Hex: (DC = 14)
Cackle (Su): move action. Any creature that is within 30 feet that is under the effects of an agony hex, charm hex, evil eye hex, fortune hex, or misfortune hex caused by the witch has the duration of that hex extended by 1 round.
Misfortune (Su): The witch can cause a creature within 30 feet to suffer grave misfortune for 1 round. Anytime the creature makes an ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check, it must roll twice and take the worse result. A Will save negates this hex. At 8th level and 16th level, the duration of this hex is extended by 1 round. This hex affects all rolls the target must make while it lasts. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day.
Bonded Item – Ring
Patron: Deception

Background:
“I stared at the stars for 10 years – until they gazed back.”

By all accounts, Olofire should have been had a care-free childhood. He was the product of an elven noble and his beautiful songstress human wife. His parents was a love that was true, pure and good. But there are many things that should have been. His dual heritage, however, proved to be a subtle poision. The looks of elven adults and the looks of elven children were never lost on Olofire.

As a youth, he was called “Olo the Odd” behind his back. Initially bullied, he was eventually left to his own devices in his adolescence. He just seemed to know too much, too be aware of too many things around him. By this time any childhood innocence has been lost and even adults found him somewhat unsettling. There was never anything sinister about the half-elf, and through his own actions he proved his moniker correct.

Olo found solace in two things: books and the night sky. He would stare for hours at the stars, the planets and imagine that there must be something more than his forced acceptance. He has no anger in his heart, he just did not belong. One night as he gazed into the sky he felt a presence looking back down on him. It was nothing he could see, but it stirred something within him. As he came down from the rooftop to his room he found it waiting for him – the ring. He examined it for weeks and doubled his reading time in the city library to uncover what it could be or where it came from. Nothing. Still, it beckoned him, almost reaching out to him. At first he chastised himself for giving into emotions he had long ago put aside. The consistency and intensity, however, won out. He wore the ring. At first, there was no change. Then he began to hear the whispers. A lilting, hum in his mind that would come without reason. Yet, it did not lead him astray….

Years passed. Olo had discovered the ring was a gift from his Patron. He was quite unsure of its intentions or even really what it was. Yet he benefitted from it. It made him give no promises. He could take off the ring as he chose. As time passed it whispered to him more and more clearly. In a dream it showed him there was something to uncover in the north. So it is it coaxed him to travel to Nerosyan.
