Alright, do you still want us to pick our tasks or do we just assume whatever we are working on is fine? Ondir steps out onto deck and looks to the horizon, depressed to see the entire horizon filled with black clouds he tries to estimate the time until the storm will hit. Survival to forecast the weather for the next day: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 Not having a good reference point for the masses of black clouds he can only assume that it will hit soon and for more than the next day. He glances around and sees Crimson Cogward, remembering he follows the Lady of Graves, Ondir will make an attempt to befriend him before the storms hit. Sense Motive to determine initial attitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 Diplomacy to influence if indifferent or higher: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 "Ho there friend, does the Lady of Graves have any teaching on dealing with storms?"

Where are we at? Now that the holiday weekend is over for many of us. I don't see any action from Valen for the current day, seems like the rest of us are ready for the bloody hour and evening activity. Over the day Ondir watches the dark clouds on the horizon. On his trips down he calls out for all on deck to hear, "Storm brewing on the horizon should hit within the next day." He'll approach the crew he's he befriended and the other party members and give a more detailed warning, "Even the fish underwater are troubled by it. I expect the storm to be bad, probably toss some high waves at us. I expect we'll need all capable hands during this storm. I suggest resting up well tonight, or indulging if you wish to, don't know how long the storm might last." After dinner and a chance to talk with Sandara, Ondir will likely heed his own advice. After tending the sick party he'll get to sleep.

Badger was already moved from unfriendly to indifferent as result of a previous influence check. Should I assume she moved to friendly then? @Antal, I think it's just under the swab's tasks #2, just you're working in the bilges. So probably not dire rats again. Still not pleasant to be hunting any rats in the hot bilges all day long. Looks like we're all done with the night activities, so on to the next day. Hearing Kithranna comment about his health Ondir will merely reply in elven, "Well, I still see signs that the rat bites aren't healing well. Seeing those two suffer it might be best just to keep those bites tended to. That it unless ye really don't want the care. Sailors tend to die from combat, drowning, and disease. Usually not old age, unless they are lucky enough to retire." As they next day rises, Ondir feels better than he has in the past mornings, finally able to get a good night's rest without fighting off the fever. After buckling his sword and mug to his belt he heads up to get some breakfast and start the new day. Work for the day: 1d6 ⇒ 5, Lookout Turning to Kithranna he replies, "Yes, I was worried about that. The fever can take the body's resolve it needs to fight the fever, making the fever last until it wins. I'll ask around, though the best chance we have is to hope either Sandara or Habbly has access to a certain spell. The fever needs to break first before she can recover." Before continuing the shout for the day's task is called out, with a loud call for 'fishhead' to be sent up to the crow's nest. Finishing his breakfast quickly he says, "Well I better ask before I have to head to the crow's nest." Ondir will ask Sandara if she has the ability to heal ability damage. If so, he will request that she help out Riffelan. Would that take any action or roll? Diplomacy for simple or complicated aid would seem about right.
Before the start of work officially comes and he's sent up to the crow's nest Ondir heads over to Sandara. "It was a bit windy up in the rigging yesterday and they're sending me all the way to the crow's nest today, probably be just as windy, maybe even more." He looks out towards the direction the wind was coming from yesterday. "Anyways, I just wanted to ask you about Riffelan. The fever has taken a toll on her and she's struggling to fight it, even with the disease being tended to. I'm not powerful to do anything other than tend to the wounds, but maybe you can draw more favor from the Pirate Queen. Would be a shame to see our short staff reduced because of some rats. Might want to check on Antal as well, a day in the bilges isn't likely to help him fight the fever he has." Ondir's head whips around at the sound of boots approaching. "Looks like I have to go, I don't think I can dawdle much longer on deck without getting few bashes or a lashing. I'll catch up at dinner." Climb; Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 221d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 Leaving just a few steps ahead of being reprimanded Ondir swings up into the rigging with sure hands and feet and makes his way up to the lookout. Keeping a sharp eye on their surroundings is easy, but he focuses a fair bit of his time looking in the direction of the wind. Survival to predict the weather for the next day: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

yea, I figure not able to figure out their initial attitude is at least better than openly hostile. The rule of thumb I'm using if they are currently hostile to me (even if I got it wrong) then I won't try to influence them. Ondir would figure it's best to spend his effort where it's most likely to net him some benefit. He'll probably try a time or two with everyone that starts hostile to him. Also will probably not try to influence a member of the crew who's already being influenced by another character, with some exceptions. After checking in on Riffelan and Kithranna, seeing that all they really need is to rest without being confined in a box, Ondir settles into the nightly meal of thin turtle soup. Well at least it's not burnt. He looks over the others nearby and he spies Badger Medlar. I should keep trying to talk with her. I made a little bit of progress that last time. After finishing his soup he makes his way to talk with the half-elf. Diplomacy to influence Badger Medlar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 After having a nice chat with the middle aged half-elf he'll head down and tend to the rest of the crew. Bolstered by his success the night before he'll skip using supplies from the healing kit. Treating disease for the rest of the party still afflicted.
