Yeah, my DM told me the mod specifies it only recharges wands...

Ok so the regular bonus for RWO is +2 to concentration checks, once you become mythic it adds +4 to caster level checks vs. Demons, and with a mythic point you can recharge 1 d10 plus tier to recharge a magic item. Is the recharge for wands only or an charged item?

As a mythic dragon disciple I am going to choose shifter mastery, this will allow me to, when having cast a polymorph spell, use my caster level in place of my base attack for the duration of the spell and increases my caster level by 4. So how high can my attack bonus go, and does that mean if I have over a 6th level caster do I get an addtional attack as per a 6th level base attack. Also of I have power attack can I determine my damage bonus by this well? Any assistance on this would be great thanks.

If you cast stone fist then animal aspect (gorilla) would that increase your d6 unarmed damage to d8s? Are they stackable?

Haven't thought about treasure or terrain yet..

Party just cleared out bee nest that took over the town bridge, last encounter was queen bee which was cr 5 on her own, i forgot to lower hd for lower party level.. But they still managed to beat with no fatalities and minimal stat damage. Party will be well rested, they all have high end point buy so better than average stats, meaning good saves. They found large tracks that they did not identify after clearing out bees, I was toying with having them run into spriggans as small so as not to give it away initially, have the spriggans discover dead bees and double back to confront at lair.

They have a cleric of Freya, trad. rogue, sorceror, and a halfling barbarian Titan mauler

Feb would a pair of Spriggans be too much for a 2nd level party of 4? thinking that equates to an EL 5? Need couple of large monsters for end fight in large bee adv. Need large handlers.. advice appreciated.

Doing CoF and I need some advice, party of 4, core pcs(rogue, ranger, wizard, cleric) and the handled initial enc. Fine, the even took out the second enc. And got back the crucible, however they decided to turn.back and then no go back out until morning, which put the whole place on high alert per the mod, so they sneak up to the secret door get in no worries but then the go the second flit and.set off the rotted floor which collapses tips off the guards which call to the bell tower and set off the general
Alarm. So they basically get warcrafted by the entirety of the keep, they barely hold out . I have Lannet in a tree sniping magnificently they realize the impending tpk and jump over the front wall and run away.

My question is how do I proceed from here? If the head back the next day which is what it sounds like they might do, they're liable to be slaughtered. Any ideas?

Thank you for the clarification!

Just wondering what would happen, its not a damaging spell so it shouldn't end the invis, but what happens after that for the recipient just no attack me or does it look for me or what?

Well thing is, I'm doing a conversion of the final boss on the mod Crucible of Freya. It's a 9th lvl wizard that tries to become a lich but is tricked by orcus and turned into a shadow with 3 lvls of wizard

It would make him a cr punching bag.

He's got no ability to handle material components,so his spellcasting is going to be problematic at best.

Couldnt he just have eschew material components to get around that?

So.. if I were to create a CR 3 shadow and give him 3 levels of wizard, would that make him a CR5 or CR6?

There are 4 PCs, wizard, cleric, rogue, and ranger. I have no problems occasionally fishing dice as I am a notoriously terrible roller of dice as player. In fact their very first encounter I fudged a die roll or not one of 3 goblins would have hit once.

The other question I have is when building npcs/ monsters with class levels, do I have to stick with standard stat numbers or can I create stats of my choosing still adhereing to a 15 point buy? Basically why if.I make a hobgoblin sorc or wizard or cleric can the highest stat they get be a 15?

I have a group that are using a 25 point buy for stats, do you think that should effect their ecl at all? I got a first level ranger dishing out 7 - 16 points of damage without even using favored enemy. Lvl 1 goblin warriors are obliterated in one swing. I spent more time describing new and interesting ways his flail butchered them than actually fighting. I'm all for letting them use these stats, but I don't want this and future adventures to be a push over and I don't want to increase monsters too much or they will skyrocket in xp.....Suggestions?

If I have a monster, with a class level, that I am making into an npc/monster for the pcs to fight, do I have to go with the standard stat builds? (15,14,13,12,10,8) or can I create my own using the 15 point buy for stats. The race is a pc playable race. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Looking to make a npc hobgoblin fighter, CR 2 conversion, so 3rd level fighter. I have a few questions.

