Paizo,
you guys rock.
Greyhawk for me was a little glowing ember, something gorgeous to look at, something surrounded by the ashes of its past a thing softly glowing with an honest brilliance.
A little ember that for me, would only got lit again and again, fed little scraps of wood and paper now and then, being whispered melancholic whispers of affection, blewn at and kept alive, by the people that sit under your proverbial roof. Oh the fun of watching it glow!
But alas, hence due to the departure of 2 loved magazines, and a splendid series of Adventure Paths, the poor little ember god fed a huge load of.. a huge load of something vile that made sure the ember would surely not glow ever again, unless lit by some otherworldy thaumaturgy powered by buckets of what.. possible energy?
In these few days of nerd crisis I have seen you showing us the skeletal works of a new fire. Something that I feel will start to burn ever as brilliant if not more than the previous one did.
My gods you sure do know what makes the beast tick! You Paizo as a whole do know how to create, how to work together and make it happen, you seem so healthy! Spunky and viral!
I know, I do know that the little glowing ember still has some time to glow yet, I wish it the most brilliant and sizzling petering out of embers ever.
I know memorial candles like Return to Castle Greyhawk will come allong. I do hope they are being followed upon in the future.
Guys, I do not know who exactly of you to adress but thank you.
And thank you for Pathfinder, I seems so much like the old but so much better. A fresh fire. I am looking forward to telling my players a story about ashes around it. I really do.
Yeah, Greyhawk is a fading brilliant ember, Pathfinder a new fire somewhere in an ancient forest, and Return to Castle Greyhawk a candle in a lodge surrounded by smelly electrical heaters.
I am looking forward to warming myself and maybe adding my own pieces of burnable stuff to your new adventure.
Paizo,
you guys just raised my Avanc!
thanks.
