I've invited a friend to join us and fill the Tactical position. Jok'kem can join up whenever he feels up to it.

Hi Everyone. I'm the aforementioned friend. I'm new to the system but I'll get things worked up. Looking forward to joining as a Tactical officer.

Interesting to see how many potential players seem to be put off by the pirate theme. I can see that for the roleplaying version (but not really understand, because romanticized pirates are fun!), but for a game like this, which is basically a board game, I think it's a weird decision.

I don't think it's wierd. I want to enjoy the theme of the game I'm playing.

It's the same reason I steer away from military themed games...not my thing.
I love the game play of PACG, but I don't like pirates enough to spend $100+ on this version. I'll wait for the next set to be released and play a theme I enjoy.

Pirates.
I have everything from the PACG RotR set and I love it. But I'm just not a fan of pirates. This goes for my Pathfinder RPG group as well. We've not tackled the Skull and Shackles AP and probably never will. We're old D&D players. The pirate theme just isn't for us.
That being said, we've finished RotR AP and we loved it. So when I got PACG RotR, it was like re-reading an old favorite book. I got to relive the old battles and meet up with old NPCs. I found myself taking pictures of the scenario and location cards and sending them to my RPG group with captions like "Remember when we were here fighting this guy?" It was awesome.
I love your game and I plan to buy the upcoming adventure, but considering the investment needed to play the full adventure, the pirate theme just wasn't compelling enough for me to make that investment. Stick with the traditional fantasy theme and I'll buy every set you put out.

Turn around times are on the long side right now. We'll get to you as soon as we can! Sorry for the delays!

Understood. No problem. Thanks for the reply.

Hi there! Just a quick question. I sent an email to customer service about a week ago and I'm curious what the normal turn around time is to get a reply. I'm sure you all are swamped, under staffed, and working as hard as you can, I'm just trying to figure out what the timeline might be for a reply.
Thanks in advance!

I HAVE to sleeve my cards because of the 2nd printing/1st printing card back problem.

It saddened me a bit to see Vic think sleeving was a bad idea. I don't really feel like I have an choice here if I want to play the game properly, unless I'm missing something. I've invested >$200 in the game so it feels like I'm committed to making this work at the point.

I'm in the same boat. The card back printing problem is going to force me to sleeve at least some of these cards. I never intended on sleeving these cards due to the added expense, however, I'm going to have to sleeve at least my character decks and any cards currently used at locations. At this point, my plan is to sleeve and un-sleeve cards at locations because I really don't want to buy sleeves for the base set, the character addon deck and the other 5 adventures. It's going to be a pain, but I feel like I need to do it to play the game correctly. Honestly, it's somewhat soured my experience with this game. I've got a ticket into Paizo explaining my problem. Hopefully they'll come through and help me out. :)

I'm having a similar problem with card colors. I bought the base set and loved it! I quickly turned around and bought the other 5 adventure packs. Sadly, when I started pack 2 this evening, I noticed that the backs of the cards in pack 2 were a different color from the base set cards. I checked my other packs and found that packs 2,3 and 6 all have card back colors different from the base set. I've already order the character pack, but it hasn't arrived yet. I've got my fingers crossed that it will match the base set. I've just sent an email (with pictures) to customer service asking for help. The change in the color really affects game play. It's impossible not to know when a card from pack 2 is next on the location deck.

I really love this game and I hope that customer service can help me. This thread kinda scares me, but I'm hoping that since my issue is more than just the character addon pack that paizo will help me out.

Fingers crossed. :)
