Hello there,

Not sure yet if I'm going to jump into 2e or not, so I was doing a little research in order to understand the rules. I began with character creation, and you find me struggling already...

I tried to create a Hellknight signifer, and then realised that one such NPC has been published (Hellknight Paravicar, Creature 11, from Character Guide).

And its stats baffle me. I must certainly miss something obvious, because I don't understand how it has, for instance, such high AC and HP or saves, so much higher that what I got with my mock-up character.

- from Creature level and Divine spontaneous spells I assume it must be a 11th level sorcerer.
With Con +2 and being human, its HP should be 8+11*(6+2) = 96. But it is listed with 145 HP! What am I missing here? I found 1 feat that increases HP, but it would only give 11 more...

- with likely no proficiency in heavy armors and wearing a +1 Hellknight Plate, its AC, as far as I understand it, should be 10+7 =17.Yet it's listed as being AC 30! How is it possible?

- being expert in will saves and having +3 Wis, its Will save should be +7. It actually is +23. What could possibly explain such a huge difference?

Thanks for your help!

So, with no official Mythic Leadership feat (why?), are there already some homebrew rules around? How to increase the survivability of cohorts in a mythic game?

PS: I know of the Champion/Marshal abilities, I guess they are OK but only for followers... and only if you have Champions/Marshals around...

Here is my try on an Axiomite bloodline for sorcerer. Any constructive feedback welcomed.

Class skill: Knowledge (planes)
Bonus spells: true strike (3rd), darkvision (5th), haste (7th), order's wrath (9th), dispel chaos (11th), planar ally (inevitables only) (13th), dictum (15th), shield of law (17th), gate (19th)

Bonus Feats: dodge, empower spell, maximized spell, improved initiative, iron will, mobility, improved familiar, combat casting

Bloodline Arcana: You may summon Inevitables and call them as planar allies. When using summon monster to summon or call an Inevitable you may cast the spell as a standard action instead of an action with a casting time of 1 round. You may ignore the prerequisites of the Improved Familiar feat for taking an Arbiter familiar.

Bloodline powers:

Binding oath: at 1st level, you gain an arcane bond, as a wizard equal to your sorcerer level. Your sorcerer levels stack with any wizard levels you possess when determining the powers of your familiar or bonded object. Once per day, your bonded item allows you to cast any one of your spells known (unlike a wizard’s bonded item, which allows him to cast any one spell in his spellbook). This ability does not allow you to have both a familiar and a bonded item.

Axiomatic resistances: at 3rd level, you gain resist electricity 5 and a +2 bonus on saving throws made against mind-effects. At 9th level, your resistance to electricity increases to 10 and your bonus against mind-effects saving throws increases to +4.

Crystalline form: at 9th level, as a free action you can take the form of a crystalline dust. In dust form, you looks like a shifting mass of glowing mathematical symbols and equations. In this form you can fly (60ft) and gains the incorporeal quality; you can use spelllike abilities but cannot make physical attacks. You can remain in this form 1 round per sorcerer level. These rounds don't need to be continuous.

Call Inevitables: at 15th level, you may cast planar ally (inevitables only) once per week as a spell-like ability without having to pay the material component cost or the servant (for reasonable tasks).

Transfiguration: at 20th level, you gain immunity to disease, electricity, and mind-affecting effects and DR 5/chaotic
