With the battle over, Olaf finds some fresh water to flush the remaining acid from his armor.

"We had might as well enjoy the rest of Evoking Day", the rogue replies as he considers the firework awarded to him by Amenopheus. "It would be a shame to come all this way and not take some time to enjoy the local customs."

Since the Amazing Red is being stingy with the healing, I'll allow him to act first and suck up the AoO.

Avoiding the worst of the acid this time, Olaf whistles sending his companion in to distract the beast. "Huiginn! Go for the eyes!"

He follows with two more quick shots from his bow.

Unable to reach the dragon across the docks, Olaf keeps up the pressure with his bow. He hustles around to the other side of the building and lines up another shot.

Olaf sheathes his sword in favor of a tightly strung composite bow instead.

After taking a deep breath, he lines up a shot on the impish creature battling Amiri.

Assuming it only took one, Olaf will double move in the interest of spreading out and not being adjacent to the fireworks for the next blast.

Coated in caustic fluid, Olaf howls in pain. "That hurts..."

The rogue sets to work again snipping the freshly lit fuses. He spares a moment to glance at his companions. "Amenopheus needs these fireworks. I'm not tossing them into the bay. You let me worry about the explosives. You take that thing out or its going to turn this section of the docks into a crater! "

"What the- Damn it all!" Olaf curses as he rushes to the pile of lit fireworks.

Working as quickly as he can, the rogue snips off the lit fuses with his blade. As he works he grinds out the severed fuses with the heel of his boot. He takes a moment to glance back at his companions.

"Take that thing out quickly. We can't risk the fireworks going off."

"I'll look around the warehouse first", Olaf suggests.

Finding unusual marks on the lock itself the young ulfen man's brow furrows. "Usual tool marks on the lock. The thieves didn't use standard picks. Smells strong. Maybe some sort of acid? Ezren, when you've got a moment can you take a look?

"I'm decent tracker. Once we get to the warehouse I'll canvas the area. There might be signs of who or what visited the warehouse last other than our friend Amenopheus."

Olaf grunts in pain when he's clobbered by the stony statue. Lacking his brother's talent for wrestling, the rogue settles for trying to wriggle free.

He raps the butt of his staff on the stone floor sending a pulse of magic through the weapon's length. Before the construct can strike again, he steps into position and bashes it twice in rapid succession. "Get it off Rogvar!"

Olaf studies the statue for the span of a breath. The figure represented was familiar but its name was trapped at the tip of his tongue.

He quickly joins the others in scrutinizing the dusty young man but leaves the interrogation to the others.

"Looks clear", Olaf answers the skald after a careful examination of the sealed doorway.

He backs up a step making room for the barbarian. "Care to do the honors Rax?"

Olaf nods slightly, grateful for the recognition. "Just doing my job."

"Let's see what's up ahead", he adds after packing up his tools again. "Slowly. That might not be the only dead-fall."

"Everyone back up a few steps and get clear", Olaf says with sudden authority as he crouches down and retrieves a tiny bundle of oiled leather. "Rax, I'm going to need you to hold your tongue for a moment. I need to concentrate."

The young northerner unfurls the leather bundle. Inside are a number of tiny iron files and picks. With practiced ease he sets to work winching the trapped tile open and securing it so the party can pass through the area safely.

If that fails and I set it off, I've got +2 to AC against the trap's attacks.

Finding nothing in the alcove, Olaf pivots the party. "Let's try the hallway around the corner."

"Have you had trouble with thieves pillaging these ruins recently?" Olaf asks the Venture-Captain as he struggles to figure out he's supposed to eat a pomegranate. "Or are the government minders meant to make sure we're on our best behavior?"

Between bouts of retching, Olaf takes another swing at the needle-fingered field.

Olaf can't help but gag when he's doused with mysterious fluids from the bizarre construct. The distraction is enough for one of its needle-fingers to pierce his leather armor. Sickened 1 and slowed 1 for two rounds.

He tries to shake the nausea before cracking the construct in the knee again.

Not liking the look of a creature with hypodermic needles for fingers, Olaf springs into action. Along the way he knocks the butt of his staff against the floor triggering the potent runestone dangles from the weapon's grip. Gripping his weapon with both hands as if it were a club, he slams it into the guardian's knee.

The young Ulfen man checks out the entrance himself before preparing to open it. He trusted his companions' skills but a second pair of eyes never hurt.

"Everyone ready?" he asks aloud without diverting his attention.