That will be it for Ondir's nightly activity. Looks like I've succeeded on my heal checks, just barely for Antal.

Winds, great. Well good thing I used my re-roll... then again if the winds are building maybe I should had held off on that. As well, that's the risk of using it. Lets see, Ondir hasn't tried to influence "Ratline" Rattsberger, Maheem, Syl Lonegan, and Tam Tate. Knowing Tam's a minion of Master Scourge he's not even going to try for the dwarf. So Ratline it is. Ondir looks in the direction of the wind, trying to see what sort of weather is coming. Hoping to not see a storm brewing in the next day.
Noticing the halfling working nearby he calls out, "How goes your work, mate? The winds have picked up a bit, hope they ain't a sign of a coming storm. Though there's always been something about storms that draws to me. Not to mention that they look quite different from below. Some storms above are fairly bad but below they are quite nice, even a majestic sight. Though when the seas surge there's quite a storm under the waves as well." Sense motive to determine Ratline's initial attitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
When the call for the end of the day comes, Ondir is glad to climb down. He accepts the rum ration and secretly disposes of it.
Assuming the lovebirds are released at the end of the day Ondir will check up on them.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Alright lets start the next day... with disease checks for those of us fighting off filth fever. Ondir is at 12/13 con (from the drink last night). Filth Fever says save 2 consecutive, so here's hoping Ondir makes it. I'm assuming they plan to throw Riffelan and Kithranna in even with Kithranna being in the negatives still, so I'll act on that. Fort check to fight filth fever a second time: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Plus a bonus if Sandara tended to my disease, I think I just edged by either way, whew. Waking up slightly early, Ondir will spend his time preparing his spells and then cast a cure light wounds on Kithranna. Seeing only a little improvement, he'll cast his second and hope he won't need to cast healing spells again today. He speaks in elven as Kithranna comes to, "Sorry to bring ye back to consciousness for the punishment you're going to be put to, but I think your chances against the heat are better if you're not knocked out when the punishment starts. It will be a long day. Good luck."
Day's work: 1d6 ⇒ 3 Upper rigging work. Climb up: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
As the work is called out Ondir find himself sent back up in the rigging. As Mr Plugg points to where he's working his eyes keep raising and raising until just below the crows nest. Well, I guess my day is going to be way up there. Can't help be see the pleasure in Mr Plugg's eyes giving me the highest rigging work he can. His climb up is just fine but as he starts working he feels a bit light headed, probably from shrugging off the fever. Hanging in the rigging he creates some water in the tankard at his side and drinks it slowly. Regaining his composure he sets himself to the task of working on the rigging. As he's working in the rigging he'll look for friendly, or at least not hostile faces of the other riggers working in the rigging or in the crows nest. Ondir will aim to influence another rigger that's up in the upper rigging or in the crows nest. Not sure who would be up there, so I'll leave that up to the Tim's choice.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Looks like Sandara beat the DC 10 check... "A bit in the morning, then today I haven't been able to focus as well. Didn't think much of it until I saw Antal's ravings. Then I got a good look at the others, I doubt my luck at avoiding the fever." Ondir's done for the night, will be waiting to see what happens to Antal and Valen.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Ondir looks around as the crew is getting their rum and makes note that a fair number of his party aren't getting their ration. Great, I better not try anything tonight, I feel like I'm being watched. He takes his rum to the table and drinks it down. Damn, that's strong. Just hope I can avoid it next time. Fort save, con damage, cha bonus, duration: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 71d3 ⇒ 21d4 ⇒ 31d8 ⇒ 5 Before the drink has a chance to really work through him, Ondir finds Sandara and strikes up a conversation. "Quite an eventful day, hopefully things won't get too bad tomorrow. I'm going to see to the others, I can see some signs of fever in most of them. I haven't checked myself over, so I wouldn't mind if you would do that for me." Feeling the fatigue of the day and the drink he parts from Sandara and heads down to tend to the others. Will mainly tend the wounds, wash with clean water, and use some supplies from the healer's kit, just to make sure.
