Orsino moves forward to strike the kobold hit by Ranzo's arrow, he aims his to strike at various points on the kobold's body... His aim is to knock it out... attack1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17, damage (non lethal)1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Capture them alive if possible, they may prove useful... Orsino will then proceed to move forward in such a manner that any kobold attempting to move through his sphere of reach will provoke an AoE...

You don't have to feed them that much, your thinking of what a human has to eat each day to survive... A kobold is at least two to three times smaller in terms of weight then your average human, correspondingly they eat much less... An entire elk or deer will easily feed ten of them for a day, their small size may preclude them from the ranks of heavy infantry but they make excellent scouts and ranged combatants... Stop thinking like a normal soldier, start thinking like a general who finds a use for everything and wastes nothing.

Enslaving them would be inefficient, this is more akin to conscription... Basically you browbeat the kobolds to do your bidding, if you will you use intimidation and force to become a chief among them of sorts ...

We would do well to locate the field from whence this flower came, mark it on a map and then proceed the rest of the way... This could be useful but will require some research and experimentation on my part... question GM could there be such a think as experimental alchemy? Like the research rules in UM for creating new spells?

Orsino sits down at the table and eats the food, he also takes a few swigs of the ale proffered... Indeed wise druid, although I believe that we should only make the batch of Lotus flowers a priority if they prove to be exceptionally potent and useful... Otherwise I recommend just finding where they are and then proceeding to clean up the bandit infestation that chokes these lands. As while I do dearly love Lotus flowers I recognize that these bandits could put my ambitions on hold until they are cleared out.

Hopefully, as for exploration I believe we should wait for an hour while I experiment on the dead lotus flower I found... I don't know it's properties but if they are valuable we may well be standing on a virtual gold mine...

No ones know for sure, some speculate that the Grave Lotus somehow absorbed the emotions of the bandits they were planted in and acted accordingly... Others suggest that perhaps a cleric of Urgoatha had a role to play in the plants sudden rise to deadly sentience... we will never know for sure...

Orsino seeing that the priest is uncomfortable with both him and Kossuuck decides to attempt to ease the fellow's mind with some humor... Don't worry priest the chances of them being executed by the means my good friend describes are remote... Reason being that while the method he suggests is optimal for growth it can lead to rather... "spirited" plants in more way then one. I vividly recall the account of one Lotus Master who described the infamous "battle of the shears". As the account goes the exact method this good druid describes was used en masse on a hundred criminals, for reasons unknown to even the wisest of my order the plants became sentient and malevolent... The first causality of their wrathful vines was an unfortunate adept of my order, he died in a few minutes his body consumed by plant life... When the Lotus Master "Guan Pada" realized what was occurring he called forth a hundred strong and sturdy guardsmen, he told them of their task and to ensure that the grave lotus was properly harvested armed them with pruning shears... It was said that the battle was an epic for the ages, man fought against plant and villagers gathered from all around to watch the spectacle... diplomacy to put priest at ease1d20 ⇒ 20

Catch them and kill them, I was serious about starting a field in which grave lotus can grow... Fortunately with all the bandits in the area I shall have no shortage of corpses to create said field with. Even if I cannot find grave lotus seeds to plant the field with it will still be mightily good soil which I can grow other lotus flowers on...

Ranzo there is no need for identification, let us proceed straight to the execution and be done with this... I suffer neither bandits nor fools gladly, those who are both I will not suffer except as my hands close around their throats...

Orsino calmly takes a vial from his bandolier and drinks it, the mix of heady opium flower and pure Lotus extract not only increase his size but disposes him to anger... YOU are the bandits scum! You bare their tokens and have the gall to claim that WE are bandits! Grave Lotus requires a field filled with the corpses of the dead to grow, either surrender now or I will rip you limb from limb and throw your body parts into the field over yonder... intimidate (7 from base intimidate skill and 4 because thanks to enlarge person I am now way bigger then they are) Intimidate1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

Intriguing, this Ring is something valuable but only one whose bloodline flows with magic would find this useful... Inside is stored a spell of little to no consequence except for those sorcerers who desire to shed blood with "steel" as well as magic... If we could find a sorcerer with a nice coin purse I suspect we could all stand to make quite a bit of gold...

Intriguing poison, it will weaken those who ingest it but if administered within an hour of being bitten it has the potential to help the victim reject the disease of lycanthropy... Perhaps with a little work this could actually be turned into a powerful potion of some description that could be used to either wipe out the lycanthropic disease or at least treat it's effects... The spider itself I doubt is of this world, its origins are likely in the lands of the Fey... I wonder did this creature cross the barrier between planes via some form of magical gateway?

Tis not my opposition to his derangement, it is simply that I fear what might occur if this man were caught unawares by bandits or the like... He may well give out information concerning us without a second thought if he met someone on the road, someone like a bandit scout. If we could but find some way to stabilize or at least steady his mind it may well help both us and him in the long run... Sadly my knowledge of the Lotus does not yet extend to mixtures that can alleviate and treat conditions of the mind.

In a hushed tone Orsino speaks to his fellows... My allies this man could be exceedingly useful but he is clearly to forgone to be worth the trouble, unless you my dear priestess can somehow restore a fraction of his sanity... Note that only a fraction needs to be restored, insanity is a force of creativity but their is such a thing as "too much of a good thing"...

The book that began my studies, this man could be useful... If he can be rendered semi-sane that is, perhaps the priestess might know of a way to render him sane... Orsino smiles and reverently slides his finger down the book's spine. I propose after acquiring significant provisions for the Fort we go hunt one of these "Tatzlewyrms", besides the hides themselves could be quite supple. If they are say as supple as the creatures they are related to they could fetch quite a nice sum...

I have heard of these "Tatzlewyrms" before, they are in effect small "dragons". Tell me to they congregate near the beds of the Sacred Lotus? What are their exact capabilities in combat? And what useful things can they provide their slayers?
