Backstory:

Phineas was raised by his human mother, Gloria Nalinder, in the settlement of Torch. His half-elf father, a brilliant alchemist, unfortunately was taken before Phineas could even remember him. Instead, Phineas had one of his father’s closest friends, a wizard by the name of Khonnir, to look into as his father figure. Under Khonnir, Phineas learned how the wonders of technology, although Phineas was more interested in taking things apart rather than building them.

Despite their close relationship, Phineas did not end up becoming a Wizard, though he did consider it, instead he decided to follow in his biological father’s footsteps, and became an alchemist, albeit one with his own twist in it.

However, there is one other person important in Phineas’ life, Val, the adopted daughter of Khonnir. Phineas and Val had a big rivalry growing up. Both were interested in the technologies and about learning, though eventually they settled on different paths. Val had a more hands-on kind of approach whereas Phineas watched from a distance. That isn’t to say that he wasn’t willing to get his hands dirty, but rather he rather look at something at all angles before stepping into the fray.

At the time of the beginning of the campaign, Phineas was out traveling. When he had heard word of Khonnir’s disappearance, he quickly rushed back. Maybe he can repay what he owed Khonnir.

Personality:

Phineas is a more straightforward kind of fellow. He is an advocate of truth and wishes to bring it out. As stated in the history, he’s also an observer more than an actor, although he will act when he feels it is necessary. He was raised to be polite, but to also be truthful, which can be contradictory sometimes.