7/10 uses of the healer's kit left. Ondir's nightly activity will be to sleep.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Ondir winces a bit, Well there are worse punishements on this ship, since they don't respect keeping the crew alive when they are really lost into giving out the whip or keelhauling. Looking back at Kithranna, I better talk to Sandara or see to Kithranna in the morning. I'm not sure if He'll do so well in the sweatbox being so beat up as he is. Though maybe that would be a blessing. So, what's the result of all this? A day in the sweatbox with both Kith and Riffelan being locked in on the same day? Is Ondir being put to the box as well or was the story enough for him to escape serious punishment? Those who are put to the box are they being put in for just 8 hours or longer? Are we all ready to do bloody hour, heal checks for disease, then the morning fight against the disease?
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
"Trouble seems to find me, sir." Ondir turns slightly towards Antal and continues talking to Scourge, "At least I'm not in as much trouble as these two. I came across them starting to fight, I tried but I couldn't stop it before they really got into it. Apparently after Kithranna got a split from that bout with Owlbear then Riffelan came seeking her fee, for her services the last few nights. Apparently she takes more than gold as payment and the fight got heated. They crashed into everything." Ondir pauses momentarily as he's lost sight of the halfling. Where is that halfing now? I hope he's not doing anything that's going to mess up this story. It already seems like it's going to land me in too much trouble. Perception check to see what Antal is doing 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 Not able to catch Antal in the corner of his eyes he quickly continues with the concocted story, "After a few cuts to both they crash into the door there. The harpoon hit Kithranna and brought him down. Riffelan was still intent on taking her fee in blood, so I had to knock her out. Fortunately it took only one hit with the pommel. I made sure Kithranna wouldn't die, but this day's been too eventful for me to do much more. Everything was over very quickly, then I knew my duty was to report this to you, sir." Ondir looks at the face of Scourge trying to gauge what his response will be. Hopefully her story will hold a bit, maybe I can get just a few rope bashes, or a lash or two with the whip.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Stealth check 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Ondir jumps out of the way as Riffelan vigorously begins to execute her plan. He bumps into something, making a little bit of noise. Hopefully only starting to draw any attention to them. That doesn't seem like much of a plan, but she certainly just jumps in even before explaining her plan fully. So be it, I just hope this doesn't backfire on me. He steps back forward still just out of reach and draws his dagger. He raises his voice, so as to make the scene appropriate, "Ye damn whore, you think about selling yourself and collecting your fee before the safety of this ship? Ye risk drawing the Pirate Queen's ire with your quarrel!" He pauses for only a bit before stepping forward to withing striking distance, "Can't ye see he's down! If ye keep at it, the captain might be down two sailors after they deal with ye!" With only a little warning he strikes Riffelan with the pommel of his dagger. Strike with the pommel, non-lethal damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 I believe that puts Riffelan out. 7 points from your own hits, than 3 from mine, so that leaves you at 1 hp, with 3 non-lethal Putting away his dagger he turns from his comrades, leaving things as is. He heads away from the scene, seeking out Master Scourge if he's not already alerted and coming towards them. They'll probably not like what I'm going to have to do, but the ship's man-at-arms is the one supposed to deal out punishment. "Master Scourge! There's some trouble here to be dealt with, sir."
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
"What do you think, just get him back to his bunk? Bring another person off work to cast some cure spells?" Ondir says quietly. After a brief pause he asks, "Or maybe we can play this a little safer for Kithranna and us. Maybe even by some time for Antal's recovery. What do you think about trying to play this up as due to the fever? Obviously Antal's got it but if the fever takes enough people out of commission then it's a problem, right? Maybe we should get to Habbly Quarne and plead the case to head this fever issue off before it becomes a big issue. If we can get the ship's surgeon on board with that idea maybe we can get it past the task masters Mr Plugg and Master Scourge." He looks to Riffelan, "My acting isn't great, but what do you think? We got a good chance with that plan?"
