Earlier today,I had a peculiar question hit me about playing a character in Pathfinder.
"If a Character believes in good(saving the earth, bullying is bad)but he doesn't do anything to stop the evil around him (like letting the bullies go unpunished) and remaining mainly passive to things, what Alignment is that character?"
I posted this question to my local group,To which i received this answer
"It doesn't change his alignment. His alignment doesn't mean he must enforce it."
"it's your world view.Enforcement is a purely personal thing"

While this answers my first question it brought forth yet another question to mind
"Can a lawful good paladin not fight for good even though he believes in it?
I'm opening this up for discussion because i'm curious to know if this if remotely possible at all, keeping in mind the strict rules following the playing of a Paladin and the rules of alignment in general.I'm rather new to playing pen and paper rpgs such as pathfinder as a whole,so please fill me in on anything I've missed.
