Adventure Author here!

I just purchased this and it's absolutely incredible. I feel like I'm walking through a super fancy theme part of the thoughts in my head. Each map I open, each area description, it all is done with such a loving and expert touch.

Though I wrote this several months ago, getting to see it in full color, and a fantastic sound design complete with ambient sounds, is bringing it all back to life for me. The locations, the characters, the silliness, and the dark moments... they all live and breathe in this VTT. I'm absolutely flabergasted.

My plan wasn't to run this AP, but after seeing the majesty of this product, and how easy it is to just... run a game... I am seriously considering it.

If you're running this online, or have access to a digital display for your in-person group, you should ABSOLUTELY consider getting this. Not only is it going to save you dozens of hours of prep time, but the result is what you would get if you spent hundreds of hours crafting this experience.

Thank you for writing this wonderful module. I ran my groups first session and we had so much fun with it. Additionally thank you to everyone involved with assembling this module, it works so well, I almost cried a little when enemies automatically calculated flanking, I didn't know it could do that.

My current thinking is to toss Event 2 entirely, and just have play consist of scouting the route and then do the chase in Event 3, with Event 4 available if a fight is called for. Any crossing of the Ustradi would require a second crossing back to get to the saloon.

Thank you for asking about this, I came looking for this thread for just this reason. At this point I think I'll keep Event 2 but instead of being on a bridge I'll have it happen in a sidestreet.

Considering the oldest settled part of Alkenstar is Dongun Hold, I would hazard Dwarven would be the true "Common" of the area with Taldane being the most common human dialect due to trade, but it wouldn't necessarily be the most spoken language.

Has it been stated when the final errata to the core rulebook will be done? Or has it already been done?

Frankly I found Daosvaria to be the bigger encounter when I ran this at high tier. My party almost collectively went "oh s#^%". I loved RPing her, esp since she just stopped fighting after 3 rounds and exclaimed "I'm bored"

Others can naysay all they want but I am positively giddy to have Goblins as a core race. Everything I have seen about Ancestry looks pretty good.

I hadn't though of unusual deity unlocks but that's a good one too. It would help make the characters that make use of it more unique, esp if you show up with a Palafin/Cleric/Inquisitor of that new deity.

Or maybe Riding Rats can just be available.

In regards to Torch I just want a finite conclusion, if the scenario would include redeeming him or letting him fry (again) based on the parties decision and the canon result is based on reporting that would be fine by me.

The only boons I honestly want to see carry over into 2E is maybe a scaling boon based on how much of the PFS 2E Playtest material you take part in. Nothing huge, scale it like the Quests but it would be nice to have something like that.

There needs to be a scenario that deals with the aftermath of Salvation of the Sages, just so we know what the end result of the reporting options is.

I love to use slow track for when I use GM credit on a character, esp if it's relevant to their faction. That way they get credit for the scenario but I'm not taking too much away from the amount of time I get to play them.

All I know is I'm going to be "that guy" and make every character in 2E be a goblin until I run out of ideas.

The RSP has been a big help in my area with getting GMs, to the point I'm now 2 months ahead in terms of scheduling games.

I'd like to see a big scenario with the Deckland family. They've been teased a few times, and they're directly involved in the plot only in one scenario (1-55). Even though they might just be an in-joke among writers, I'd like to see that recurring theme being paid off somehow.

They have something to do with one of the existing season 9 7-11 scenarios.

What about larger scale boons that effect all of a players characters (such as allowing otherwise not legal deities)?

Sovereign Court 3/5

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Maybe something akin to what we have in the current season as far as a larger storyline for factions, but not everyone all at once. Three factions in a given season having a larger scale storyline would be good. Not to say don't have faction tied scenarios for the others, just not as large an impact compared to the focused factions.

This is why the term Venerate is in the glossary of the Guild Guide.

Venerate: Venerate refers to the relationship between
a PC and a specific deity, pantheon, or philosophy of
some sort where the PC follows the cause but gains
no specific mechanical reward as a result of doing so.
Player characters are able to venerate any Golarion-specific
deity, pantheon, or philosophy they wish without
alignment concern.

My Arcanist venerates Nyarlathotep which means it's all roleplay (he hands out pamphlets promising what you could learn by letting Nyarlathotep into you heart, these pamphlets are drawn with crayon) and he gains no mechanical benefit from this.

Irony on Easter Weekend-

Playing t3-4 Pallid Plague, a lvl 2 Halfling Sorcerer goes down and ultimately killed by a near max damage 2d6 Negative Channel.
Afterwards, myself [playing a 3 Gunslinger/Warpriest, who should have prioritized healing the lower level character], another 3rd lvl character, and the Sorcerer player divvy up prestige to revive him.
Only to get an email the next day from the LVA, that as per season 8- we can't divvy up Prestige to revive characters.
Then i remembered, the Retailer Incentive Program! I spend $20, the GM himself spent $40- i contacted said LVA about this oversight and asked him to look into it- as this means the character would have survived, just barely.
Met up with player last thrusday, and he commented the irony of the situation:
"I'm dead. :( I'm alive! Oh, I'm dead. :( I'm alive?!"

I want to use this as an adventure hook for a group and have them prepare 2 characters. First group goes out to adventure, maybe does a quick encounter or two and then BHAM! Starship lands on them, introducing their 2nd characters :P

I... am just going to go giggle in the corner about the name.

(Vesk doesn't mean anything in Finnish, but conjugation is a thing in Finnish, "veski" is a colloquialism for bathroom, and "veska" is another for handbag. Puns will abound.)

It's eerie that it's close to a finnish word for handbag considering the usual insult to reptilian things about turning them into a handbag, or boots.

Shouldn't all of your gear meld into you when you use Bat Shape? It says it functions as Beast Shape 2 which is a polymorph effect

I think OP was asking about a Hydrokineticist. I would treat water blast just as it is written, remember that water conveys pressure really well, so just think of it as the pressure wave of the blast moving through the water.

As I understand it... it's the weapon a Samurai is supposed to use for sepuku. So I guess the idea is to make sure it works. :)

IFIRC the katana has the same property.

Katanas were also used by the "second" in seppuku to behead the person, so again, make sure it works?

The plan I have for my Vigilante is the "Tony Stark method". There's nothing stopping you from using your vigilante talents in your social persona, so just pick social talents that aren't hampered by people knowing you are a vigilante and go from there.

By far not the most ridiculous thing but a monk or brawler can have Masterwork Transformation cast on themselves since their body counts as a manufactured weapon for the purpose of spells.