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Ouch, a hair rigger on touch. Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 While he's watching those on deck he notices Kithranna sneaking around. A while later his sharp ears catches a sound. That sounded like... I better go check. Ondir will head down to where the sound. When he gets close and sees Kithranna down he'll cast stabilize and then seek out either Riffelan or Sandara for someone who might be able to cast some healing magic. Unfortunately I'm out of first level spells. But stabilize is a ranged spell, so that's nice.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
The maps we have aren't labeled... A4 is the left-hand cabin. The one I've been assuming we all travel through. One question though, if the doors are always locked and one set of stairs from mid deck leads through the officer's quarters and the other set of stairs lead through the captain's quarters, how do we get to and from the mid deck to the upper deck for our duties and when we go visit the quartermaster's store? Or is there another way up? The only other thing listed are the hatches from the main deck to the mid deck, generally used to lower cargo. I just noticed one of the hatches for cargo opens up half over the middle hold and half over the room Grok and Ambrose share. Anyways, should I assume we buy the healer's kit or not? 15 gold and 6 silver is the split if we do. 25 gold and 6 silver if we don't. The fight should net everyone 80 xp as well. Having finished repairs in his section of the rigging Ondir will watch for landmarks and watch the people working on the main deck to see what they are doing.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Well, I haven't made my check yet. It would depend on which DC used. The Dire Rat entry has down DC 11 Fort while the glossary has DC 12 for filth fever. If I recall you rolled a 7, with +4 you'd just scrape by the Rat's DC but not the glossary's Craft check to make the hole and not crack the tankard: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 Crude, but I think this will work. Ondir goes back to work, taking his time until that day's bloody hour, dinner, and rum. Ondir is ready for the night. Everyone understands we're on a 30 ft by 90 ft, 3 floor (plus bilges) ship, right? Our "bunks" are hammock strung in the lower deck. The Quartermaster's shop, galley and a bunk for those two are on mid deck. There's only a handful of "cabins". One we come up through leads out to the open deck. The other has stairs up as well and exits onto the main deck. That's the only completely unexplored Cabin area, though one would guess we wouldn't walk up through the captain's cabin. The total floor space is only about 810 sq ft shared by about three dozen people. And that's being generous about measuring the floor space.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
I believe Ondir was heading down to see Grok, maybe now with the money from the fight he could get that healer's kit and can start making some rolls for tomorrow's saves against the filth fever. After shopping he'll put all but the cork, the cheap tankard, and the dagger away into his locker. During the rest of the day Ondir is going to use the dagger to slowly scrape and carve a round hole in the bottom of the mug, small enough to not be too noticeable. I'll take any help in disposing of the rum discretely. Not sure how long this will take but being able to spill the rum without tipping the tankard would help hide the lack of rum I'm getting.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Making sure to collect up the winnings Ondir steps up to Valen and Owlbear, "Good fight you two, and a very noble ending. It seems Mr Plugg's amusement has ended." Casts a cure light wounds spell on each of the combatants, now that the fight is over. Healing Valen: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
He guestures over Kithranna, Riffelan, and Antal. "Best we split this winnings quickly and get back to work." He looks at Antal then looks over Riffelan. He comments, "I'm pretty sure I can get a healer's kit from Grok. It seems like we might need it to fight off the disease from the rats." He looks towards Riffelan and Kithranna as he mentions disease. Heal check to see if Riffelan has filth fever: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
120 gold for the win or did we manage to get the bet up a bit? 24 if we don't want to buy a healer's kit. 14 if we buy a kit from the winnings. With the kit I can pretty much guarantee a +4 bonus to fight off the disease (+9 for the heal check).
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
How do we want to handle heal checks fro treating the diseased members of the party? At what point is it obvious enough someone has come down with filth fever so those with heal checks can treat the disease? If the signs are there I would probably try to spend the night activity treating the party. If my heal check is above the DC of the disease I give them a +4 competence bonus to their saving throw. Treating a disease is only 10 minutes or work and doesn't give any restriction to treating multiple patients or treating myself. So to treat all the injured would only take 30 minutes or 40 minutes if I treat myself. Maybe using a night action for treating everyone or partial night action to treat everyone? Ondir takes mental stock after hearing a sneeze, Antal is clearly come down with filth fever. The rest of us took hits, I didn't feel too well this morning but was able to manage the day. I doubt we'd get any time to focus on recovery. I wonder if the ship surgeon would be able to handle the care. He takes his eyes off the battle to look for the ship's surgeon, Habbly Quarne. He glances at the battle, hearing Valen taunt and is glad to see that the brute miss Valen with a rather vicious looking kick. Not to mention one beat up, though that should be fairly easy to remedy after this fight.