Really if I could go back in time. I would have bought this instead of the bestiary box. Because I rarely use singular monsters and I definitely haven't used 75% of the monsters in the bestiary; I like my dozen goblin battlefields. I ordered one of the amazon ones back when they popped up, so lets hold out hope.

Perhaps it was a marketing problem. I don't know that many people view the monster codex as a go to book to purchase. Naming this box after the book may have been a poor choice. Common monsters box would maybe have sold better.

I haven't ever had anything cancelled from amazon in my history of ordering from the site so that would be a unique experience. I wouldn't be surprised if they got a bunch of them after acquiring a smaller shop or one of their miscellaneous suppliers dumped a bunch of them on the cheap. Or they found some that weren't properly inventoried (they have only been out of stock for six months), end of the year inventory could easily have found some that weren't being tracked.

Oh well. Might have to go the pdf to staples route with this one if amazon doesn't end up having any. Could it maybe be priced at the 9.99 book pdf price?

Although I love the spell mirror travel, reminds me of the van helsing movie from several years back. This book implies vampires are terrified and repelled by mirrors, so I don't see how they would develop that sort of spell.

I personally think in my campaigns I am going to rid them of the weakness to garlic and mirrors for sure. Possibly even running water (it is a silly weakness that I don't get). I would almost get rid of the holy symbol thing or specify it has to be a good deity? or maybe that it has to be the characters deity from life? Similar to how the crucifix would mean nothing to a Jewish vampire.
