:
Raven spreads her wings majestically, and she takes off.
Fly: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
I actually made the DC to fly upwards! Woot!
She flys up about 100' and then circles around. With the loud flapping of wings, she sets down next to the group and puts the little guy down.
"Don't say I never did anything for you." she says with a sly smile.
I will deduct the cost of a healing kit and add it to my inventory. After all, Raven does have the heal skill.
"Well, I am happy to share the table. As to my food, that all goes to me." she says with a smirk.