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Will save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Well, at least the focus is on her, maybe that will let someone act. Ondir watches the battle continue, at least it's all just punches so far, no lasting damage. As long as someone can get that club out of the way it'll probably stay that way. I certainly hope Valen can pull ahead in this fight, that bet would be good to get. He watches Antal just walk through the middle of the fight and just gives up on trying to keep the halfling out of trouble.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Not on my spell list. The only thing I can think of is the domain power Storm Burst. Standard action, creates a burst of winds and rain strong enough to do non-lethal damage and hinder the target with a -2 penalty on attack rolls. That's probably enough to knock around a club. Would you allow this to knock the club away, ideally before it reaches Owlbear? Ondir sees Mr Plugg reach and throw in mere moments, being more than just a step away he's not sure if there's anything he can do. At least nothing short of divine intervention. He traces the path of the club as it is sailing through the air.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Having lost track of Antal for just a moment Ondir looks around, only to see him already walking up to Mr Plugg. Aw crap. Too soon for a good distraction. Well, maybe I can just let this ride out. It would probably just reinforce the cover story I was planning to tell to let him babble at Mr Plugg for a while. He joins the chorus of cheering of the other pirates around him but keeps his attention on Mr Plugg, ready to act should he make a move to intervene.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Sense motive 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Ondir's gaze snaps to Mr Plugg, Figures, I'll have to see if I can't interrupt him when he tries to intervene. Maybe I can distract him at the moment, Antal seems to be a bit delirious. That can come in handy as part of some distraction. He begins to work his way so he'll stand near Mr Plugg. "Valen is so fast ye only see three of him. This cockfight was arranged by Mr Plugg. I think he wants to see Valen beat, and your new big bird friend to suffer as well." As they are passing Kithrana he'll lower his voice and whisper in Elvish, "The look in Mr. Plugg's face doesn't seem trustworthy. I'll try and make sure this fight stays fair if he tries to do anything, keep an eye out for any other trouble." Working to keep Antal's attention and potentially provide a bit of distraction to others who might he returns to talking with the delirious halfling, "I would bet on Bezebel, he won that belt from ye. Plus I've heard how ye had to chase the chicken around on your first day." He finally works his way as close to Mr Plugg as he dares and keeps a close eye for any movement the man does that might intervene in the fight. He'll look for an opportunity to get Antal to focus on Mr Plugg or to interrupt him by drawing attention to Antal's need for medical care, obviously seeking permission or instruction from the ever wise and caring Mr Plugg, at least hoping it'll be enough to distract him.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Ondir steps up to pull Antal out of the forming ring. "Come now, let the two have a noble fight. Why don't ye tell me about Bezebel while we watch the fight." He keeps an eye open for anyone who might cause trouble, planning to disrupt the trouble. Perception to watch for trouble 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Should we roll onset for the start of the day or middle of it? And When should I be rolling a heal check to aid the infected? Fort save to stat shrugging off filth fever: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Ondir checks in on Antal in the morning. "You don't look well." He hears the call to get to work. "Probably best if you didn't get near food for the crew. I'll be down later to tend to you, looks like it's too late for today." 1d6 ⇒ 1 Rigging work, time to repair. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 171d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 8 - 2 = 10 During the day Ondir will head to see Grok and shop. He'll buy two tankards - one regular and a better quality one (if she has it), some cork (with a flask if needed), a dagger. "Looks like Antal caught fever from the rats, it'd b best to get him healthy again. Do ye know if the ship has any stores of antiplague or healer's kits. Or would ye have any such things here?" Diplomacy check to request aid 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Either way he'll spend a bit of time tending to Antal before returning to work.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
"I fear the same might be true for any of us, if I can't help you in the morning then see if Sandara can help you." He replies before Antal heads down. For Ondir's night activity he will try and influence Badger Medlar. After that he will head down to sleep. Sense motive to determine initial attitude: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