Taking pit boss racial trait gives whip proficiency and +1 to disarm and trip.

Weapon focus whip

And whip mastery

Not sure of third feat.

Also if base to base with one pc, and attempt to attack another with reach, this won't provoke, but will I get a penalty for cover?

Figure this is a great way to do dissarms and trips without the feats.

Well as interesting as the conversation has been, you are correct.

Just to give a little clarification, the lair is not a goblin lair buy rather an old forgotten dwarven dungeon. The goblins have roughly 10 goblin warriors lvl1 two hobgoblin fighters lvl1 one hobgoblin wizard lvl two, one bug bear, one hobgoblin fighter lvl3 and on CR3 tiny black dragon wrymling. The drow have match for match on the goblins and hobgoblins and a drow noble cleric3 vs the dragon

I just had my cleric get his hand lopped off myself. Got two crit cards back to back, that one and another one that eviserated me.. lost a bunch a.con, strength and the hand had a.sheild strapped to the other. Asked my party member to help me take it off and was told I need to figure out how to do that kinda thing myself, shouldn't be handicapped I should be handicapable....

Looking to run howling horde in PF, all players seasoned camera two are normally DMs, think they are expecting a straight up run thru. Thinking of changing it up and adding a twist. Replacing half CR 1/3 goblins with CR 1/3 drow, changing other half into goblin skeletons and zombies, Hob wizard as drow necro and changing out CR 3 black dragon for CR drow noble cleric. Trying to make it look like original lair was taken over by drow invading party. Instead of initial goblin attack in beggining having three drow with ancestral regression spells up. Additional ideas or tips are greatly appreciated. And thoughts on change up in general.

Ok, so I have a cleric with Healer's blessing and I have an issue with the explanation of the ability. It says like empower, but then after that is says increasing the amount of damage healed by half(+50%). So is this to mean as per empower which only give an additional 50% to the dice roll and not the level dependent modifiers, or is it as per the last part of the sentence and 50% of the end result of dice and level depend modifiers? And clarification with some sort of official stamp or title would be greatly appreciated, as this is very unclear. Thanks

Playing cleric with merciful healer archtype. At third level you get mercy ability which is very similar if not the same as paladin mercy ability, also at 3rd. Even says treat like paladin mercy in regards to feats. So as per mercy ability should it supress poisons and curses with the possibility of removing with caster level check, as per paladin ability? Or should you have to make a caster level check to remove any condition any time no supression as suggested by DM? I feel as though requiring a caster level check for every instance and only allowing removal not suppression sort negates the actual bemifit of the class? Can any one please weigh in on this?

Should mercy ability at 3rd work like paladin mercy or like remove disease/remove curse spells requiring caster level checks to be successful? DM saying per spells w/faster level checks, feels like it nerfs ability...
Any thoughts?

The ability doesn't allow you to qualify for any feats that have other prerequisites, it simply is able to use them in a similar manner to the Paladin's Mercy class feature. I can't think of any ability that would really find that last part helpful except for the Paladin/Cleric multi-class characters out there, which is something that's done.

Seems pretty silly to include the last line of verbiage for the ability then. Why say it works like the palidan feature for qualifying for feats if every feat requires both mercy and lay on hands as prereq. for it?

Ok just looking for clarification. Does a merciful healer qualify for greater mercy and similar feats? If not, what feats that incorporate mercy ability does a merciful healer qualify for? Any input would be greatly appreciated. QM-

Pretty much. There are a number of classes where (for the most part) you cannot stack the archetypes. Druids are another example.

Ok here's another one for you then, if I take separatist, I take a time as my non god domain, I get all spells lowered, but I still get scribe scroll feat from domain yes?

Gauss wrote:

If two archetypes modify the same ability then you cannot combine them. In this case both archetypes modify your domains. You cannot combine them.

So then basically you cannot stack any two cleric archtypes.

Ok here's my question,
Can you stack the merciful healer class options with the theologian class options? Both say only one domain but MH says it has to be heal while T. does not require any specific domain. Wasn't sure if this fell under too good to be true or not. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
