About Quintus "Quint" Costenov

Quint is a young Taldan man with flowing blond hair and blue eyes who originally hails from a small village in Rostland. Never content to sit still, be quiet, or accept perceived injustice his life was a constant series of rebellious acts and run-ins with the local reeve (a great deal of which involved stealing one thing or another to help his family). A few years ago he was spotted stealing from the reeve’s personal wine cellar. Though Quint narrowly escaped capture this latest crime was one too many, and he was forced to flee his village. Quint joined a local bandit gang, though it never quite set well with him as he had always been a bit of a romantic and the reality of bandit life did not match well with the fireside tales and ballads he had learned as a child. Nevertheless Quint lived with them in the wild until a few weeks ago when his best friend, Vonn, was captured and hanged for banditry. Devastated by this loss Quint left his life of crime (but not before liberating his ‘fair share’ as well as Vonn’s from the gang), and headed south into the Stolen Lands to make his fortune. He has recently arrived at Oleg’s trading post and is trying to work out his next move.

Effect: This bright and spritely tune mimics the sound of human feet, slowly building to a steady, ground-eating pace. When you complete this performance, you affect one ally in hearing range per bard level. This masterpiece increases the affected target’s base land speed by 10 feet for 1 hour. This adjustment is treated as an enhancement bonus. There is no effect on other modes of movement, such as burrow, climb, fly, or swim. As with any effect that increases your speed, this spell affects your jumping distance (see the Acrobatics skill).