During the evening meal he'll make a point to sit by Sandara and talk with her. "We picked up some dire rats, they were going to make a nest of the bilges. At least before they bit Jack over there and gave us trouble. The four of us traded hits with them, so ye might want to watch us for a few days just in case we catch anything from the rats. How are things going for ye?" He takes a break from talking to let her talk, and to eat some of the night's meal. After dinner, Ondir decides to put the potent alcohol to better use, he takes his tankard and heads off to the bow of the ship. Once there and unobserved he'll use the alcohol as a disinfectant, pouring it over his wounds and onto the deck. Not wanting to use too much he pours the rest of the potent drink over the side. Stealth check to avoid drinking the rum: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Distances himself a little bit from Riffelan as she's talking. What does she think she'll accomplish. I doubt he looks favorably towards us, maybe she just likes the whip. Looking around he spies Jack off to the side. Good, something to be useful at, I hope. "Mighty kind of ye for such concern, Mr Plugg. I better go check on Jack over there. As you said, those rats tend to carry filth and spread it with their bites and he was the first one bit." Ondir steps over to Jack and speaks in a lower voice, "Brave of ye to face the rats, but a bit warning for us next time, right lad? Mr Plugg wanted to send us down without any idea what we were facing and no weapons and armor to face it with. Now let me see the rat bite, need to clean otherwise you might catch something." Works on influencing the lad while checking on his wound, diplomacy check 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 2 = 18
When was the last time some of these pirates last bathed. Those rats could have been infected by their filth. I wonder if they have a heal kit or a ship's surgeon who actually manages to do more than create peg legs and hooks. Looking over his own wounds he says, " Still might even if the outside is clean. Though ye might not be alone if ye get sick, we traded a fair number hits down there. If ye get sick in the next few days, best ye go see Habbly Quarne, Sandara, or me if I'm not sick." He raises his voice after tending to the lad, "That's the best I can do without getting in the way of either of our work. The bilges are clear of them rats. Now back to work with ye, as I'm sure Mr Plugg wouldn't want ye slacking about." With saying that he turns to get back to his rigging work, pausing momentarily to see what Mr Plugg and the others are up before he climbs up.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Well I though there was something down here, though not surprising that it's been kept clear of any valuables. Wonder how many of the swabs run through here. Ondir follows up the ladder last, making sure we hand up or otherwise take the light with is. He'll stop for a moment in the lower deck to remove his armor and find a trunk to place his other gear into. Glancing at all the locks he may have to get a better one. Doing the best he can he dries off the leather armor and sets it into the trunk on top of the other gear. He'll leave behind his mace in the trunk but wear his rapier. Lastly, even with the meager lock he locks the trunk and takes the key. I wanted to check to see if we still can take our daytime activities or does the combat take that for today? If we do have a daytime activity I intend to use it to influence Jack Scrimshaw, getting started with checking the rat bite for any signs of infection. Also, treating a disease is only a 10 minute activity, am I able to treat more than one person or since I'm effectively rolling when they have to roll can I only treat one?
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Turning to Antal he says with a grin, "Aye, but Besmara's blessings require one to work. No reason to bless those who are to lazy to reach for advancing her domains. Of course I find favor in her as well, and my aspirations are similar." He looks over their findings so far. "Not sure how much we're really going to find in the bilges, I'm sure there's more to be had in the two decks above us. We'd best be careful over what we might take, unless we want to get on the wrong side of a whip or worse." Ondir goes once again over the bilges, looking for any last item they might have missed. "I'm not really an expert at stealth, but I suppose my perception and lack of need for light might be handy. Though if there's anything underwater that you might need I can handle that easily enough. Could work a bit as a distraction but I imagine the drink and song Riffelan would use to be better." "What do ye all think of the crew? Sandara is a fine lass, and likely to work with us should we ask her. Rosie has a sharp tongue, have any luck with her Antal? Any others any of ye think might be good allies or ones to avoid?"
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Inspecting his rapier Ondir cleans it off, "Yes, they probably would think us to be down here quite some time if we were using boards to fight with. Just think of how we would have fared without our proper gear." Watching Antal search through the limited light he decides to search as well, maybe his keen eyes might catch what Antal's would miss in the scant light. Perception (taking 20): 28 As he's searching through he continues talking, "So our situation is we're out to sea who knows where. No clue where we're sailing nor when we might be back to land. We need to make sure to befriend anyone we can. I've begun to do so myself. Riffelan might have had some success with the crew, or so the rumors say. Not much privacy on a ship for anyone but the captain. How about ye Antal? Or ye Kithranna?" Ondir sees something in a slightly deeper edge of the water. "What do we have here? He dives under the water, fully submersing himself to retrieve the item, even though he could just reach down to pick it up. Hydrated vitality will kick in to give me fast healing 2, it heals a max of 2 hp, so Ondir is now at 6 of 9 hp Coming back up to the surface he continues from earlier. "We've been cast together by those two or fate maybe. Both of them are foul men, who don't heed Besmara's Code. I suspect Master Scourge and Mr Plugg only barely follow the orders that we need all the crew we can keep alive. I'm sure if an opportunity arose or they were crossed wrong they wouldn't heed those orders. So we should work together as best we can. Maybe we can all achieve what we want that way."

