![]() I was waiting for Natasha, but I assume you'll be cabbageheading her. Parvaneh, now freed from being engaged with a lizardman, moves into a flanking position with a new lizardman and readies an action to strike as soon as Alric engages. Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Parvaneh tries to duck underneath the lizardman's swing, but she might be too tall to evade it. Once on the opposite side of the Green Knight, she strikes out with a bladed ring in one hand, but is distracted after extending herself in motion and misses. ![]()

She gives it a soft kiss and then smiles with a joy that defies their circumstances. Casting Bless: Each ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects. ![]()

![]() Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 "Dreams have a lot of meaning, sweet prince. They're always an omen of something. If not a vision from the goddess of what may come then a vision of what you face. Or don't want to face," she adds, ominously. "Why don't you tell me about it? Maybe I can offer some insight." ![]()

![]() The Sandpoint priestess is ready and raring to go the following morning. The only difference in her dress from the day before is that she's wearing boots today and has a patterned knapsack. This girl is ready to tackle the world. "Rise and shine! The road awaits!" ![]()

![]() I don't think so. Don't recognize the letter. Or this box. But some of the iconography on this treasure looks Tian. Maybe Ameiko would recognize bits and pieces of it. Ameiko! Ameiko? Parvaneh wanders around trying to find Ameiko to have a look at this stuff, too. ![]()

![]() So that everyone can see it, Parvaneh finally has her Ah hah! moment and unfurls the fan to its full length, and then lays it next to an area on her map of Varisia. "This is the most recent rendering of Brinestump Marsh. You can clearly see that the line on this fan matches the coastline in that area almost perfectly. Though there's no legend on the fan, I know what these markings indicate. That's a shipwreck. Oh, and so is that one. And this little block right here? That's a cavern entrance. You don't see that on a lot of maps, mostly because your casual traveler doesn't want to wind up in a cave. I usually only see this on maps intended for miners, landscapers, and spelunkers." ![]()

![]() Knowledge (Geo): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 on the chest after cleaning it off with a dishrag Knowledge (Local): 1d20 ⇒ 16 on the map Parvaneh takes peculiar interest in the map on the opposite side of the fan. She even runs home, grabs a map of Varisia, and comes back to the tavern, spreading it out over the table and comparing it to the map on the back of the fan. ![]()

![]() "The good old days. I always told Shalelu you should come with us on one, but she said you were having way more fun playing with your own friends. And boy, you kids played hard! I guess in some ways you still are. Look at you, going off and kicking goblins around. And don't worry, if their Chief doesn't want tourists, I'm not about to go adding their village to a map for everyone to see. For every sensible person who will look at a map and say, We ought to steer clear of there, that's goblin territory!, you'll have three adventurers wanting to go there specifically to earn quarry." ![]()

![]() "The better question is what keeps me in this small village, traveler. It's a battle where I lose ground, day by day. I've been to big cities and small towns and tribes and caravans, from mountain ridges to forests and seaside beaches. What I think you might mean is that I don't seem like a Sandpoint girl." She shrugs, leaning back in her chair and idly turning her own beer around. A challenging edge creeps into her voice, meeting his peer point for point. "What is it I should do, then, so as not to confuse a foreigner? To prove my pedigree as a native born daughter of Sandpoint?" ![]()

![]() "Do you know exactly where they built this village in the swamp? We've known about the Licktoad tribe, but goblins usually stick to warrens and unsavory hidey-holes, not whole villages. This is something I've got to see for myself! Even if only to landmark it." ![]()

![]() "Madame is close. The locals have taken to calling me Madame Butterfly on account of...a lot of things, really," she laughs airily. "But my name is Parvaneh. I saw you ride in on your steed the other day like a storybook knight and I just knew that you could accomplish whatever you set your mind to." Mai's comment is of particular interest. "Licktoad Village. That is a new one. The goblins built a village for themselves? Where?" ![]()

![]() Parvaneh is likely gossiping with Ameiko when the intrepid adventurers return (provided Ameiko is present). If not, then she is doing so with whomever is tending the Rusty Dragon in her place. Sir Alfric's entrance in particular gets the priestess to share a quirked eyebrow and a secret little smile with her conversational companion. "Welcome back!" she bubbles. No doubt the company's had a rough time of it. Word was already getting around town that they had been to the sheriff, ostensibly to collect their bounty. "Let me buy you all a round on the house as thanks. It's the least I can do. And it keeps you here at least one drink longer to tell me eeeeeverything that happened." Today she is wearing a pair of light blue breeches cut above the knees. Instead of wearing boots, her shins are bare and her feet are snug in a pair of sandals. A loose cotton blouse, dyed in a very, very pale lavendar, whisks in even the faintest breeze. She sits down across from Alfric and fingers the small butterfly charm around her neck, but her attention isn't necessarily exclusively upon him. She seems very happy to see everyone, the girls included. ![]()

![]() If you do a group rendering, I would just say the character probably looks very similar to the avatar I selected, minus the elven ears. She has a "flower child" kind of look, in my mind. A little bit taller than your average woman, suggesting some very distant Ulfen lineage (blonde-haired girl in Varisia). ![]()

![]() Ok, Azure, the crunch is now in the profile. I believe I captured everything correctly. I'm used to taking the lazy approach and letting Hero Lab do all the work for me, so I had to spend quite a bit more time figuring out this gestalt thing and applying the bonuses appropriately. Those doubling on class features sure stacks up! But I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was quite a lot of synergy between the combination of those classes, especially when taking that clerical archetype (you trade out wearing heavier armor than light armor for some neat bonuses so you don't lose out there on your rogue Evasions and such), and it just lent itself well to the concept I had of a Desnan cleric. If you see anything that seems off, let me know. Background will be coming soon. I took the Foster Child trait which made the most sense mechanically and otherwise. |
