All right, if I make an improvised weapon oracle and I have a bottle in my backpack, for the sake of drawing it, does it count as a stowed object or a weapon for the sake of the haunted curse? What about magic scrolls with that wizard archetype that turns them into weapons?

I'm a PC in the middle of a Rise of the Runelords campaign at the moment, and the party is currently level 11 on the fast xp track progression. So based on that, no spoilers please.

I'm having trouble constructing a backup character to take over my Undine Inquisitor as not only am I kind of bored with him and want to make a new character, but I don't feel he compliments the party well. The party consists of a Tiefling two-weapon ranger, a human archer fighter, an Aesimar two-handed weapon paladin, a human Priest 3rd party class (approved by GM, it's effectively a divine wizard)who doesn't attend too many sessions, leading to problems, and my Crossbow Inquisitor.

In terms of skills, we've got a fairly good coverage in social skills through my Inquisitor and the Paladin, while the Tiefling and my Inquisitor also have Wisdom-based skills laid down. So skill points don't matter too much in this situation.

Also, all of the PC's are fairly optimised, with the Archer Fighter laying out the most damage by far. But none of us are really Munchkinning it. All Paizo rules are allowed except Aesimar Variants, Synthesist summoners, Dervish Dance and Leadership.

The problem I find is that we have no real 'Anvil' in the popular analogy for a good party composition and I haven't really played a character in that area before. So here are my ideas that I'd like to try:

- Touch Debuffing Bones or Dark Tapestry Oracle
- Whip-using trip jockey Magus
- Whip-using trip jockey Bard
- Standard God Wizard / Witch

Note that I'm not really a fan of Wizards and Witches, simply because I feel I'm too reliant on my prepared spells and suffer too much in Hit Die and BAB to be useful in melee or ranged combat.

We split gold and items with no purpose other than gold value between the party, and magic items, ect. are given to the party member who would make best use of it. Amy disputes are solved with a dice roll.

Shocking Grasp - A magus can make this thing his bread and butter for spellstrike and get the damage to 15D6 while using only a level 2 spellslot (Empowered spell arcana + Intensified spell) as well as getting it to crit on the range and multiplier of his weapon.

Not to mention touch attacks stay relevant all the time :D

Summoner isn't the best class to multiclass with, but 1 level into the Dragoon fighter archetype (can't remember what it's called) is useful for the weapon and armour proficiency as well as two ride-related feats that's useful if you're using the Eidolon as a mount.

Sorcerer or bard is always a decent option too, as they run off the same spellcasting stat, although there's no specific synergy in abilities that I know of.

Depends on the composition of the rest of the party - Do they have many frontline fighters other than the Eidolon? Is their composition solely based off the Eidolon taking all the enemies while a bunch of spellcasters or half-spellcasters take care of the magical sides of things?

Also, you can put pressure on an Eidolon without nerfing its statistics - throw in some enemies with DR/magic or Cold iron or silver, ect. Have some wizards cast debuffs or domination spells on the Eidolon. Have a few gunslingers touch AC rape the Eidolon from a distance. Perhaps even place the party into a tight walkway or gauntlet, and have the Eidolon fight a series of Magi (Maguses?) all shocking grasping it until the summoner's forced to sacrifice hp or let it die. Then place them into a fight with a bunch of Barbarians or whatnot now that they're down a major frontline shield and damage source.

Traps that run off will saves work wonders as well for pressuring a powerful Eidolon. Just don't aim for a TPK, but design encounters so that the strengths of the Eidolon are weaker and its weaknesses are being abused.

Ok, I'd say that in a fantasy setting I'd pretty much be Human, as I don't fit into any other race really. As for stats, I'm kind of strong for my size but I can be clumsy and slow at times. I'm kind of blessed with good endurance and tolerance of conditions in general. I'm quite smart and strong-headed, though I lose my temper occasionally which often results in a violent reaction. As for Charisma, I'm not very sociable:

14 Str
12 Dex
16 Con
15 Int (Racial +2) = 17
13 Wis
8 Cha

25 point buy

Lawful Neutral Alignment, with particular attention to staying supportive of allies and loved ones, and abiding all laws in any land I go into. I still try to be Good (who wouldn't?) but I occasionally have lapses of judgement and cowardice that allow evil to occur.

As for Class, I'd put myself as a Magus mainly. I enjoy sports and physical activity but I'm also certainly a bookworm of sorts which would easily place me in that area. I'm the kind of person to enjoy using a weapon with a good reach and an unusual attack pattern, so maybe a light flail. I'd probably use Evocation and Conjuration the most, with a bit of illusion on the side for Shenanigans.

I won't really go any further than that, since everything else is pretty much optimising your own character concept, which isn't fun in my opinion.