Round 6
Attack rat 6: to hit; miss chance; damage if hit 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d100 ⇒ 371d6 ⇒ 6 Having healed Antal, he turns his focus back to the rat that keeps attacking him hoping to finish it off after its latest miss. Being in a slightly better position Ondir scores a strong hit on the rat, piercing it's chest.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Riff meant it was dead before it could make an Attack of Opportunity as she moved, since Kithranna has a higher init than she does. Round 5, Init 16
Looks at the rat and then over at the blood flowing from Antal's wounds. S&+~, three of us are beat to hell, we'll probably have a case of filth fever after this. But damn if I'm gonna let Antal get killed. He takes a step away from the rat and casts Cure Light Wounds then reaches out an lays a hand on Antal's shoulder. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 At the start of combat you said "The water here provides difficult terrain for everyone without a swim speed (so no 5-ft-steps)." Ondir has a swim speed (though I'm not sure how he'd swim in knee deep water), does this mean he can take a 5-foot step normally? Either way I'm going to take the step so I don't provoke when casting. Just to check as well, Hydrated Vitality activates in salt, fresh, or brackish water (I though it was only salt of fresh). So long as it's not stagnant, poisoned, or trapped (such as an artificial pit or a bag of holding). The water in the bilges would or would not activate this racial ability? If it does, I would be up 2 more HP (since it would have kicked in on round 2). Though it does say I have to submerge in the water, so maybe not. So either 3 of 9 hp or 5 of 9 hp. Though if I do get knocked out, suddenly gaining fast healing 2 would rock (since I would submerge in the water by falling over).

Round 4
Assuming Riff is still up after those AoOs:
Watching the rat he tries to dodge out of the way but the mucky water doesn't let him step out of the way fast enough. The rat scores another hit on Ondir. Ondir retaliates with his weapon, hoping to drop this rat. To hit; miss chance; damage1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d100 ⇒ 591d6 ⇒ 2
If Riff is knocked out after those AoOs:
Taking the risk Ondir casts cure light wound, provoking the attack from the rat next to him. He reaches out to touch Riffelan and heal her wounds. Concentration if rat hits, Hp healed if it misses or only does 1 damage: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 121d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Only 2 points, not quite yet.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Round 3:
Managing to avoid the rat's attack this time Ondir aims to take the rat down. He strikes out with his trusty rapier, but strikes something in the muck and now the rapier is stuck, handle sticking up out of the water. Letting go of the stuck rapier he reaches over and draws his light mace. "Vile sludge, best to just focus on the fight. I'll have to recover my rapier afterwards. Besmara bless me with some healing and some luck, if there's any to spare." Using a swift action to switch judgement to healing. Attack rat 6, to hit with justice; miss chance; damage if hit: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 51d100 ⇒ 481d6 ⇒ 1 Healing: surrounded by healing light, gaining fast healing 1 (for the next round since I switched at the end of my turn).
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Are we on round two or three? Our last set of posts seems to have been used for the round just posted (3), did the rats get a surprise round on us? The init order is Antal (21), Rats (18), Ondir (16), Kithranna (14), Riffelan (3), I think. So wouldn't rats 3 and 4 have been dead last round (2)?
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Loosing sight of the rat he just attacked as it bobs under the glare of the water Ondir turns toward the other rat just in time to see Antal score a fine hit on it. His distraction rewards him with a bite to his leg. "I think the rats got first blood, but good move there Antal." Fort save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Ondir glances between rats 3 and 6 deciding which to strike. If rat number 3 still alive:
Seeing Antal move into flanking and scoring a good hit, Ondir will attempt to put one of the rats down for good so he focuses his attack on rat number 3 as well. If rat number 3 is down:
Hoping to return the hit, he once again strikes out at rat number 6, who is being flanked by Riffelan. To hit with judgment and flanking; miss chance; damage if hit 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 141d100 ⇒ 221d6 ⇒ 2 I believe that's two points of damage, just barely.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
K-nature 1d20 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 3 = 10 Monster Lore, wisdom bonus to identify monsters Ondir watches as the rats ambush him, but they don't score a hit. "Beasts should know their place, I call down judgment upon ye rats." Ondir uses a swift action to begin Judgment, selecting justice. Judgment: 1/day, for the length of combat Ondir will get a bonus. It's changeable, right now it's a +1 sacred bonus to attack rolls. Sound good, all percentile high is success. Attack number 6 with rapier. To hit; Miss Chance; Dam if hit; 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 181d100 ⇒ 111d6 ⇒ 4 Ondir strikes towards the rat but just hits the water next to it as the light reflects on the surface of the water.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
"Anyone got a light, I don't need it but ye others might." Ondir looks around to see if there are any light sources in the lower hold where the crew bunks. Once we figure that out he'll follow Antal down. He'll step away from the ladder to allow other people down and draw his rapier. Perception check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Hmmm you can create an image and then add and move text boxes on it with google drive. The Bilges link that's editable. Ondir's position is noted on it already.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
"I don't know much about the captain but some of his officers certainly aren't. Though I agree it's been the lack of control, the gear is just one simple aspect of it and one small gain in that." He turns towards Riffelan and says, "You clearly know little of the Pirate Queen and preferable combat in and on the sea. The Pirate Queen's favored weapon is a blade such as this, thus I will wield the same. My fighting style leans in that direction as well, those fancy clubs are bulky and troublesome. Especially fighting under the waves or in tight quarters one would want a thrusting weapon such at this or a stabbing weapon like a dagger. The sea resists the force one would put into a swinging weapon like other sword or clubs. Though I imagine breathing might be more pressing for some people." Ondir grins as he makes that remark and comments, "I don't have a problem with that particular issue of fighting underwater." Ondir looks over both Antal and Riffelan and continues, "I'm fine with getting into the fray, but I'm not as hardy or well armored as some are. I have some healing ability, but not as much as a normal priest. There is one thing that's hard to explain, you'll see the effects of it for sure, but be aware that I don't make idle threats of my patron's judgements. I am one of her enforcers and have some authority in those matters." He turns to look towards Kithranna, "How about you?"
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Ondir accepts the bundle of his gear. A quick glance is all it takes to look over his gear, meager as it is. "Aye, this be all that I had before. It wasn't much but it's good to have it back. Thank ye Antal, and ye too Grok. I feel better about going down and killing these beasties properly equipped." He steps out to the main hold of the mid deck and takes about a minute to don his armor and settles his weapons at his side. "I've missed the feeling of a rapier at my side. I'm all set if the rest of ye all are." He stows the rest of the stuff into his backpack and slings it over his shoulders. I'll have to see about getting a locker, and probably a better lock later. Ondir is ready for entering the bilges and doing some killing.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
"Aye, Aye sir. Beat it with a board. I'll get the others and head down right away." Ondir says as he's heading down. Just don't think me defenseless, stupid cur. I just hope the others had better luck than I had. He catches up on his way down, seeing the others on the mid deck. "Ahoy mates, looks like mister Plugg thinks a board to be the right weapon. I don't agree, but I'll work with whatever I have. Any luck? We best be going down to kill these beasties soon though, I think mister Plugg is looking for a reason to whip us."
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Work: 1d6 ⇒ 3 Upper rigging
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Hmmm, something dangerous in the bilges. Jack there says he got bit by something big while hunting rats, we might need weapons for this. Mr Plugg intends to send us down there, supposedly unarmed? I though keeping crew alive was important, yet he seems keen to get us killed. Ondir turns towards Mr Plugg and says, "Aye aye sir, down to the bilges to kill something. One thing sir, how do ye expect us to be killing it? The quartermaster is holding onto our gear. We could try to serve it some of Antal's cooking, but it'll probably survive and be mad at us for it. Maybe if we had clubs or something, I wouldn't have to talk it to death." hopefully won't be sent down unarmed and beaten up
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Stealth to avoid drinking 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 I really wish they'd just water this down or get a decent beer, this swill might as well be orcish rotgut. He muses about better spirits as he's sloshing his rum over the side. Looking over the remainder of the regular crew he plans his nights action. I've befriended Toppin and Tibbs. I'm sure Sandara is a friend already. I think Antal was befriending the halfling lass with the sharp axe and sharper tongue. Ah, there's the next lass to befriend. Ondir approaches Tilly Brackett and starts to talk with her and draw her into a friendly game of dice. Ondir's nighttime activity will be to influence Tilly Bracket.
@Antal, I thought Ondir shared at least the basic crew (sans officers) with you when we agreed to work together. Unfortunately he doesn't know their jobs. Though you could still try for the list of officers or see if you could get their jobs. Or gather the information yourself if you really want.
Male Undine Inquisitor 1
Sense Motive 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 Ondir watches Master Scourge and Mr Plugg, seeing that they are really wanting to find some fault or mistake the crew make, especially the newest recruits. Quite the desire for dispensing any punishment. I think they like the whip a bit too much. Odd that they would hope to grab incompetent landlubbers who they can punish rather than competent sailors who can do their jobs. At least they'll won't find any fault with my work. Ha! I can do my work properly and piss them off. Working hard to keep a smug smile off his face, he focuses on the mainsail. He glances around at the other workers, especially the five that was aiming to pick a fight the other day, looking to see if any are close to botching their jobs and receiving punishment. Maybe if they were on the wrong end of the whip they wouldn't be so swift to heed those two's orders. Should I try and discretely help them fail? A wet rope or floor might just push them over. Calling up the winds might be a bit too obvious, though it'd probably be more effective. Looking out to sea Ondir wonders if some sense of calm is finally entering this new life at sea. Though he does hope to eventually see something other than water disappearing over the horizon to figure out just where the ship is. Ondir doesn't have anything more he needs to do during the day, should we move on to rum rations and our nightly activity? Kithranna is elected to be our silent party member, just like Valen. You really shouldn't try to use diplomacy.
